I can't believe I just found this now. The art style, animation, storytelling... it's all so beautiful! This is truly amazing work and a worthy tribute to one hell of a game.

oneshot is like a dream that all of us had when we were young children, going to a different world and seeing places only the simple and creative mind of a child could fabricate
Theory: oneshot is a coma, it is just Niko’s dream. The player could be a métaphore to his spirit trying to keep his body alive.
That's very plausible, considering Niko is stuxk in a loop and his mind could be the world machine fabricating something to keep him from the truth@@darfunky9880
Omg I love how you did this, showing this shadowed version of Niko as they watch their journey, thinking it's reflecting on their memories. And yet things seem off, they seem anxious, then scared, and the glitches starting building up, and why is Niko facing this white wall and-
And then "Niko" falls through, and you realize it wasn't Niko at all. It was the World Machine. Choosing its form, trying to express itself, trying to help and yet feeling everything slip away until... they fall through. They reach beyond that glass screen, where the actual Niko awaits to accept them, to tame them.
I just want to hug Niko tightly and tell Niko that everything is going to be okay T_T

Sleeping world machine → awakened world machine → idle world machine (starting to paint screen) → world machine observing Niko's travel (more paint screen) → world machine with extreme self blame (the most paint screen, the most blurred picture) → controlled world machine → world machine recording everything (TV at the beginning of video)

As a person who experienced quite lots of tragic loss, I would classified Niko not just an "messiah" in OneShot world, she just like an kind of messiah that saved me from the endless pit of depression and pain although I'm still having influenced from it(I'm prefer "she")
And of course about Entity / The World Machine, i would see him like an reminder to my past self, when my mind has developed PTSD symptoms about losing improtant person like Niko and got worsen too much.
