    My brother had one before he was incarcerated and loved it, but he just drove it stock and it was an east coast car (rust, but not actually that bad in crucial locations)
    When we recovered the car with POA we drove it stock, and it made even my 60 year old father admit that it was a fun little car. In the past, my dad never even considered 4 cylinder cars due to the lack of power, but he enjoyed driving this 5 speed. We recently put the car in my name and the first thing I did was put on a skunk2 muffler (i kept the resonator because i didnt want it getting too loud) and i ordered swift springs but they were on backorder, so i got tein s techs instead. They are a great improvement over stock, and i was thinking about replacing the shocks and struts with new oem ones since they seem to be doing great, but are probably original from 2008. Next up is a replacement sway bar in the front and the progress bar in the rear. I also have 15x7s coming that I plan to put 195s on. It's strictly a street car and that's probably where my build will end, but I can't wait to rip it up in the canyons here in AZ. Love seeing the community for fits, they are just so perfect and need so little. And you're right, the engine sounds amazing. My neighbor even was willing to admit it sounds really good.

    Thought about the Fit but came across a good deal on a new Si. FWD setup is an interesting topic. Front tire rollover is hard to dial out on a strut car. Great to hear you got it solved with 5 deg camber.

      New Si is a really good looking car! I hope I can drive one. McPherson FWD needs lots of front camber to deal with the tire rollover definitely. I have -4 on the Civic right now.

    So i had been looking around for an efficient daily driver with decent utility and 4 doors to put my kids in the back. I had done a little bit of research, and came across the GD3 platform. More searching led me to your videos. Which finally led to my purchase of a Red 2007 sport model this week. Its gross. The interior needs the deepest clean out of any used car of yet to purchase. The paint needs a lot of love. But 175k miles and new clutch, it runs like a top! (except the 1st gear studder when starting out? need to figure out what thats about.) Paid $3k, and i was grinning ear to ear all the way home. You have inspired me to finally dip my toes into some actual motorsport fun. I am also located in the Seattle area (Federal Way) and would like to get into doing some autocross and track days.

      I did RCA correcting ball joints on the K20 Fit and felt almost no difference. I haven’t had any issues with bump steer at all with this car. At current height the tie rods sit perfectly straight so it’s not a huge priority. I like the Monomaxx so far. Only have one track day in the wet and a dry autox on them but so far so good.

    i love the look of the first gen and I think they ruined the front end with the 2nd gen a bit. However the 2nd gen is way better in every way performance wise besides a few extra pounds. Eventually I plan to get a 2nd gen and make it a crazy track car. Right now I have an 03 wrx but I don't want to modify it and beat on it like I could with a dedicated track/autox car.

    Cool video… sounds like your set-up is landing pretty much were u need to be for max performance. You could run less camber with more spring rate and gain some more braking stability… also adding more rear spring rate helps rotation like 10/12. And adding the lower arm bushing helps remove the compliance bushing really cleans up the front end wondering

    Got my 08' yesterday! have been hunting for a while and am selling my DC5 to fund the build. I haven't seen anyone else on the NC01's on a GD3 but am planning to a similar setup with K1's in the rear. • @reshinguneko2355
      @reshinguneko2355  Год назад

      I went back to the BCs actually initial impressions of the godspeeds were good but in the end they had a clunk in the rear that would never go away it was extremely annoying. They were way to soft on track dampening wise on track too. I don’t like the BCs much either honestly but they work. I want to upgrade soon. I’d recommend S3 suspension, MCS, or standard racing suspension as a few suggestions.

    So I live in europe and this chassis (gd) fit for us only came with the 83hp i-dsi engine, the following gen (ge) came with either a 90 or 100hp vtec engine.
    Now the ge fits are nearly twice as expensive, but the ge chassis is also a bit heavier, but apparently the chassis a lot stiffer.
    The i-dsi concerns be a bit, no past experience about that but then again it’s not like the vtec fit has a aggressive vtec profile like a type r. So who knows if the performance between these engines will even be noticeable.
    Perhaps I should save up to the second gen vtec fit. Vtec is tried and tested for years now haha.
