@@builtsubarusti7408 Yeah, in New Zealand, we get the K24 in thousands of Honda Odysseys (the RB2 JDM model), and they have transmissions made of cheese. So, we have lots of cheap good K24's...
Honestly most you tubers focus more on growing there channel and not there audience but you guys do such a good job making us feel like we’re apart of it. Every video at that. When I’m not on the track or working on my car you guys keep my oil running inside me 🤙🏼😂 thank you ❤️
I just bought my first car, a 2011 Honda Fit, a little over a month ago. It's what created my interest in cars and in watching this channel, so now that u guys have a video with a Fit it makes me love the channel even more :'))
Finishing 9th overall and 2nd in the class shows how awesome that Fit is. I love Honda/Acura. They have produced some of the best vehicles in my opinion like the CRX, Civic, Accord, Fit, CR-Z, Legend, NSX, Integra, RSX, TSX and TL. With the right modifications installed, any one of those models can become a weapon on the track. They are even fast on a drag strip. Mid 7 second turbocharged cars and high 8 plus low 9 second all motor cars. I have owned a handful like the 1997 Accord Sedan, 1990 Civic Hatchback with a 4 speed manual, 1999 Civic Ex, 1999 Civic Si, and two 1992 Integra GSR. Even though I drive a Toyota today, I will own another Honda in the future. I loved the 1990 Civic Hatchback and think it would have been one hell of a car with a better engine. A K24A2 out of a 2006-2008 TSX swapped in it with intake and exhaust modifications along with an ECU tune would be the greatest.
I met these guys at Gridlife South last year and they were all super nice, had no problems showing us the car and talking for probably an hour about it and Gridlife in general. Couldn't ask for a better group to get people involved in these events!
This perspective makes the race so much more interesting. You can feel the excitement and tension towards the end. No wanted to mess up and let the whole team down, but also having fun.
I love the K motor, once owned a k20a3 and just fell in love, and to this day feel like its near one of the best engines ever made, not the k20a3 but k motors in general. The k24 to me is the way to go.A fit with a k24 is a killer idea and I love it.
Im always amazed on the high level of cinematography and production in your guys videos with such a small crew. The quality is much better then alot of the bigger budget and big named car channels and shows. bravo!
14+ hours of shooting and days n days to edit with tons of footages.. Mann! I love your passion towards car culture. ❤ Keep doing, we keep loving @gearsandgassoline
Great to see an accomplished pro like Tom taking these one lap heroes out to Daytona for some wheel to wheel racing. It really doesn't get much better than multiclass endurance racing at an iconic circuit. Congrats on a great finish!
Aah love me some endurance racing! Always endurance raced, never done many time attack events. Its honestly an unreal feeling of man and machine for so long on a track, you become attached in a way to the car.
Growing up I wanted a Civic Type R, but I fell in love with a 2012 Accord with a bone stock K24. It's a joy to surprise muscle cars at stoplights with a K24 in a sleeper body 4 door Accord. I can imagine what this K24 feels like in a much lighter Fit. Great video!
I used to drive my Fit for mileage - neutral when I saw a yellow light or down hill. 50 mpg was common, over 40 the eight years I owned it. The times I was in a hurry on a highway, I discovered it LOVED going 90 - 100. Just came alive. Not fair bringing a Fit to an endurance race.
Awesome video!!! I have a 2013 Fit Sport in the driveway and I've been wanting to K swap it for some time. I think it would be the perfect DD, reliable and fast. This video proves it. I need to go actual racing sometime, just looks insanely satisfying. Congrats on the awesome finish! and loved the quote: "That's why we race Honda's".
Nice meeting you at the event Ben! I don’t think that 3rd place team (my team) did bad with a 40 year old RX7 that has been totaled twice and driven by a dentist, a business owner and a paid seat. Lol glad we could give you guys a run for the money!
That’s so rad!! I used to own a 13 fit sport (same chassis, different cosmetic front end)! I totally agree the 1.5 is the downfall of this car! It is way too slow even with the supercharger kit. I ALMOST dropped a k20 in there when my motor blew but honda bought it back from me since it was under warranty and because “it is rare to see this model throw a rod” so I got a new civic Si but I still miss the fit. If you guys are not familiar with Truefitcrew(TFC) they have some guys in there with K20’s also. Wished these were the standard engines as they could literally make that fit last sooo long and going uphills wouldn’t be such a pain for daily driving. Also it’s amazing how much a sway bar goes in this car. From factory there is a lot of roll so I can only imagine what it feels like to have a cage in there. Bet you’d have placed higher if you guys made it to grid
@11:43 that is incorrect... "clutch in" or being in neutral will use more fuel than keeping the gear engaged when coasting. Fuel injectors have to kick in and supply extra fuel to keep the motor turning if it's not in gear.
What a rad little monster of a car! A total weapon with a beast driver behind the wheel. I'll be inheriting my wife's (automatic) 2010 Fit Sport in another year or so. K24 sounds enticing. Hmmm...
9:58 glad to see War Boys from Mad Max: Fury Road finally stopped with the illegal activities to join proper, clean racing! These social redemption stories always hit me in the feels :')
I watched, I liked, now to finish breakfast and off to the garage. Keep it up! Love the videos, it keeps us viewers motivated to finish our trashcans lol
Tomo made more passes in 2 laps than the entire F1 grid made in a full season...
Jackie Ding 😂😂😂😂🙌🏼
at first i was like okay sure another bs F1 joke but then he said 60 and i was like holy f u c k
Funny, but theres an average of 40 on-track overtakes on an F1 grand prix. its just always on the midfield. of course, that is unofficial
deimos wolfe but 60 overtakes in 2 laps is a whole different story
"we're all very competitive"
But starts in last place because its more "fun"
Respect
they missed their grid time thats why they started so last ahahaha

As a former honda mechanic. Can confirm
Except the marker lights on the Fit. Those are a nightmare. Everything else is awesome

Mine is brand new, and I want to swap it now... 😑

Nah baby L15B7 direct swap, 220+ hp with bolt ons. You've never had fun like a little turbo'd Fit.
I have a 13 sport I'll be waiting until the 1.5 gets tired 👍👍
Could you do a video on the actual swap process? Fits are cheap, and K24's are plentiful... Just sayin'. Awesome production values, great video.
And the price of k24's will sky rocket......buy now while you can afford them
