Hey what's going on? I love this truck man. Soon I need to get some speed readings using the Olimat pipe on the ESP head kit I put on it. Curious the outcome. I know it has more torque. This video is using a stock Zenoah g320 with a 990 carb and ddm dominator pipe belt drive.
Hey what's up man. I didn't think that speed was bad either. It definitely weighs more than the Xmaxx. And doesn't have that snap of torque to get the front wheels up. Otherwise it is very fun to drive. Thanks for stopping by

Hey what's up. I gotta get to know you man. You are popping up in a ton of videos. Much appreciated. What is your name? I am Gorley and go by Gman most of the time. The lipo receiver battery is a great upgrade. You have to use lipo capable electronics with it. The servos and receiver have to be able to handle it. I use a little 2800 mah 2s lipo. I have never ran it dead. I get several tanks off of it and it is tiny. Can velcro it down in the stock battery box. Here is the one I use. But there are cheaper ones. @@MrRunnerdog nice to meet you Rod! Ya man any time. I am a RC junkie. Always on the mind. A charger. Yes you will need a charger for a lipo. I balance charge before going out and storage charge at the end of the day. Check out the Hitec X2 or a Venom Dual charger. Both work well.
Appreciate that Man! I have all sorts of Redcat videos. I also have a Redcat Dunrunner. But I have to say this Rampage MT is my favorite. Thanks For Watching!
R/C CUSTOM I have no clue why this truck is faster than my buggie either. Only difference is the carb between the two. The MT has a 990 Walbro and the Dunerunner has a 1107 Walbro. I have yet to gps the buggie since rebuild so we will see. Thanks For Watching Bro!!
Man, I dig your mt truck but you got to tell me where you got the belt drive system. I would like to put one on my Red-Cat Rampage MT V3. Dude, you got it going on brother
Sup man! Thanks!! The belt system I bought from a German seller on ebay. Stern-CNC. I haven't seen him have it in stock in quite some time. Not sure what is up with it. Hope you find one! Appreciate you stopping by 👊🤘
I have the exact same one I fully modified and upgraded everything she runs beautiful I but doesn't move at the moment I have to get a new front and rear differential then shall be ready to go
Sweet! So good to hear from other Rampage guys! This truck is my favorite RC by far. So fun and nimble. So your diffs. Not sure how familiar you are with these trucks. But I used to shred rear crown and pinion all the time. Man I went with the aluminum housings Redcat offers with their helical crown and pinion. Good rubber sealed bearings. I haven't had the problem since. The straight cut crowns. I've actually shattered one. Junk. The helical. Much different story. I really appreciate you checking out my video. When you get a minute check out my channel. I have years worth of MT videos. 🤘👊

Thanks! The tank. You have to unbolt the rear diff assy from the chassis to get the center shaft out. Kind of a pain to do. But worth it. Guessing you got the ddm Dominator?
@@SteelCityRC thanks for the quick reply.. ugh! I went with the jetpro & silencer ..chrome looks good on both. I luv em both to be honest..its huge.. just came today..not installed
@@SteelCityRC say that clip where you were in the parking lot and you reluctantly gunned the rampage and lost control almost hitting you! You howled...
Yes. The ddm Dominator makes a noticeable power difference on the stock engine. Most of the dual outlet pipes are made of aluminum and don't hold up well. Find yourself a good steel pipe and you will be good. Jetpro and Olimat also make pipes for the MT. Thanks for stopping by! 🤘👊
It sure looked and sounded faster than what the gps said. I was thinking about changing the gear ratio for more top end speed. One of the great things about it is that all the stock gears that's already installed is all that is needed, just swap some around. There was a website where I saw a picture chart for that type of gearing. My brake discs are not functioning properly so it's been a dirty gassy shelf queen for a while now. lol
No that is not the stock Redcat HY 32cc engine. It is a stock Zenoah g320 engine though. Using a belt drive transmission instead of the stock steel gears. The belt ratio is slightly higher than the gears. So that along with the lighter wheels it really scoots good for a 5th scale gasser. I really appreciate your comment and watching my video. Any more questions, hit me up!
@@lawmensrc5882 it is out if stock now, but he replenishes the stock. I have that system on a Redcat Dunerunner too. Had to wait two weeks for more stock. Good luck
Ok. I will say out of five 5th scales this particular Rampage MT is my favorite RC. It frustrated me to no end with little stuff. Like screws coming loose etc. Which were all my fault for not going through it with a bottle of blue loctite in hand. That being said. The electronics to be frank, suck. I got rid of the servos and radio system and all those issues cleared up. The stock engine is decent man. I put that same pipe on in this video with a 990 Walbro carb and it ran better. Eventually I got a stock Zenoah g320 engine for it. Ran that awhile. Then bought an ESP race ported head and piston kit on it. Really woke it up. But in the video that is a stock Zenoah g320 using a belt drive transmission. Oh and I'd get aluminum diff housings and helical crown and pinion gears for in there. Lighter tires help too. Those are about the same height as MT tires but not as wide and lighter. So all in all the Rampage MT is one hell of an RC that needs some attention and a willingness to open the wallet. Lol Thanks For Watching!
