Absolutely an underrated movie. I think it's seen in a more negative way because it doesn’t feel traditional MCU. Not over reliant on humor or pop culture references, much more of an homage to the original series. Excellent video man🔥🔥🔥
Ed Norton is awesome and definitely my favorite Bruce Banner. I feel for him every time I rewatch the movie. And Liv is just perfect. Not just calm and sweet, but positively angelic. The perfect contrast to Bruce's turmoil. Call me old fashioned, but I love this type of pairings.
2 of the MOST underrated mcu films will ALWAYS be the first Thor and the incredible hulk. 2 great films for the characters that truly understood them. Idgaf what anyone says.
The best Hulk movie!! My favorite scene is at the end, when Banner is meditating and there's a counter going down to the number of days since the last "incident." When the counter hits zero, he smiles and opens his emerald green eyes, as if to say that Bruce and Hulk have finally found a balance between them, like Jekyll and Hyde in the movie The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
This Hulk was incredible. This Hulk was savage,it had rampage. It had rage. You could see he wasn't invulnerable. He sustained injuries in from of cuts, bruises and gashes. The madder he got the stronger he got. This is, for me,the definitive Hulk. I miss it terribly. Mark Rufflo played the Infraggable Krunk. Yuck.
In the-MCU-films Hulk got-SMASHED-into submission so bad by Thanos he was afraid to come back out again.Thanos beat tha-BRAKES-outta Hulk !!! LOL. Then Iron-Man knocked out the Hulk with the Hulk-Buster armor, the only fight Hulk won was against Thor, but,we know why tho. LOL.
The Russos don't know how to write Bruce and Hulk's character at all in no way what so ever, Marvel had doomed this man for so long and it was only the beginning of it.
The Incredible Hulk is still my favourite MCU film, followed by NWH and the 2012 Avengers film. I too remember watching it almost everyday on DVD back in the day, along with the Raimi trilogy, the 2003 Hulk film and the Tim Story Fantastic Four films. Glad to see people appreciate it more and more
Amen, brother! This film is the definition of underrated 👏 I remember when this came out, and going to see it at the cinemas, and just grinning ear to ear throughout its entire run-time. This film is everything I wanted to see in a Hulk movie! I have been a Hulk fan since I was a little kid and this movie absolutely nails everything I love about Bruce Banner and the Hulk and his mythos and shared cast of characters. We have the iconic, fugitive on the run angle with Banner, him trying to find a cure, the Hulk being this unstoppable force of nature, the Abomination being absolutely fearsome and ruthless. I love everything about it! I have never been able to fathom why people didn't like this movie. It is exactly like a Hulk comic lifted from the pages and put on screen. All of the cast nail their roles. The Incredible Hulk has always been a top 5 MCU movie for me since day one. I'm glad to see it's finally receiving some love nowadays 💚
I remember watching this as a kid at my house with my mom on the couch with my Hulk toys in 2010 and having nightmares about the Abomination💀💀💀. Those really, really were the days😢
This has always been my personal Hulk movie ever since I was a kid this is nowhere near close to being the MCUs worst movie. Quite the opposite more like on the list of the best MCU movies next to the Winter Soldier it's a perfectly well written masterpiece comic book adaptation. Edward Norton was just perfect and born for the Hulk/Bruce Banner I cannot take Mark Ruffalo seriously. And I just absolutely hate what the MCUs done to Hulk since Edward left they nerfed him so hard it's just unbelievable and disrespectful to the character. Just imagine if the MCU kept Edward Norton gave him a Hulk trilogy with the same tone as this one. And if we saw this Hulk face off against Thanos instead such wasted potential. I personally agree with everything you said so damn true.
I don't give 2 shites what anyone says, Norton is still my favourite Banner and Hulk. 👍🏻 He was frightening as Hulk and I felt sympathy for his Banner, the way I felt with Bill Bixby's Banner. Edward Norton reminded me of Bixbys Banner it's why I liked this film. This is the Hulk that could have eventually beaten Thanos, without his glove /gauntlet.
I still have issues with the fact they switched Edward Norton for Mark Ruffalo for more than just the fact that Norton actually feels like a natural Bruce Banner
Hulk just looked amazing in this, and had the right amount of savagery that made him a force to be reckon with, plus he yelled his catch phrase in the end
The incredible hulk 2008 Is my favorite movie I didn't get a chance to see in theaters but I saw it on DVD I remember watching it after finishing iron Man I was 5 years old when I first saw this movie back then 2008 right now I still love it to this day in 2024 right now I'm 21 I'm happy that I watched it back when I was 5 years old
Fun Fact: This movie marks the 4th time that Edward Norton played a character with DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) Primal Fear Fight Club The Score (2001)
In my personal view, the MCU reached its peak with The Incredible Hulk ( my personal favourite) and maybe Iron Man in 2008. Since then, for various creative and business reasons, it has been on a downward trajectory for me. I stopped watching MCU movies after “Infinity War”-I didn’t even bother with “Endgame.” It wasn’t out of rage or an active boycott; it was simply due to apathy.
The Incredible Hulk will always be one of my favorite top MCU films, I honestly think it’s the best directed and story film with a clever theme plus I think the pacing is top notch, however I will say that it does start running out of steam quick by the time it reaches its 3rd act, but nonetheless the ending was breathtaking. In ways I kinda wish they continued the story even with Mark Ruffalo, but well… yeah.
I am happy that someone shares my love for this gem. I think the Hulk should be this vicious and shocking. I adore this character, but it depends on who the writer is. I am not happy however, how he is portrayed in modern depictions.
Keep in mind this was the very first film of the mcu. With first films of a franchise cinematic universe studios and directors always test the waters to see if it’s profitable. Safe to say the Incredible Hulk is the best one of the mcu for sure but this pattern works. I mean after hulk we had iron man and we all know how that turned out.
This movie also has the best marvel theme. Along with no way home and all the 1,2 and 3 spider-man themes. My fav theme from the soundtrack is the one called (hulk and Betty) and (Bruce and Betty) soundtrack theme.
Not only Hulk, but bruce banner had a better personality too, this awkward but with a bit of sass character, that is visually tired of everything. And it seems to be more intelligent than Mark's you can buy he was a scientist Its way much better than the quirky and dumb MCU bruce banner
I remember watching the movie for the first time and liking so much and wanting a sequel, then wondering, "Why in the world did they replace Ed Norton?" Then I found out; BTS issues.
Edward Norton as Dr. Robert David Bruce Banner / Lou Ferrigno as The Hulk (Voice) and (Motion Capture) William Hurt as U.S. Military General Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross Liv Tyler as Dr. Elizabeth Betty Ross Bruce's Girlfriend / Lab Partner Tim Blake Nelson as Professor Samuel Sterns AKA Mr. Blue AKA The Leader and finally we have Russian-British Assassin Emil Blonsky AKA The Abomination 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This needs a sequel soon. Marvel Studios' The Incredible Hulk II: World War Hulk (2026) Cast: Mark Ruffalo Liv Tyler Tim Blake Nelson Tim Roth Harrison Ford as "Red Hulk" Samuel L. Jackson and Gary Oldman as Brian Banner Bruce Banner's Father AKA The Absorbing Man Directed by Louis Leterrier Written by "Ed Norton" Produced by Kevin Feige Distributed by Marvel Entertainment and Walt Disney Company (Not Universal) anyway makes this happen please artists
I agree.. Off the top of my head, I like this Hulk movie, Blade 1 and 2. Those were my favorite Marvel movies. I also love Guardians of the Galaxy 1 and 2. Those are the best movies for me.
I love the dynamic between hulk and bruce. Bruce's goal to keep him in check and don't let enybody get that kind of power becouse it would get out of control. And there is all aspects that was cut out becouse this film wasnt so popular like bruce that can defend themself and hulk who is not only stupid big green guy but also realy powerful wepon. I had hope back then that they could make duo banner and hulk more cooperative wich could resoult with realy powerfull character and not in comediant smart hulk
This is the hulk that gave me nightmares when i watched in my childhood. The mcu one has great banner but the design, its just slime green ball.08' Hulk is the most comic accurate in looks and size goes to 03'(imo)
Suspense was too high in certain scenes of this movie where Bana transforms into hulk as if we don’t know what hulk is going to do.. could have gone easier as the current hulk is portrayed though the new hulk did not ever have his own stand alone so there’s no content to compare other than 2003
I thought I was the only one! Marvel (paramount in this case) made 3 great movies: Hulk, Ironman and The avengers, everything else from that point on went downhill starting with the awful Ironman 3 up to all the garbage ended in 2019.
Best Hulk by far the later Ruffalo version well just wasn't as intimidating & it just got worse the later it went on, please don't get me started on She hulk either as that is truly an abomination.
Now she'll see Greatest ross line This is the best hulk movie for all time . Just like how henry is the superman of all time. People hated henry cause he wasint a simp. They hated andrew garfield because he wasint a simp. They hated norton because he had a chick. Most haters hate on people who have what they dont have.
Let me begin with Craig Astrong's music for the film esp the flower it is to good. Honestly not seeing Edward Norton as the HULK and instead getting soyboy Mark faggawfullo was tragic. Ill enjoy the film as the stand alone masterpiece it is and forget the overrated mcu avengers as the propaganda garbage they are.
A very under rated MCU film. Hulk is terrifyingly brutal, and Ed plays a great Banner.
16 years and we still didn't top this Hulk... Just the best!!
Facts this hulk was so mean loved it
I would challenge anyone movie producer or all them together to try n tops this movie. And I be a million they don’t top it off.
I bet a million
Yep
This Hulk needs to come back. He was the shit.
To this day, this was the ONLY Hulk movie I've bought tk watch at home.
Easily the scariest and best Hulk no questions.
Absolutely an underrated movie. I think it's seen in a more negative way because it doesn’t feel traditional MCU. Not over reliant on humor or pop culture references, much more of an homage to the original series. Excellent video man🔥🔥🔥
Even though the Ed Norton Hulk had lesser strength than Ruffalo Hulk, the design and mannerism made the Norton Hulk more terrifying.
This is the Hulk.
This is THE INCREDIBLE HULK
That opening sequence in the bottle factory is still the best hulk in live action to this day.
Yeah Liv Tyler is one of the only hot girls in the MCU, it’s pretty sad
Great movie. I think Blonsky is my favorite character. The way he engages Hulk and holds his own for a little while at the university is so badass.
Ikr
2 of the MOST underrated mcu films will ALWAYS be the first Thor and the incredible hulk. 2 great films for the characters that truly understood them. Idgaf what anyone says.
Naw Thor ass but hulk for sure
Both of them are in my top 5 MCU movies for sure.
I don't think the first THOR is underrated I would say that applies to THOR THE DARK WORLD
First Thor is the best Thor.
@@dnice4145 THOR RAGNORAK IS THE BEST THOR
The best Hulk movie!! My favorite scene is at the end, when Banner is meditating and there's a counter going down to the number of days since the last "incident." This is the real hulk a monster, constantly being hunted and hated not some fluffy water down joke in avengers
I remember watching this as a kid at my house with my mom on the couch with my Hulk toys in 2010 and having nightmares about the Abomination💀💀💀. Those really, really were the days😢
Hulk needs to be like a combination of this version and the current MCU version Smart and Savage
This has always been my personal Hulk movie ever since I was a kid this is nowhere near close to being the MCUs worst movie. Imo the incredible hulk game is also fairly underrated its obviously not good but man was it fun and to me thats all that matters for a game.
I still have issues with the fact they switched Edward Norton for Mark Ruffalo for more than just the fact that Norton actually feels like a natural Bruce Banner
Abomination the type to give u nightmares as a kid
Hulk just looked amazing in this, and had the right amount of savagery that made him a force to be reckon with, plus he yelled his catch phrase in the end
sick vid, personally I think the title goes to one of the X-men movies but Hulk is def up there
Kind of but X-Men is not an MCU movie.
We need this Hulk back. The real “Incredible Hulk”. Can you imagine if we had gotten the “World Breaker Hulk” from the Comics in the MCU.
Howard The Duck is underrated as well. 😂

The Score (2001)
Underrated and under appreciated movie. Incredible Hulk is best Hulk movie ever made.
This Hulk should’ve made a appearance/comeback in Deadpool and Wolverine
Agreed
The best Hulk ever
Defo mate 👍🏻

No. Iron Man was better. Captain America wasn't that bad either.
It is very underrated, so underrated its not even an MCU anymore eventhough it started the whole thing alongside Ironman
I mean it does some gets some references and there’s footage on iron man 2 and avengers
Iron Man is better.
Iron Man 1 released sooner, it released in May while Hulk released in June
This movie also has the best marvel theme. Along with no way home and all the 1,2 and 3 spider-man themes. My fav theme from the soundtrack is the one called (hulk and Betty) and (Bruce and Betty) soundtrack theme.
This Hulk should have been in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Literally my favorite marvel Solo movie no one can change my mind
Not only Hulk, but bruce banner had a better personality too, this awkward but with a bit of sass character, that is visually tired of everything. And it seems to be more intelligent than Mark's you can buy he was a scientist

The most terrifying hulk ever
I had hope back then that they could make duo banner and hulk more cooperative wich could resoult with realy powerfull character and not in comediant smart hulk
And also this verison of the Hulk in live action is the only to his catchphrase Hulk Smash
The best Bruce & Hulk yet.
I bet if this came out now, it would’ve smasged it in the box office.
we also have ang lee/eric bana hulk which felt more so as a tragic mutant rather than a brawler.
Incredible Hulk is definitely top 10 ranking.
Please bring back Edward Norton for *Incredible Hulk 2.*
One of my favorite movies. Sadly Universal still owns the rights the character so marvel won't give him a solo film anytime soon
To me this is still is the best MCU movie
Abomination actually looked terrifying but now he looks goofy asf
This is the hulk that gave me nightmares when i watched in my childhood. The mcu one has great banner but the design, its just slime green ball.08' Hulk is the most comic accurate in looks and size goes to 03'(imo)

100% agree.
This is my favorite MCU movie i absolutely love it man
By far the best hulk rendition. Ruffalo's hulk is a nerfed, cowardly wimp. Can't stand Ruffalo hulk.
This is d best version of d hulk does get tired doesnt back down from a fight wish to dis version of d hulk
Hulk está muy infravalorado
I thought I was the only one! Marvel (paramount in this case) made 3 great movies: Hulk, Ironman and The avengers, everything else from that point on went downhill starting with the awful Ironman 3 up to all the garbage ended in 2019.
It's great film, but i like the feats of 2003 Hulk best.
Totally agree
its rated the appropriate amount. not one rate more not one rate less.
Agreed!!!
Seriously amazing movie Yoow ost 🔥 why this type of movie
Not make nowadays like raw movie...don't want commercial flim ....
Glad I didn't bend to mark ruffolo's hulk and stayed loyal to Edwars Norton hulk as the the best before it was popular to know like it.
Best hulk ever
bring back Edward fire mark
The best hulk ever!
Best Hulk by far the later Ruffalo version well just wasn't as intimidating & it just got worse the later it went on, please don't get me started on She hulk either as that is truly an abomination.
been sayn this
Before the MCU became a normie-bait clown show
Captain America without Steve Rogers sucks.
Lean Hulk is best Hulk
Now she'll see
Greatest ross line
This is the best hulk movie for all time .
Just like how henry is the superman of all time.
