Thank you, Kelly for explaining the drafts. I bought a beginning heddle weaving book that has drafts in it, and I could not understand it. Your video has helped immensely!
but what about 4 shaft drafts? If i don't have a second heddle, i assume i'd use pickup sticks but i'm still not sure how i would thread the heddles at that point
I have resources for 4 shaft pattern weaving on a rigid heddle loom. Hi Kelly, I learn so much from your videos. i think that I signed up for a tutorial on weaving placemats, but I could not find it on your website, nor see how to contact you to continue with it. Would you help me?
I found you in my student list, you have purchased the Woe to Go class. You can access it via this link and then signing in with your details- kelly-casanova-weaving-lessons.teachable.com/p/beginner-rigid-heddle/?preview=logged_out
Such great instructions! I get it. Also, the lesson sets the foundation for reading multi-shaft drafts. Thank you.
You are so welcome! 😀

Great to know!
Great intro to reading drafts Kelly. Understanding this info first, makes reading drafts with more shafts easier by far.
Thanks Gai!
Thank you for explaining this!
I've been wondering how to read drafts and how it can be used for my rigid heddle loom.
You're welcome, I'm glad you found it helpful!

I have a suppliers list here that might help - kellycasanovaweavinglessons.com/2017/04/weaving-suppliers-lis.html
So interesting my rigid heddle has the ability to use 5-6 heddles how many shafts will this make for me 😊 thank you love you videos 👍
That would mean 6 - 7 shafts for you, depending on how you decided to set up and on the pattern requirements.
Thank you so much now my head is spinning on what I can do with it do you have a class on multi shafts on a rigid heddle

If I understand your video correctly, than are number 1 is the ched Up and number 2 is the ched down? (on the RHL)
Correct - at least, that is the way that I thread the rigid heddle loom. Some will thread the opposite way.
Thank you ❤️
Thank you! Is there a good online site for patterns, drafted this way, for up to 4 heddles?
Handweaving.net has a lot of drafts. The Handweaver's Pattern Directory by Anne Dixon is am excellent book.
