    Great tip. I also make the first and last warp thread double thickness. It helps a lot.

    And here I was thinking that I am the only weaver who had a loosey goosey string on one edge. I thought there was a problem with the way I have been warping. Thank you Kelly, once again you have come to my aid. I can't wait to try this out!💞

    Thank you! I’m new to weaving and my loopy, messy edges almost caused me to give up but I gave this a try. It has made all the difference and has given me the confidence to continue to improve. I have learned so much from you and you on line classes are priceless.

    THANK YOU SOO much for solving this annoying problem. I noticed this from the very first project I wove, just a few short weeks age. I couldn't understand why it was happening, and thought it had something to do with the fact that I was right handed, since the problem was always on my right side. Clipped that slot bugger and now all is perfect! You are the absolute best instructor. Stay healthy and enjoy your new home.

    Like some of the other ladies one side was always neater than the other. This will be great on just a plain weave where I am not counting patterns. Thank you for this great tip.

I’m especially grateful for this tip for the thread in a hole solution, I now have perfect tight edges on my weaving project 🤩 I’m seriously considering joining your weaving school 🥰 cheers and greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 🌷

    What would I do for a pattern that calls for an even number of warp ends?

      @KellyCasanova  3 года назад

      That's one of the downsides - you have to go with an odd number of ends. If anyone has a workaround for that, please let us know! 😊

    Can you tell me what are the "sticks" you are using? It looks like they make it easier to start straight lines. :) Thanks!

    • @KellyCasanova
      @KellyCasanova  Год назад +1

      The sticks I use at the start of the weaving are cardboard separators. I use them to help organise the warp and close the gaps before I start weaving.

  • @ImGinaMarie

    Since you are dropping a thread, would this be a problem when using a pattern?

    • @KellyCasanova
      @KellyCasanova  2 года назад

      Yes, that would have to be taken into account 😊

  • @johnmichaels6794
    @johnmichaels6794 3 года назад

    I was pondering this and am stuck on how cutting the one thread won't leave an unattached thread when you get to the end of the weave.

    • @KellyCasanova
      @KellyCasanova  3 года назад +1

      That hasn't happened to me, but if it did, I would just weight the loose thread over the back of the loom. Easy ☺️

  • @marlenemead4931
    @marlenemead4931 2 года назад

    Could that thread have been cut off instead of untiying it?

    • @KellyCasanova
      @KellyCasanova  2 года назад +1

      I guess so, I just like to retie the bunch to tension it nicely again after removing the slot thread.
