@@gsjourney3054 You have the Special Edition? I woulda loved to have had that thing at the time. My first car was a 2004 Honda Civic LX sedan, & I was bummed to find out my car didn't have Vtec. Same been through many cars from BMWs to VWs and back again but the only thing that stuck around with me is my 02 RSX Type S. It's fully stock with no mods and only Honda Genuine parts have ever touched it except engine oil and oil filter.

I own a base model RSX and it is pretty damn quick for a daily driver and it still turns heads. The R type was also rated the best front wheel drive car of all time.
The integra type r would be that best handling FWD car. The ek civic was a similar chassis and was also amazing to drive. I have an RSX type s and it’s pretty nice, but still not the double wishbone suspension that was the amazing EK and DC2 integra
Tommy Y and for series power mods people can just turbo or supercharge or even just drop in a k20z1 (if they have an a2 or a3) or the popular k20/k24 setup
I have an 06 RSX Type-S and I can tell you for a fact it’s fun. I bought it for $6,000 and I have maybe $5,000 in it with repairs and mods. It’s so much fun to drive. It’s shifting is so smooth, it sounds good if you have the right muffler, and when I get to around 4,000 rpms and let off the gas my exhaust pops 🤪 I take it on mountain roads all the time and it’s a blast. Bought a 2003 Type S about a month ago, decent condition and mostly stock for a good price. I'm 32 now, but it was the car I wanted back in High School, so it's like I've come full circle lol. It's going to be a track car (eventually) but right now im just doing small mods and making vlogs about it.

They may not be blistering fast but that's why you throw a precision turbo on it. A 4 cylinder engine that can handle nearly 500HP stock is pretty crazy and gives you a lot of bang for your buck.
Well yea rsx-s aren't fast on the straights but if you go touge and hit the backroads then you'll outperform pretty much everyone else, make subtle power that's under 300, upgrade suspension and handling, and you'll do fine around corners.
Doing 60 on a 90° corner is consider easy, doing anything 75+ you gotta have faith in yourself, but if its like a 90° corner going down hill then play it safe.
Always love when I’m chasing a car down and they gotta baby the corner, with some good tires and confidence/experience you can catch up to some car in some corners or double lane off ramps
Yeah man this is where these Fwd platforms can have an edge. Yeah driving fast in a straight lines cool and all , but circuit racing is where a little 4 cylinder Fwd car can excel even with a gap in power.

To properly boost a Dc5 from stock, you are looking at like $8-10K.. This includes everything from the fuel system, to the tuning, to all the little labor needed.
You are missing one of the best reasons to buy one. You keep saying it’s not fast and it’s not by today’s standards but if you want fast you don’t buy a 370z or a sti they are quick but you drop 10k in a type s and you got over 500hp. And you are still sitting less than 20k for the car and the turbo and bolt ons. If you pay 40k for a 370z you or get 350hp. Still not fast just saying
I got a beautiful '02 Type S in nighthawk black. One of the nicest cars I've driven(I havent driven A LOT of cars so my view may be a bit biased), the feeling of the car on the road is phenomenal and it holds up to this day. Plus the transmission is so clean even after 20 years of driving, it's crazy just how fantastic this car is and is criminally underrated, especially today. I'm looking to add a cold air intake for more power and a front splitter to add some downforce in the front, especially because I have the dope rear wing for it.

Unfortunately I hydroplaned while driving a freeway interchange and totalled my baby :( I wasnt even doing anything fast or stupid. RIP rsx, I miss you so much
So you want a Cobalt SS, In the time when everyone was turbocharging their economy cars in order to spice them up. GM decided to stray from the bunch and throw a supercharger into their economy car at the beginning of it’s life eventually opting for a turbo in later years. It would make for an awesome video!
I threw a LSD from a DC5 Type R in my transmission and wow what a difference, puts the power down in a much more efficient manner. Next thing I need is a billet slider and riser for the power steering rack to correct the angled tie rods from being low and tighten the steering.
I have a Honda integra type s 06 model and I don't know bout.. Not fast lol.. But then again it's a k24a2 swap.. And has Hondata with other mods.. And car limiter is no more... So it won't be lambo fast but so far... Smoking guys left right and center... So it's about how much u willing to put in the car.. And with K series the skys the limit.. @@tdot7084 Its not that expensive but K's can add up quick. Especially if you want a GOOD kit that will be reliable and that is very well made..
That’s a factss!! 5 k in my sti for 370 at the wheel 🤦🏾♂️..an I’m looking at a few types s rn I can’t lie lmaoo
Been waiting for this vid for a while, i love my 06 type-s
Totaled my 06 accord a couple days ago, been lookin for an RSX
Gotta love the simple body style older cars have
I got a beautiful '02 Type S in nighthawk black.
I like the RSX im buying one from my friend tomorrow its a 2003 lightly modified and it looks insanely good
I just bought an RSX type S myself! Love it tbh
I have a type s 2006 and I love it I make costom all most everything on it, spoiler wide body turbo and AWD system and for me is the best looks acura with all goodies looks really a jdm lamborghini 🥰 and mine is fast 537 to the wheels and I'm happy I killed some super cars with it 😈
Watched this video two days before I got my 02 type s for my channel
This video just makes me sad :'( I owned a 2006 RSX Type-S, only 87,000 miles. Paint was in perfect condition, clearcoat still in tact, flawless inside and out. Unfortunately I hydroplaned while driving a freeway interchange and totalled my baby :( I wasnt even doing anything fast or stupid. RIP rsx, I miss you so much
I cant even watch the whole video I'm too sad
😰
Bought mine in 2002, still got it, car kicks ass. Not the fastest, but a blast to drive.
"So you want an Acura RSX?" Nah, I own two of them and they are amazing cars.
i have an 06 rsx only 122k miles still clean looking gonna do a few light mods and i couldnt be happier!
thank you very much! holy crap!
So you want a Cobalt SS,
In the time when everyone was turbocharging their economy cars in order to spice them up. GM decided to stray from the bunch and throw a supercharger into their economy car at the beginning of it’s life eventually opting for a turbo in later years. It would make for an awesome video!
Y’all were on point with this video!
Always liked the RSX. A very nice car to drive... stock
I threw a LSD from a DC5 Type R in my transmission and wow what a difference, puts the power down in a much more efficient manner. Next thing I need is a billet slider and riser for the power steering rack to correct the angled tie rods from being low and tighten the steering.
You mean Integra DC5 for us Yardie boys
Mhm
Love this video, i have watch it like 4 times… cuz we deserve the appreciation they giving us for having a blast of a car
I had an 02 rsx with a k20 head and k24 block with cams
Made 260 on 93 and 290 on E85
Miss that rsx
I have a Honda integra type s 06 model and I don't know bout.. Not fast lol.. But then again it's a k24a2 swap.. And has Hondata with other mods.. And car limiter is no more... So it won't be lambo fast but so far... Smoking guys left right and center... So it's about how much u willing to put in the car.. And with K series the skys the limit.. But thanks for the love u have shown for the dc5...last of a dying breed!!
Half of this is just saying its slow lmao, just throw a turbo kit on it. The k20 will do 500whp on stock internals.
This video makes my Acura rsx feel loved!!! Great first car hands down!!! On god
I’m buying this car soon, idc if it’s slow but it’s a great looking car and has decent performance for its price
If you get it tuned it will
Be a very fun car and beat gtos at least that’s what I’ve done!
@@MyMegavenom I'm checking out one tomorrow to potentially buy it as a first car, it definitely has water leaking into the spare tire well but I'm like 90% it's just the tail light gasket
@@benbot2.087 did you end up getting one or another car? would love to hear your thoughts about it if you did get an rsx
I want to buy acura rsx type s 2006 right handed steering with customization
Do it up! Would have to start looking the JDM market and importing one 👀 -Edgar
I don't wan't the RSX , I just want it's guts for my MR2 Spyder. This pile of Toyota's worst needs all the help it can get.
Mmm, K swapped MR2. nice.
@@SpudEater I am not the first but yeah it is rowdy as F lol
Rsx is a headech i have a 2003 and the signals wont work i check all the fuse and the relays and nothing.
Okay, now do the better predecessor, “So You Want an Acura Integra”. Go over all trims 🥰
Agreed
It’s the same car
@@alex52595 lmao no its not
In japan they are, but still a different chassis and goodies on the rsx compared to the integra.
TheForbiddenTaco yes it is it’s a Honda all Honda’s are the same pos
Been looking for a decent one for a couple months now good timing on the video
Just bought a 02 RSX type s for 1000. 2.0 6speed. Not idleing properly. Hoping easy fix.
check the ivac, if you search around theres tons of videos that show you how to clean it. Super easy fix, 9 times out of 10 thats the issue with it not idleing right.
@@forrestlowe9468 thanks for tip. I'll give it a try.
Clean your IAC valve
@@shanestewart3211 I did runs perfect now
Sold my base RSX just last week. Definitely was a good car that lasted me awhile for a daily. will for sure want to drive a type s version one day
SO YOU WANT AN MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE 4 videos im a row 😂 love the vids
I have a integra B18 rn and I love it. But I know someone selling a RSX- Type S so I'll probably buy it.
you would be surprised how many Rsx are around Quebec/ New brunswick
I bought one that is untouched from a senior citizen and it’s a type s I love it
