It can’t drift but it’s hella nice at power sliding corners. This car is one of the best starters for getting into the car scene and a great daily.
Definitely wouldn’t sell my RSX under 5k during these times. It’s value is increasing, I only got 89k miles.
Mine has 85k but it’s an automatic base model so idk how much itd be worth

I don't plan on selling mine at all. They are going up in value tho. A really clean 05-06 is going for around 10,000 in Florida
Not every car needs to be rwd or a "drift" capable car. Some of the best driving experiences are simply done by just enjoying the ride. Nearly all of my favorite rides are "slow" but what they do offer is a driving experience that doesn't require going 160mph down the freeway but one that can be enjoyed at any speed. Great video nonetheless!

I've had zero emissions or oil leak problems. I use to burn a half a quart of oil every 3,000 miles on mobile1. I switched to Castrol and barely burn any. With the right exhaust setup, they sound pretty good. I get compliments on mine all the time. Someone commenting on my exhaust is what got me here.
I second this comment. My 190k mile rsx had a valve cover leak at 90k that I fixed and that's it. Never had an emissions issue or check engine light either. All I got is suspension, spacers, and intake tho
The reason the sound system sounded good was because they used to use Bose system and in the type-S it had a sub in the spare
Thats the sub thats in my car?! i just bought my rsx last week interior needs work and it has 133k miles got it for 6.8k only problems are the rear passenger rims is super scuffed and some chunks taken out of it I found new ones tho, and my 4th syncro grinds a lil when going into 4th, do u think a transmission fluid flush would fix that?
I have an 02 RSX Type S with about 80,000 miles and it's a great car. It's in excellent shape and a near perfect balance of fun and practicality. I was hoping to get a 22/23 STi and to keep the mileage low on the RSX but with the recent WRX unveiling my hopes for wanting that are dwindling. Rebadging a 23 Civic Si as an Integra is a return in name only.
On my second RSX in 17 years. The seats will rip if you daily/drive a lot. The exterior window molding will flake and show chrome. The paint will peal clear coat if you don't wax. My second RSX eats through knock sensors for some reason, the first one never did. My second RSX's door lock actuator died. Other than that very reliable car.

Another thing is the RSX can fit a lot Of luggage the trunk space is great and when you fold down the back seat it’s even better

I fit a WHOLE L shaped desk along with a huge office chair in my RSX in one trip. RSX is awesome
Humble makes an AWD kit for the RSX, it can be a drift car if you have the money for RWD bias setups. I've also personally seen a few RWD modded RSX models, one of which had a J series mounted in the rear but he isn't finished with it, trying to knock out a few kinks, like keeping the frame from twisting up.
I have a base 05… 187k miles and maintained it well and hasn’t let me down yet for 3 years
My dad bought his rsx in January of 2002. He might be one of the first 1000 people to own one, since it was released in that month.
I am HUGE on music so I love that the rsx came with Bose speakers & a sub

got a 2006 type s 106k miles after only having rwd the fwd feels so good in the canyons
I love the RSX. First one was my blue 02 type s and currently have a 05 type s. Oil leaks only a issue if you don’t maintain your car though. I reccomend these coupes to anybody that wants something like a sporty civic without actually owning a “civic”

My mom was using the RSX type s for a daily drive. Thank god it’s low mileage
He is not wrong about the check engine light and emissions issue in the ugly section, it's almost always just a bank O2 sensor though. I would also say an 8000rpm redline is a massive pro with this car. Wrong car if you want to be a drifty boy but if you are a fan of GT or track racing, this is the car to get.

FACT OF THE DAY:

Exhaust note fully depends on the exhaust set up you are running and other mods.
The whole emissions thing has been non existent from my experience.
The only negative I have is the oil consumption. Every two to three weeks I need to top it off.
I had the same issue. Issue stopped when I changed the gaskets for the spark plugs/valve cover
I haven't been able to find a rsx that dosent have issues with emissions.
Any exhaust note that sounds like an LFA? Or anything other than a rice rocket sound
i got me a base model but its in the best condition nothing is ripped but a small part of the floor that has floor mat so wtv but i love it so much go for the rsx😎

I just bought an rsx but I gotta say please don't hate on the automatic it's very reliable I know the past automatic Hondas were terrible but this one is very very reliable I would recommend it as a starter I'm slowly building mine but soon I will swap to manual because it costs 2K to do the whole swap and for under 2K I can K24a2 swap instead and throw more at it

I'm not a fan of low ride kits or the slanted wheels 🛞 so I couldn't even finish watching the video. I bought an 02 RSX and it cost me about $700 plus to remove the low ride kit and put on the original suspension system. The custom rims were nice of course so I kept them on.

Hondas don't suck because they are the best and most fun economy car ever made! D series 1.6 can put out crazy numbers with turbo. Let alone the b series. Hondas have roots of motorcycles and f1s. Atleast 00s and older

I have a acura csx type s but there are barely any videos about those cars my acura csx type s has a k20 and is a 6 speed and the motor is at 305,000 and the v tec still hit hard can you please cover this car no one talk about them, they are basically a 4 door rsx such nice cars

I hate the stock radio in the rsx but I also don’t have the Bose package I had 2 15s on a 8k where the back seat was cause that backseat was so small I said I don’t need that shit
I wouldn't say the RSX's have insane suspension.. Previous gen integra is way better with double wishbone
Both have their pros and cons, the dc5 actually is better at maintaining high speed stability and grip and flatness but doesn’t corner as fast as the dc2
My 03 RSX engine is at 260k right now and it's still pulling strong. All stock still :)

I have 2006 Acura RSX Base but have converted to a K24 Turbo and Type S 6 speed manual. The suspension totally changed and the auto system with Two 10 Bass. The car is another world. Next year will have the final conversion to E85 or any fuel automatically, plus AWD. 😊
