How time passes the people in this film most of them must be around the same age has I am now in the 70s now but it was the best time to be grown up back then the music was fantastic and things we less of a problem
Cliff is 83, Hank (lead guitarist) is 82 and the Drummer Brian Bennet is 84. The keyboard player Alan Hawkshaw died in 2021 and the bass player, legendary John Rostill (who also wrote 2 songs that has been performed by Elvis Presley) died in 1973 at the age of 31.
Yes only the vocals are live ,cuts a pre recorded track done earlier in the day , quite common back then , look at Brian on the drums , he has trouble starting and finishing too , it's quite a tricky medley to mime to , to be fair
5:35 classic clapping on the off beat by the audience, clapping to the melody instead of the beat. It woud be off putting but cliff is singing to a pre recording , Mr Bennett realises
Interesting, I have always loved the sound of the Burns guitars and the superb tri sonic pickups (and own three). A great shame when Baldwin bought them and replaced the name on their guitars.
@@Dragondave1000 The pickups on the Burns (and Baldwin) Marvins were REZ-O-MATIK not Tri-Sonic and almost exact copies of the Fender single-coils found on the Strat.
@@rogerfairhurst8705 I know My Marquee has Rez-o-matik ( great pick ups any way )but my nu sonic , spilt sonic and Bass are all Tri sonic. All as good as the Strat (imho)
@@blueshadow7385 ...returned in 1973 when the Shadows reunited. From 1970-72 it was Marvin, Welch and Farrar. When Bruce dropped out of that they were just Marvin and Farrar.
@@peterchecksfield9958Yes I bought it and it was dreadful. The Shads hated it too but Cliff's management released it because this was pre- I'm Nearly Famous and his career was on a downward path. That's a Strat on Wonderful Land not the Burns he's using here.
les Shadows : mes idoles depuis 1966 !!!! époustouflants de talent ! l'osmose avec CLIFF est toujours excellente .

In their eighties now Cliff and the Shadows!

@@denporterhdproductions8310as am I, 81 and been a fan since Move It!

Hank is a genius. He can even play the intro with no hands

Génial, very good 💖🙌👏👍😍🤩😉
Really Shadows one number everytime❤❤
Cliff Hall is superb
No Cliff Hall, it's Alan Hawkshaw
In 70 s dressed in this move it I remember this clothes style cliff stayed in our city in hotel my friend did go out in car together he told me
Who’s playing the other guitar on move it ?

They must be using a backing track (or an off-stage extra musician), as a rhythm guitar can be clearly heard behind Hank's lead.
I think it's backing track don't no why they would mime
Where is Bruce Welch?
@@stephenfreedman he left the band 1968 or 69
Even Atlantis didn’t sound anything as normal with the ‘Hank Twang’ using the Burns
They're certainly miming, Brian's snare strainer is set to the off position, but the snare is on.
Brian Benneth is so handsome
Where was Bruce Welch?
He’d left the group at this time. He would emerge again for Marvin welch and Farrah a short while later.
Better with fender guitars
no ! just different !...but really excellent !
Without Bruce Welch.
Irrational, maybe - but I hated Hank playing Baldwin and Burns. Didn't seem right!

Guitars aren't the problem, lack of echo is, for Wonderful land, especially 😮
Even the extensive use of the volume pedal? can't help it
Some tunes sound better with the Stratocaster.
Where's Bruce?
He left the group at the end of 1968
He left the Shadows due to personal health issues in 1968, But returned in 1970 when the Shadows reunited.

play bach ......aie!
The Beatles were better.....I think?
They were both the best in their particular styes to my mind. Can't beat The Shads when it comes to guitar instrumentals 🙂
Ou est Bruce welch????
He'd left the band for a while. This line-up recorded the dreadful 1969 'Live in Japan' album.

Les Shadows se sont séparés en 69 avant de se reformer plus tard, d'où l'absence de Bruce Welch. C'est un des piliers du groupe. Jamais égalés
It’s not the Shads without Bruce.
Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse !! Mais sans Bruce ce n'est pas tout a fait thé shadows!*****
