This house looks so straightforward from the exterior but wow. It isn't straightforward at all! So many nooks and crannies that you need to resolve, each one a puzzle itself. The downstairs is kind of a nightmare. I wonder what the owners were thinking when they put that together? I agree with everything you say: open it up, make it consistent, gut the kitchen and demo the one wall (maybe add a nice island?), fix the floors and doors and moldings and add nice closet doors. The mud room/utility is exactly what it needs, as well as a slider to access what is a very nice backyard. I would use the "throne" structure to hold a nice BBQ/smoker/pizza oven. It's too bad you can't add another bathroom downstairs but if it would take 6 months for permits, I agree that you have to skip that idea. Will you sheet rock the garage? It really looks dark and old. One thing you didn't show us is that stairs to access the front door. Are they in good shape? This will be a fun one to see completed. Go do your magic, Elisa!
Excellent video! I can’t believe you don’t have 1 million subscribers, your channel is just as good, if not better, than the house-flipping shows on HGTV. This might be my favorite video you’ve made in a while! I’d love to see how it turns out as you rip out the walls in the bathroom to make it bigger, that sounds exciting. One suggestion: maybe skip the outtakes at the end unless they’re really funny. They don’t match the polished vibe of the rest of your video. Keep up the amazing work, you’re killing it!
Looking forward to the finished product. You do an awesome job! The grill in the back just needs to be pressure washed and a grill put on it. Since it is for grilling, it shouldn't be painted. Once you level the backyard, it is going to be a great area for entertaining.
I like your videos for the honest approach and numbers. I'm curious, how do Asian-Americans feel about open concept for the kitchen? Here in Cambodia, kitchens traditionally were out the back and separate from the main house. When I built, I put the kitchen at the back to keep the heat and pungent cooking smells out of the living area. It has worked really well despite not having an actual door to close it off.
Can you have a closet company give you some ideas for that funky bedroom closet that looks like stairs? Maybe they could design some built in thing that would actually be an upgrade. The garage and downstairs will be great when you are finished. The laundry room and mudroom will be beneficial. I think this one will be a nice surprise and I look forward to seeing your results.
I feel like the masses have also started rejecting grey houses. Do you think using soft exterior colors like navy, pastel greens, or cream will make a comeback?
Another strange house. The guest bathroom stumped me, who puts a tub right by the door? So awkward. So much of the existing floor plan doesn’t make any sense. Yes to gutting the kitchen and removing both walls, even if one is load bearing. The ceilings have to be addressed anyway. The basement needs a bath, even if the permits take awhile. Can’t wait to see what you come up with.
imagine how smelly and ugly the house would have been for those living there. I am sure team has done dumping all the stuff from the home after purchase to get rid of all negative energy.

The kitchen and downstairs is not that bad.
@@saulgoodman2018 are you nuts?? that kitchen is HORRID .. so out of date.. random blue paint on ancient cabinets.. gross
@@hwy9nightkid Nothing wrong with blue paint.
Using white paint on everything is getting old and tired.
Thanks for the detailed walkthrough of your ideas! Stay tuned for more updates.
Such an interesting layout. I look forward to see how it turns out.
Thanks! Stay tuned.
I would do an outdoor grill for sure!

Thanks so much! You're so kind! I'm really enjoying working on this flip, and I'm excited to share the end result with you.
I really enjoyed this video and hearing your thoughts and strategies for flipping this house. Looking forward to seeing the end.
I appreciate you watching! I'll be sharing the final reveal soon.

Those bathrooms have the wonkiest layout I've ever seen. Can't wait to see how you resolve it.
Thanks for watching! You'll have to wait and see!
I look forward to the final results. What community is this?
I’d guess Daly City? Curious to know, too.

The big closet area can be a movie room or game room🙂
Kudos to you for keep construction cost under 150k in the Bay Area with all these.
Thanks for watching! It takes a lot of planning and a few creative solutions!
Did you know you can stain brick?
I feel like the masses have also started rejecting grey houses. Do you think using soft exterior colors like navy, pastel greens, or cream will make a comeback?
look at that roof line.... try to vault the ceilings wherever possible!
1. Paint all bricks grey
2. Remove as many walls as possible so it's drafty "open concept"
3. Destroy all greenery with Home Depot wood chips
Love your ideas!
@@TransformRealEstate It's a house than needs some clean slate approach. Good luck, you have some work cut out for you
It seems you’re on a bit of a budget with this one? I know your finish product will be a huge improvement tho. 😊
You're right, it's going to be a fun challenge to bring this house to its full potential!

Necesitas rediseñar los baños hacer uno bien hecho y tal vez medio baño para las visitas, pero dos baños maltrechos, no está bien.

We gonna call this House of Illusions cause what in the world is going on here
