This trip really opened my mind to how some people live! Huge respect for this friendly community! I didn't realise how much nervous laughter I had until I was editing! This was a place that really did surprise me and I think that came through in how I reacted to everything I saw! But laughter seemed to break down a lot of the cultural and language barriers we had, and I was so happy with how it turned out.
Isolation is an advantage to the community. No greedy developers will be interested to push them away, free from material envy, culture will be preserve, absolute happiness is always on their faces no matter how hard life is. I never thought of community isolation as an obstacle to improve quality of life. Because there is nothing to improve. They have not to pay a gym to keep in shape, food are all organic fresh air, and many more advantages..... 😎
@@michaelamontemayor448 that is exactly the dilemma I was thinking about while I was there. Isolation, quality of life, development... How do we balance it best?

I like these kind of travel vlogs. Not doing it to earn but to really understand and show the culture of the tribe. I love how passionate you are to show us this culture that we dont really get to see everyday. I mean we heard and read about T'boli tribe in news and magazine but not as raw and intimate as this. Not all foreigners and media get to feature the real life of these people from Mindanao. This is to change the perception of other people and Filipinos about Mindanao. We dont really live in war here. We have this beautiful life and culture. Thank you Kumander for sharing it with us. Thank you for your passion and dedication.
Kumander, you really set yourself apart from the other vloggers. Your videos are very entertaining as well as educational. Giving us just a small peek on how the T'boli tribe lives and how they live very simply makes me reflect at my own life and changes that I must do to live better. Thanks for an awesome video!
Good job Kumander Daot! I cried about all the kids eating arroz caldo but at the same time happy of what you have contributed. “Never take anything for granted!” Love your video! God bless you always! Watching with love ❤️ from TorontoCanada! 🙏🇨🇦
Beautiful drone shots. Always enjoyable content. To have water. The things we take for granted in the UK. Hard hike. But well worth the journey. What a great experience for you. David is lovely. And all the people you met. Lovely video. Thank you for sharing. Have a great week. Take care.

I have a lot of respect for people like David who comes to see them without a hidden agenda.
I agree with you - there is a balance between preserving the culture and economic development, when I speak to the people they just wish it was easier to sell their produce and that they had a school 🙂
Another heartwarming, thoughtful and entertaining vlog from one of my favorite vloggers. You are so down-to-earth, and the simplicity and goodness in you always exudes in your every vlog, Anselm.
