We climbed a little mountain on our friend's land here in Cateel, Davao Oriental. It was a beautiful short trek that gave us a view of the coast, river system, and rice fields along the highway. On our way down, Kumar grabbed some "palwa" or coconut stems, and we tried our best sledding down the mountain side on them...
Did it work?

Kyle,better use the newly cut "palwa" rather than the dried one...it slides easily down. We used to make sled by connecting several pieces of palwa, so that me,my brother and friends can ride.We do it everytime we harvest coconut.😂

Yes,it's by destiny that Kulas met Anselm,he is a good man...GOD is great to make Anselm happy being a stranger trying to establish a business that can help locals and for him to make a living here in our country.

It always puts a smile on my face whenever kumander daut appears in your vlog kulas. He has this commanding presence that exudes positivity. His laughter is contagious. Also, i wonder if mama rose would adopt us there. Her foods seem to be so inviting. She also has this aura of positivism. What a nice family you have there kulas.

I noticed something new at Mama Rose's kitchen - little tweaking? I like the changes. The transformation makes the kitchen look spacious, brighter and alive. Keep the good job going Mama Rose - rooting for you. Your modesty Mama Rose is admirable, and humbling - don't doubt yourself. People can learn from you. You are an influencer in your own right. The ocean like color of your cabinets are easy to the eyes - cool! You have a SOUS CHEF today Mama Rose - the talented Kumar. Looked like the video was taken early. Sky is looking bright and sunny with scattered alto stratus clouds hoovering. Aerial footage of the rice paddies and rice farm including the rice growth stages are ahmazing, far and wide 360 degree view - speechless! Looks like nimbus cloud is on the horizon - rain is coming - for sure. Riding at the back of the truck is absolutely fun. Messes up your hair but the cool air that brushes against your skin is I bet refreshing. Sledding in the Philippines on a grassy slope - that is so creative! You guys are zipping down! Doable! Bring with you thicker plastic bags next time. Have you check though if there are snakes hiding in the stacks of debris - cobra perhaps? So, the owner will metamorphosis the hill into trail - Great! Not a fan of changes. I prefer the hill as is. Anselm is such a character, not afraid to poke fun of himself - what a guy! Looked like, result of his business is not affecting him at all. Black shirt is flattering, has an slimming effect to the wearer and easy to mix and match. Moon is starting to show on the horizon - what a night! Good catch Kumar what KKK. stands for. I am entertained - as usual - stay safe guys! Keep the positive attitude going Kyle!

Anselm you rock! Other people would have sulked and wallowed in their misery and felt it's the end of the world after losing twice in their business. But what did you do? You hung out with your friends and went on a hike and did coconut sledding. So much lesson to be learned here for everybody. No matter what challenge life may throw at you, just do the Anselm way: slide down the hill on a coconut sled! Much respect to you man. Thanks for the valuable lesson you shared with us.

Kyle/Kumar, it's was wise to emphasize what "KKK" in PH means n not d other 3K's of north America... they are a million miles apart. The mountain view is breathtaking, overlooking a massive wilderness at its purest. Why many ppl would rather live in crowded cities 4 better job opportunities is mindblowing. One can live comfortably in a rural setting as well w/d right attitude n willingness to live w/ what nature can offer... simple n healthy living. Kyle n ur happy bunch of friends, another vlog another good day...

I remember how cateel devastated by typhoon pablo last December 4 2012..so many people suffered during that time and I'm one of them.. but we are indigenous people...as long as there is hope'no retreat no surrender'...now look at this place Davao oriental, cateel and baganga..soooo beautiful

Kulas, palwa sledding is one of the best and maybe extreme sport that we do during childhood. Palwa sledding is where i get the scars on jy legs, and knees, and elbows. But it's a lot of fun... power on kulas
Cateel landscape is much like Bali. Imagine having a villa up in that hill with that view.
Why do you ppl associate Philippines beautiful places like little bali, mini bali, like bali, little new zealand, little maldives, little chu chu. Philippines cant have an identity of its own? And Fyi bali is just a hype and overrated.
