Scott was the Bass player who passed sadly...his brother has subbed in a few times ...Tim runs the group from his studio in Atlanta with his high school buddy Darwin....Sammie is Tim's daughter...they have/had a band called the Mustangs before F&F ...
I had heard that the bass player had passed, but nothing beyond that. So sad because the group really seemed tight. Thanks for the info and for the listen as well.
Hi David. Do you mean Seven Bridges Road? If so, I reacted to that one. LOVED IT. Going to react to another one of theirs in the not to distant future. Thanks for the listen.
@@ModernLifeForThe70sMind Yes, that’s the one I meant. I came across Foxes and Fossils a couple of years ago by happening to find their version of Helplessly Hoping which even to this day is probably my favourite F&F cover. Better than the CSN original in my opinion.
@@davidhodgson9997 hi. I've held off on listening to more so that I can react to them. From what I've heard though, they're amazing. So much talent between them all.
I love this band, Foxes and Fossils, and they are my favorite cover band from America on RUclips. After not performing live for about 5 years they finally did two concert back in late December, 2022 and I was lucky enough to go to Atlanta to see them on that first night and they performed for about 3 hours. Of course even with a concert that long they still were not able to do everyone's favorite songs but they did many of the favorites from RUclips and also did a few new covers and a couple of originals as well. They released on the new covers from the concert on RUclips about 2 weeks ago, which is a Beach Boys song called "Sail On Sailor" and it's live and still freaking amazing. Their harmonies are just so good and of course the band shows just how good they are as well with this live performance. Hope you get a chance to check out "Sail On Sailor". The whole concert is coming out soon on Pay per view. So keep checking their website for information if you're interested. Great job by the way with your reactions.
Having grown up with the Mama's and the Papa's I thought I was listening to Cass Elliott on that one part. She really captured her voice and spirit. And yes I'm old enough to remember the Cowsills. They would be great to cover that song. In 9th grade some friends and I entered a talent show and performed The Rain the Park and other Things. Almost had forgotten that song. Thanks for the memories. 🦋
@@ModernLifeForThe70sMind I love fun music - songs that don’t have any hidden agendas or issues. I think we need more of it. We have so much serious or disgusting or even inspiring and encouraging. Sometimes we just need fun.
Bob, I also was privileged to fly to Atlanta as many did from all over the country and saw both shows. Hope you get to see the whole PPV/stream . I’m 77 years old and turned out to be a groupie.wonderful job on your reaction
I had heard that. I think it was on some special or something I saw on them. Yeah, I guess they felt that he came in "wrong" so perfectly that they decided to keep it. LOL
The two males also play instruments so there has to be some editing to produce the final song. You should listen to their version of CSN's "Southern Cross".
Bob, I’m a new subscriber and really enjoy your reaction videos. I’ve already discovered a great new band (to me that is) through your videos, Home Free, and hope to find more gems from your collection. I ‘discovered’ your work from my love of the Foxes and Fossils cover videos. I know you prefer to create your reaction videos during first listens of songs and you have had such positive experiences from the three F&F videos you’ve checked out so far. Having listened to all of the Foxes and Fossils work for the past 3 or 4 years I can attest that they rarely disappoint. Their song choices range from classic rock and pop songs from the 60’s through current music (even several Christmas tunes) are obviously carefully chosen. Everything they do is so well done vocally and instrumentally; they are wonderfully satisfying listens time and time again. Kudos are rightfully due to Tim Purcell who is the true band leader and produces these videos from his basement studio. As you discover more of their music, I know you will be constantly impressed as I have been. I look forward to more of your future Foxes and Fossils reaction videos if you are compelled to work a few (hint, gentle prod). Nice work, thanks. (Lou from Pearl River, NY.)
Almost everyone records in Tim's studio now as Sammie and Chase are back in Atlanta. Maggie often sends audio and sometimes video from home in Nashville. Scott (RIP) and now his brother Ross send bass from Virginia. Rick Meeder from Atlanta on bass here. Studio recording all tracks are recorded separately as individual members have time to record. Tim does the recording, mixing, and video editing, having about 5 songs in various stages of production simultaneously. (Example of Maggie and Chase singing together on 'Dedicated', perfectly voice matching each other the first weekend they ever sang together) The rain, the park etc has been requested often so stay tuned...
I just came across your channel and saw my favorite artist CHRIS STAPLETON and watched your Tennessee whiskey reaction... Well, i of course was gonna subscribe but i saw it was a year ago so i couldn't wait to see your other CHRIS videos! When I saw the amount of reactions you did and NO MORE CHRIS STAPLETON??? Well that got me upset (mad) 😡 So please redeem yourself and do "COLD" LIVE AT 2021 CMA AWARDS to start with ❤
Dude, sorry Bob you need to listen to these guys from 10-12 years ago live. No overdubs just live. They do Monday,Monday, Black Water, Suite Judy Blue Eyes, Runaway, and Landslide plus about 15 others. There is where I always think the magic happens. Lots of people, groups never approach what they do in the studio. These guys do. Ron
Yes, I saw that there were some older live cuts. I'll pick one and react to it, although there is one that I'll probably do first since it's been requested many times. Thanks!!

On the Mamas and Papas version, Denny came in too early on one part, but they kept that in the album recording.
