this was originally a "game" mechanic in the VN the player clears all sidequests and each mission awards him with an orb of light at the end, if sufficient orbs are collected, a miracle can occur It doesnt translate that well into a format like anime or manga
@@PorungaSan probably because it wasn't focus on too much but all of the info is in the anime, I thought that the town legend is just a sub plot that it is not important later but when someone mention it that it was connected to the ending everything make since to me.

Clannad. Man, this brings back memories. I watched the series hoping for a normal comedic slice of life series. Can't remember how many times I cried, especially the latter after story. Can't wait to see Subau's reaction to that

@@TonySharkks yeah the VN has aged much less gracefully... actually some episodes of season 2 had the K-On art director on as a guest art director and those episodes look even more modern style
Not being rude, but I’ll never understand the “bug eyes” complaint. Anime’s are always going to have different art styles. It was a style at the time and I think it’s still held up. There are plenty of American cartoons that have even worse styles and those still get praised to heck despite being “weird” to look at. Clannad has a unique story and a great soundtrack most people can enjoy. Plus the animation itself is top notch.

You get used to it in like 3 episodes, and it's a KyoAni show so the production values and animation quality are still higher than most modern shows.
