(note : this is from my own speculation, so this is could be right or wrong, only key knows) Ushio and Fuko are depicted as God of their own respective world, while Tomoya existence kinda like singularity between 2 worlds, first he wish Ushio to keep alive which is make her reincarnated as his daughter in Fuko's world, but when Nagisa in the verge of dying he also made wish that he never meet Nagisa, this is meant he have 2 wishes that contradicting to each other then to make sure about his wishes Fuko granted a "dream" to Tomoya, a Dream where he loss both Nagisa and Ushio, in the end Tomoya choose to cancel his 2nd wishes by hugging nagisa, and grant him Happy ending. also if you aware about it, Fuko woke up from coma earlier in Tomoya's dream to check on Tomoya situation, while she woke up later in current timeline (living nagisa), cuz she spend more time to rewrite Tomoya's wish.
dang, had no idea how tied fuko was to all this. I came to a different outcome myself. I was assuming it was mostly ushio's efforts in the illusionary world and fuko was just a product of the orbs in that world. I also interpreted the ending where nagisa and ushio dies as another world and the many routes okazaki goes through are different worlds as well. The true ending where both nagisa and ushio lives seems like a world where okazaki used all his orbs of lights in order to perform that miracle and the city granted him that miracle through those orbs he has collected throughout clannad. Idk where fuko fitted in all this but the dream stuff makes entirely sense as well if you look at it that way. I always thought that sequence of okazaki and nagisa meeting at the end of the "original" world as the city showing him a last minute decision if he really wanted to wish for him to never meet nagisa and him rejecting it and thus, ushio sending him away from the illusionary world to the true ending. Very interesting to discuss this but ppl come to different conclusions like many of key's works and jun maeda's storytelling.

Note, though, that so long as you didn't totally dismiss the fantastical elements that's been present since the start in the show, it _is_ possible to get this the first time.
@@9308323 definitely, the entire anime has dropped a ton of hints to the supernatural stuff ever since the first episode and you can piece together the pieces yourself to come to a conclusion. However, some things are kinda hard to piece together when you are just casually watching like what was fuko's whole deal.

ゲームだと各ルートクリア→ループして光集めて、全ルートクリア後にようやく渚が助かるって流れだけど、
アニメでは1周で全部集めきってる感じにしてるからループしてる感じが出てない。最終話のポッと出のトンデモ展開になってしまってる。
アニメだけ繰り返し見ても理解は出来ないから、みんなゲームやろう！

これは原作のゲームじゃないとわからない仕組みです 朋也(プレーヤー）どれくらい努力と時間をかけて光の玉を集まってやっと渚を攻略ことができて アフターストーリールートを突入することになり さらにこのルートも光の玉を集まないと結婚することもできない これが終わりだと思ったら今度渚を救うためにふたたび全部の光の玉集まないと思いきやまさかのそのうちの一つを風子のために使わないとhappy end にならない 今でも鮮明に覚えてる若い頃このゲームのtrueendの為に夏休み丸ごと費やしてやっと全ルートクリアすることをてきた🫨
自分も学生時にやっていて、何回もプレイして、たどり着きました😢
ホントにめちゃめちゃ時間かかったけど、ハッピーエンドにたどり着いた時の感動と達成感がヤバかった！
アニメだと最後がどうなるんだ？って思ってたけど、いい感じにハッピーエンドになってくれて感動した(*^^*)

原作知らんと御都合主義っておもうよな
もちろん初見だとこの最終話が訳分からんのは分かるけど、よくこの場面でご都合主義とか言えるよな。正直右上(？)の奴だけ本編通してずっと冷めた反応してて何やねんコイツと思ってたから最後の最後にこの発言してくれて逆にスッキリとした感情になれたよ。
絵やギャグの感じ、岡崎はDQNやヤンキーのそれだから、その辺りで一定数受け入れられない人が居るのも事実。なんか心なしか眠そうな顔してるから、合わなくて始めちゃったから完走しただけって可能性もある。
そんで感情移入もしてなくて、そんなにちゃんと見てない上に原作未プレイならご都合主義って切り捨ててしまうのも仕方ない。好きな人からみたら何やこいつってなるけど

ちなみアニメではみんなで集まった時にことみが長々と話すパラレルワールドの話も伏線になってる。

アニメだけ見ると夢オチと捉えるのが釈然とするかも知れないけど、本当はもっと深い理由があるらしい
原作のゲームでは、各シナリオがパラレルワールドだったのを、アニメで時間軸を１本にまとめたから夢オチの様にまとめたと感じると思います…。ゲームはアフターストーリーに入ってからも最短(あってる？)3周しないといけないし…、何なら22話の｢さよなら○○｣から1期のすべてが始まる日の1話から見直し、2期の出産の所まで見てから続きを見るのが原作に沿った見方かもしれません。真面目にコメントすみません
