    Hi, I'm a bassist who loves Royal Blood. When I saw this video come onto my recommended I instantly clicked on it, seeing this made me start a project on replicating your pedal board. I think you should, if you have the time, create a diagram of the board and the wires so I can recreate this amazing board with more ease. Thank you, Henry

    wonderful job mate! so do you think Mike has rack effects and easier foot controls? I watched the 360 live show and though he does a lot of foot work, stomp boxes seem too complex for stage playing..?

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  7 лет назад +6

      Thank you ! He doesn't use racks but now he have a MIDI controller (voodoo lab ground control), to control his effects, also you can see his old pedalboard with the 2 POG2, Fuzz, etc... controlled by MIDI behind his amps on the 360 live

    Great work, sounds great. My question is can you replicate the sound just using a bass amp and pedals, or do you need both guitar and bass amp?

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  6 лет назад

      You need both amps, the minimal config is a bass amp, a guitar amp, a signal splitter and an octaver (POG or tender octaver, not an other)

    Salut ! Déjà beau boulot. Ton matos est bien recherché et en plus tu te débrouilles super bien pour les morceaux. J'aurais deux questions: quelle basse utilise-tu ? Et enfin, le fait d'utiliser une basse n'endommage-t-il pas l'empli guitare ? Merci d'avance et let's rock'n'roll !!

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  7 лет назад +1

      Merci beaucoup ! Ma basse est une Aria Pro AVB-40, et l'ampli guitare ne craint rien, sauf si tu pousses le volume au max, c'est juste pas recommandé car les basses fréquences d'une basse ne rendent pas bien dans un ampli guitare, mais avec un octaver ça se rapproche plus d'une guitare

  • @keithbluess

    Ça sonne clairement bien. Félicitations, c'est impressionnant. Juste une petite question débile mais qui me taraude depuis un moment : comment fais tu pour les fréquences basses au niveau de l'ampli guitare ? Car c'est juste impressionnant le nombre de gens qui scandent sans cesse de ne surtout pas brancher une basse dans un ampli guitare, que niveau hp ça va pas le faire à moyen terme etc etc ... Merci par avance pour ta réponse. Tchuss !

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  4 года назад

      Il n'y a aucun risque pour l'ampli guitare, surtout que la plupart du temps on utilise jamais les ampli à fond, volume et gain au max, donc les HP sont faits pour encaisser bien plus que ce qu'on les utilise en général. Ce n'est pas une question de fréquences non plus, on utilise bien des octavers sur les guitares ou des guitares 7-8-9 cordes, et dans le cas de royal blood avec le +1 octave on est plus proche des fréquences d'une guitare. Le seul risque est d'avoir un son pourri

  • @lucasramzeyer3698
    @lucasramzeyer3698 7 лет назад +1

    Super vidéo ! Juste, quelle est la marque de ton pedalboard ? C'est un fait maison ? Le mien n'a plus de place... Pour tes octaveurs, tu utilises du +2 avec une distorsion ? Ca sonne bien ? Merci pour tes réponses et tes vidéos ! :)

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  7 лет назад

      Merci ! Le pedalboard est un Diago Tourman, pour les octaveurs j'utilise le Mooer pour +1 oct qui sonne super bien, et de temps en temps la Whammy pour passer à +2 mais qui a tendance à décrocher, et pour la disto principalement la Big Muff

I watched the other one and have been using a similar computer setup as you and trying to recreate in Bias FX/Bias Pedal. It's close. I am waiting for a sale on a Rumble 40 as I have a USA Peavey bandit 112 from the 90s for guitar and then im gonna try the split cable. Did you make that yourself or get it from Thomann/Amazon?
    Thanks again!

      You can't make pitch effects with the Molten, for pitch effects you can use Boss PS-6 or Digitech Whammy Ricochet, and for songs like Map Of The Problematique or Unsustainable you can use the Smirnov WhammyD2. Digitech footswitch haven't MIDI, so you can't control the Whammy

    I'm not nocking anyone but isn't it a bit strange to completely want to replicate someone's rig ? Surely better to take aspects of it that you like and make your own sound ? • @loickjouaud9557

      I didn't want to replicate someone's rig (also I built my rig before knowing Royal Blood), I built it in order to be the most complete and versatile, to have a lot of different sounds, also inspired by Matthew Bellamy, Tom Morello and John Frusciante rigs, then I slightly adapted it to play Royal Blood ;)

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  6 лет назад +1

      The wicker switch gives a boost on high frequencies and gain, and the tone switch just bypass the tone control, for more volume and dry fuzz, but not a major difference on the sound, and if you put the wicker off and the tone on you have a sandard big muff

    Hey Loïck Jouaud! Is the mooer pure octaver doing the same job as the mooer tender octaver?

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  7 лет назад +1

      I didn't test it but I think, you can't adjust the volume of each octave independently, but also you have +2 oct with the pure octaver

    Bien vu mais beaucoup de souffle... Je pense que l'essentiel est de trouver la technique que Mike utitlise, y ajouter une bonne disto mais pas besoin de temps de pédales! (A mon avis)
    Mais beau travail en tout cas🙂

    Is there any known MIDI controller on the market that, along with the Whammy, produces the same effects used by Mike or is it really necessary to build one?

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  6 лет назад

      Mike uses boss PS6 to make that pitch, but also no there are no MIDI controller who make that to my knowledge

    Salut super t'es covers !! J'ai la meme whammy que toi pour avoir le son de gratte mais j'ai pas un jolie son quand je laisse sonner la corde a vide de ma basse dans l'ampli gratte , je comprends pas .

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  4 года назад +1

      Il faut utiliser le tender octaver ou un EHX POG pour le son de guitare, j'utilise la Whammy juste pour les effets de pitch progressifs

    Did you go up and down an octave?
    Tell me please thank you

    I play the guitar, never tried bass but i do play lead and rhythm. so questions...
    can I do this with a guitar and not a bass creating the same sounds? also would it still be hooked up the same way with the 2 different amps? in other words can i hook my electric guitar up the same exact way u have done with the bass? also u have a bunch of other peddles that im sure are used for other sounds and songs. How much would the most basic set up cost me, if i only needed the 3 peddles u r using how much do u think i would spend on them.. USDollers. absolute minuman. i also need anps. im guessing i will end up paying almost a grand for this set up minum $500 usd if i can find the same peddles used. i have only ever owned one peddle and it was a loop machine but i did a lot with it. it was lost during a move. so i have been using just my acoustic to jam and cant wait ro get some equipment like your set up man. thanks for sharing this knowledge.

    La vache, t'as vraiment du temps, et de la réflexion pour t'organiser ton pedalboard. Et pas mal de sous, aussi. Je rêve d'avoir un POG, ne serait-ce que ça

      Ce sont plusieurs années de recherches a regarder des démos sur internet et tester des effets, et pour l'argent j'ai trouvé des jobs pour me payer tout ça

    • @alteredbrain

      Ah mais je ne juge pas, même si je suis certes un peu envieux. Mais je comprends cette démarche. Pour me payer tout mon matériel, quand j'étais encore scolarisé, il m'a fallu travailler en saisonnier, pour réinjecter les gains dans du matos bien adapté.
      Pour avoir moi-même des produits de Digitech ou de EHX, je connais l'ordre de prix de ce (très cool) pedalboard.
      J'aurais néanmoins une question : pourquoi tu n'as pas investi dans un Nano POG, à la place du Mooer ? J'avais cru comprendre que le Tender Octaver avait tendance à perdre un peu le tracking, quand le POG (quel qu'il soit) ne se perdait jamais.

    • @loickjouaud9557
      @loickjouaud9557  7 лет назад

      Pas de soucis, dans les vidéos de comparaison entre le Mooer et le POG je n'ai entendu quasiment aucune différence, et vu qu'il est 3 fois moins cher qu'un POG et que l'utilise uniquement pour jouer du Royal Blood j'ai préféré prendre le Mooer
