Amazing. Not only was your sound incredible and very spot on, your chain was laid out very well and showing your preset combinations was awesome to see. Hats off man.
This makes me want to buy a bass and every pedal you have here but my wallet won't be happy... you're great dude! I was at a royal blood concert two months ago and I didn't notice he used all this stuff to get the sound!!

I think you should, if you have the time, create a diagram of the board and the wires so I can recreate this amazing board with more ease. Thank you, Henry
wonderful job mate! so do you think Mike has rack effects and easier foot controls? I watched the 360 live show and though he does a lot of foot work, stomp boxes seem too complex for stage playing..?
Thank you ! He doesn't use racks but now he have a MIDI controller (voodoo lab ground control), to control his effects, also you can see his old pedalboard with the 2 POG2, Fuzz, etc... controlled by MIDI behind his amps on the 360 live
C'est magnifique. Excuse my rookie knowledge on French, but this is the best video I've ever seen. Even more, I want to buy my own bass with all the pedals to have the sound and play my favorite song from them... Lights Out! Merci :3 Greetings from Costa Rica.
Hey there, absolutely love your tone but there is one thing I’m confused about - what does the whammy pedal pedal do in preset 2 and 3 and is it needed for the royal blood tone?
Great video - love the sounds. Quick question, are you putting the Octave up and whammy before or after the fuzz/distortion pedal? My whammy 4 doesn't track bass well without being after the octave up via my POG 2!!
Nice stuff man. Is a +2octave needed to cover the solos in a default 4 strings bass? I wanted to get the micro pog but since it only has +1octave I was considering the bass whammy instead.
Salut !
Thanks for the information man !!! I was just wondering: how do you switch amps on the gec9? I understand you have 2 amps connected, a bass and guitar amp. But I dont understand how you switch or cancel out the bass amp on the gec9. Cheers!
Dude. So Fucking Amazing for you to share with us tube viewin' tone seekers. You wrecked this shit. Fucking amazing. Thank you. I watched the other one and have been using a similar computer setup as you and trying to recreate in Bias FX/Bias Pedal. It's close. I am waiting for a sale on a Rumble 40 as I have a USA Peavey bandit 112 from the 90s for guitar and then im gonna try the split cable. Did you make that yourself or get it from Thomann/Amazon? Thanks again! (Also see people Ableton Live 9 isn't just for EDM/Dance music, Ive now seen 4 guitarists mention lately they use it too. Its pretty great for latency if you ever tried to do compilcated stuff in logic and get lagged out try Ableton)

Is it better to use the Y cable or use the ABY splitter box. You are doing this so you can cut out the bass amp and just do the guitar amp right? I have the same gear and want to do the same setup
Do you use this pedal board (and all those presets) for all the royal blood songs you have covered? And what are the things in your pedal board would you need to play the two royal blood albums?
I used this one for the first album, I changed some things for the second album, more presets, now I use my Wampler Triple Wreck for louder sound, add my tremolo and an auto wah... You can found schematics at the end of all covers

Would the molten midi 5 for whammy be good alternative to your homemade midi for whammy? Also do you know any already made midi controller for whammy you can buy which is a good alternative to yours? Can you use a Digitech footswitch instead of a midi for the whammy? Thanks
You can't make pitch effects with the Molten, for pitch effects you can use Boss PS-6 or Digitech Whammy Ricochet, and for songs like Map Of The Problematique or Unsustainable you can use the Smirnov WhammyD2. Digitech footswitch haven't MIDI, so you can't control the Whammy
hey man, if you use only the whammy + drive/fuzz, will you get the sound of royal blood? i dont get it why you use the tender + whammy, im really curious!
I always use the tender octaver for the +1oct sound because it sounds much better than the whammy, and I use the whammy only for pitch effects or when I need +2oct
I'm not nocking anyone but isn't it a bit strange to completely want to replicate someone's rig ? Surely better to take aspects of it that you like and make your own sound ? I might be way off but just a thought...anyway I love a good bit of pedal geeking so no disrespect intended !! Looks like you have done a great job!
I didn't want to replicate someone's rig (also I built my rig before knowing Royal Blood), I built it in order to be the most complete and versatile, to have a lot of different sounds, also inspired by Matthew Bellamy, Tom Morello and John Frusciante rigs, then I slightly adapted it to play Royal Blood ;)
The wicker switch gives a boost on high frequencies and gain, and the tone switch just bypass the tone control, for more volume and dry fuzz, but not a major difference on the sound, and if you put the wicker off and the tone on you have a sandard big muff
Loïck Jouaud I really admire that you answered to all my questions. Ty so much, really, thanks. Hope you grow even more and find a drummer for complete covers! Also you could sing. :)))

You by far was the most successful into the 'sound like Royal Blood' mission. Congratulations from a fellow (not so good) bassist
Thank you very much man !
Amazing. Not only was your sound incredible and very spot on, your chain was laid out very well and showing your preset combinations was awesome to see. Hats off man.

Thanks a lot ! Save money ;) He hides a lot of gear behind his amps
I think this a perfect opportunity for a Multi-Effect on Bass to save you a lot of money(of course only if you want:)

I think you should, if you have the time, create a diagram of the board and the wires so I can recreate this amazing board with more ease. Thank you, Henry
Hi, thank you for your comment ! I made a diagram that is at the end of my covers, look at the end of my Figure It Out cover for example

Are you still using the same presets and pedals for the new album? It looks like quite a bit of his sound changed
I changed few things, maybe I'll make a video about that, btw you can find my config for each song at the end of each video
Your setup is my wet dream
Super knowledgeable setup and the details!!!!
Amazing! I'd put a noise-gate on that but this just sounds GREAT! Spot on with Mikes sound!1
Hey there, absolutely love your tone but there is one thing I’m confused about - what does the whammy pedal pedal do in preset 2 and 3 and is it needed for the royal blood tone?
was asking myself the same thing
Muy bien explicado, las tocas iguales, enhorabuena.
is this a pedaltrain terra 42 or nova 32? keep up the kill work love your vids and all the royal blood covers.
Thanks ! It's a Diago Tourman PB04
Hey man nice sound! How much did it Cost you in Total?
Great work, sounds great. My question is can you replicate the sound just using a bass amp and pedals, or do you need both guitar and bass amp?
You need both amps, the minimal config is a bass amp, a guitar amp, a signal splitter and an octaver (POG or tender octaver, not an other)
Thats really fucking cool! What was the total cost of that pedal setup out of interest?
Thank you for spending time on this. Merci beaucoup.
Great video - love the sounds. Quick question, are you putting the Octave up and whammy before or after the fuzz/distortion pedal? My whammy 4 doesn't track bass well without being after the octave up via my POG 2!!
Thank you ! First Whammy, Tender octaver, then fuzz and guitar amp
Thanks for the subtitles man, so helpful
Holy shit that was truly amazing!
Thanks a lot !
if i want to sound like RB, basically I have to buy the whole shop
Wrong Name you can do it with just the Octaver, a kill switch for the bass (tuner or some pedal with volume on 0) and a way to split the signal
What do you think of the new album? I absolutely LOVE it! Great video
Perfect, like the first album ! Thank you !
Nice stuff man.
Is a +2octave needed to cover the solos in a default 4 strings bass?
I wanted to get the micro pog but since it only has +1octave I was considering the bass whammy instead.

That effect is sick!
Which pick do you use? Also insanely great video Loïck!

Will a molten midi 5 still give that Royal blood sound?
Do you have to keep all the loops the same from part 1 or nah?
