My little brother died a few months ago and he never will get to grow old. Growing old is a privilege not many people get to reach. I'm trying to embrace my transition " I'm 45 " We need to make growing old acceptable. 😊
Aging doesn’t suck! It’s normal, it’s a gift! Getting cancer sucks! Being in a major car accident sucks! Ageing is an opportunity to stop focusing on the wrapping and concentrate on the contents. When we are all on our death beds I can guarantee we will not be thinking, “ I wish I had lazer, or Botox or a facelift” We’ll be thinking about what our life meant, who loved us and who we loved. 🤷♀️
The WORST gift ever!!! How do you know what somoene elses experience is? Its actually very insensitive to brand one thing OK to be depressed about and another as 'too superficial.' Why is it OK for a woman to be depressed about losing her hair or breasts to cancer but not her face to ageing? Just because the one doesnt happen to everyone and makes them stand out more in a crowd isnt a criteria for why its OK to feel bad about one and not the other. They are both 'superficial.' Attitudes like this just shame women into silence and show a lack of understanding of the truth about the HUGE emotional distress and damage to mental health that ageing causes. Just saying something is wonderful doesnt make it so, thats just gaslighting. Attitudes like this just perpetuate the stigma and shame and mean that women dont get support which just makes it even worse. You are encouraged to speak up if youre depressed but of you dare admit youre depressed about aging then you just get judged. Many women in their 50's are suicidal so they CLEARLY dont think its a gift
If its so wonderful then why is the suicide rate highest among middle aged women? (And prob the only reason it falls again for older ages is because the unhappiest have ended their lives leaving only the happy ones to report into the now biased sample.)
Looking through your gallery, it is a bit difficult to truly judge the improvements because every before is bare faced and every after is with a full face of makeup. If you're doing great work, you should display it without the deception.
It's more for full effect, but the women aren't caked with makeup, nor will makeup lift your face to the degree of a facelift. The first woman, the 86 year old is a great example of before and after, as she's wearing barely any makeup.
yes, I agree, and I think every single person that looks at pictures like this thinks the same. there really should be zero makeup on both before and after, it doesn't matter if it's caked on or not. maybe some eyebrow should be all
I don’t look upon the before pics (without makeup) vs. the afters (with makeup) as a “deception,” however I agree that it would be most helpful to see and evaluate the results more fully by using an “apples to apples” side-by-side comparison. It’s very hard for me to get the true gravity of each change with entirely differing basis.
I think she looks great at 58. There’s something beautiful about her face, her confidence and her overall look. It seems she’s better off aging naturally than bizarrely like some.
Please do a video on the safety of facelifts. Many people don't have surgery because they are afraid to have an unfortunate event occur as a result of vanity. I would appreciate some statistics on surgery success, complications, and what health conditions may make surgery more risky etc.
For many, the ONLY thing holding them back is MONEY!! Not everyone can afford a 100k facelift, myself included. I don’t know if he is teaching his techniques to other surgeons who might charge less? I wish I could find one because I would do it tomorrow!
Agree with this. I'm in my 20s and I'm already getting anxiety over not being able to afford a face lift. Even other age defying treatments. They're so over priced it's so unfair. Yesterday I spent 300 dollars on a facial. The first one I ever had in my life and I won't be able to afford another one for another year. It sucks I wish they would lower the costs and have more Dr's who could do the lifts
@@KJ-zt9ikJust enjoy your youthful 20’s self. You’re wasting this precious time when you should be relishing in it. Also, work on your character which is much more important that cosmetic surgery in the long run.
No way. You look beautiful. Don't buy into this bullshit. We age and only have to look at our husbands to realise we actually look good. I wonder if he looks at his wife and critiises her. I'm only assuming he has a wife.
Don’t be held back because you can’t afford $100 for a Facelift which is ridiculous! Be aware most younger surgeons go vertical with fat transfer but can’t say “Vertical Restore because this guy has a trademark. This guy has a giant ego. Gary Motykie in Beverly Hills is great has a video where he says”there’s no reason to ridiculous amount for a facelift. I paid $35,000 for a neck, face temple lift with Dr. Kevin Sadati in Newport Beach, couldn’t be happier! He did a great job.
One thing that I've heard from multiple friends who work in the entertainment industry is that everyone is using the actor's strike as a window to get their plastic surgery done. They all put in their "face" time on the picket line and then drove straight to the doctor to get their new face. They're all planning to heal in their homes while no filming or press work is going on and they're all gonna show up at award shows in a few months looking very "well rested." Not relevant, but I just thought it was funny.
I had a facelift at 61. My surgeon used a technique similar to yours. It made a huge difference. I like the way my cheek bones look now. There is nothing wrong with having a facelift and I told people. I feel that some people were kind of shocked that I would do something like this, but I don't know. There is this "old" thing about regular people who have facelifts that they are vain.
Let people think what they like - you did something that has bought you joy. I see a facelift as just trying to get your face back - the face you've got used to all these years. It's not like having a nose job where you totally change the shape - you're just getting back something you lost.
Yes.I had one last year and aside from the 2 friends that had to take me there and bring me back,I didn’t tell anyone. And the masks we were using then helped hide the swelling when I had to get out.
Good for you. I don't think it makes you vain. Everyone dyes their hair, wears makeup, whitens their teeth, dresses to hide and accentuate... etc etc...
I love the way Dr K makes his patients look refreshed and not altered. There’s a big difference between the two. I too would consider a facelift if I had the extra cash. Regardless, he does beautiful work.
@@trawlins396 His facelifts are awesome. Refreshed is always the way it was supposed to be and then I don't know how or why the "plastic era' came along. So many celebrities look awful when they have a ton of money and I just don't get why they're using terrible doctors.
@dramirkaram Hello Dr Amir,I was just wondering if you have had a vertical lift ? Your skin looks so lovely, plump and youthful .!!! I was also wondering if it is safe to have a facelift if you have an autoimmune disease ? Thankyou for all your wonderful informative videos dr amir 😊
I have to respectfully disagree that "aging sucks." It's an honor and privilege to age and, yes, even to watch my face develop more lines from a life well-lived. A smile is free and I've NEVER seen anyone look ugly or bad when they smile. A smile is all one needs to look beautiful. All of that said, might I ever consider any cosmetic surgery? Maybe? But aging? Wrinkles? Sagging skin? Badges of honor and grace, in my view. So many friends and family younger than me (I'm in my late 50s) have died in recent years, I'm truly happy and grateful to still be here and be fairly healthy. We all need to stop looking in the mirror so much, look at each other and be present with each other instead.
I love getting older. I’m at peace with aging. I’m in awe of how time affects my mind and body. I didn’t think I’d live this long so every day is like a gift I get to open. I express gratitude, drink a lot of water, find peace in the mundane, wear sunscreen, connect my mind and body, and I know that nothing is permanent. That’s my aging plan, bring it on gravity.
For real, he's just a hustler, insecure women is his bread n butter. Do you think he encourages his daughters to have plastic surgery? I would hope not. Not many people get to reach old age, be proud that you made it.
Agreed. And case in point, I thikn SJP still looks very attractive. In some ways I think her looks suit her better now. I wish the attitude was.... if you are happy with your looks super... but if you want to make a change here is how to do it the right way.
@@Thebellreve ....there are girls who died from cancers (or whatever) at 3 years old (or 12 or 17 or 34) without having the FULL experience of life.....Beauty is a VAIN thing. Do you really believe at death you're thinking about you'll look in your casket?! If you think your life revolves around your face, you are missing out on life♥️
44 seems insanely young for a facelift. I looked like a baby in my early 40s! This pushing of plastic surgery at younger & younger ages is really toxic.
No, it's not insanely young. I, too, looked very young in my early, even mid-40s (a complete shift from my youth when I looked older), but few people do naturally. Mid 40s would be a great time for many.
Lift in your mid 40s can turn back time significantly and make you look like young girl again. (and you still can have it at 38 but at 45 not as much). So in a way it's kind of worth it to prolong that best look of your life. However, I would only do it if I have access to a top Hollywood star doc. Since I don't I rather wait till I'm 50+. I think my own face will serve me better till 50 than any surgery than less than excellent lift.
I’m not judging anyone. But SJP is a work of art. She’s gorgeous, as she is, right now. She was gorgeous years ago, she is gorgeous now. Different? Yes. That’s ok. She’s a work of art nonetheless. I would be sad if she altered herself.
Agreed. She has always been a bit of a role model in this regard… never succumbed to the vanity pressures of the industry. I guarantee she was under pressure to get a nose job at some point… good for her that she never did! Natural, individual beauty!
I think if Jessica went to Dr. Karan she would be incredibly happy with the results. She wouldn't look "fake". She certainly has the money to do it! However, I'm not judging her whether she gets a face lift or not, it's her own personal choice. She'll still be attractive either way.
I don't think Sarah meant it in the way that everybody would know she had surgery. She said specifically that if she did it now, she would look like a completely different human being. Which could throw off a lot of people including herself, and could affect her career as well. You cannot unsee what you already saw. When someone ages and then suddenly gets a face lift, it will feel unnatural and weird. I totally understand her point. When done earlier, the effects could be more subtle and preventative.
She's not telling THE reason she hasn't had a facelift -- because of her chain-smoking. Almost all heavy smokers are warned they aren't good candidates because smoking damages the delicate blood vessels that are essential to recovery after the procedure. And the irony is that it's the smoking that makes her look 10 years older than her age, if not older.
@@sew_gal7340 The shows indeed sad, sad. Facelift or not isn't about being beautiful. It's about sagging skin and tissue. Not more, not less. Just like braces are about straight teeth, dyeing your greys is about colored hair, etc... People have varying degrees of what they are willing to do. Doesn't mean they are or feel less beautiful. Or they signal to others they must be ugly for not doing it too. Getting a facelift isn't about making a statement. It's getting some tissue lifted and skin removed. Because you want to. For yourself.
One more potential interpretation: the window could be specific to career opportunities for women in the entertainment industry. If you get a lift while you're still relatively young-looking, you extend the "sweet spot" of your career by delaying the point when you start to feel the blow of Hollywood's brand of gendered ageism.
It’s interesting you mention thst . During the pandemic I let my gray hair grow out . I’ve had them since young . I am Now 46 . I have always looked younger than my actual age . I was send an audition . The casting office I had known since young . They as soon as they saw my hair all gray they send me a new Auditon for a grandma role . I knew I wasn’t getting it my face doesn’t match my hair for a grandma (they type they were looking for) I knew I wasn’t getting this part . I did it out of courtesy . Guess what they didn’t choose me 😂. Perception in this business is tough . Yes , A-list Hollywood actress have a lot of pressure to look young for sure . My part was small role I can only imagine what this ladies feel like . Hollywood is tough on women
I’m 59 and have no desire for a face lift. I use Tretinoin, good skincare products and have a facial once a month. I also wear sunscreen everyday. I might one day consider addressing the skin on my neck though!
I’m 55 and VERY thankful for my my family’s youthful genes. I know several of my friends who have had a facelift. They have not fared very well. It’s unfortunate for them. I truly believe that aging is a privilege and something we should encourage each other to embrace. We are all beautiful in our own way. Uniquely made.
Why didn’t they fare well? I’m 36, and thinking about the future. Would love to hear both sides cuz idk anyone who’s had one that will say they have anyways
I am only a week out at 63. 15 years ago, my under eye bags were horrible. So I began thinking bleparoplasty. At 61, I had endomeyrial canceand all femaleorgans were removed. 18 months lather, i looked more than 10 years older and hated it. Aging badly is Not a gift. Cancer stole the decent genes and I am now recouping myself via a doctor I looked for over years of research. Bottom line, I will age gracefully my way. If I choose to use surgery instead of despising every day and wasting thousands on skinceuticals, fillers and botox. My perogotive. How people choose to live their life is nunya.
@@cynthiavanderkooi931 So true-the positives that people are always banging on about (and I cant see any myself) are insignificant compared to the huge mountain of sh*tty things that aging does. People act as if getting a free bus pass will undo all the depression you get when looking at a sagging face. I think the pro ageing movement is taking our society's love of denial and gaslighting to new heights of insanity
@cynthiavanderkooi931 people who go on about what a gift it is and so on are often the ones who are lucky enough to age well. Different if you end up with rapid changes through weight loss, illness, huge hormonal changes etc. That's no fun at all. Glad we have surgery as an option if it's what's going to make us feel more like ourselves again
I think there's one more thing, and that's worry that you will have a bad end result, and not know what if anything you can do about it. There are a lot of celebrities who have had bad work done. If she worked with Dr. Karam she would have no worry and she can afford him.
I believe . . . the reason most women don't get plastic surgery is THE PRICE. When you factor in how long it takes the surgeon to do it, most believe it's an over-priced, "luxury" item and beyond most people's budget.
Being poor is better for people in the long run - skin care is far more important than the shape of your face - that can be improved much cheaper if you have great skin. Western women tend to be impatient and have poor skin care routines. My western peers had zero interest in skin care unless they had acne when they were young and then focussed on skin care when they had wrinkles. Plastic surgery cannot improve poor wrinke lose skin all iit can do is pull it. You will skill look old but with a tight face. The western philosphy of wanting someone else to fix the problem is why celebs get so much surgery. It cost nothing to buy moisturiser and use active ingredients like retinot and vitamin C. Stay out of the sun and use a sun block. you dont need cheaper surgery - you need to be responsible for your skin daily and that includes a good diet
For me, and just for me, in my 70s, I've never looked in the mirror and thought my face was so repulsive that I needed to chop it up. For me, having a scalpel slice me open without a serious medical reason, having my face bleed and swell when it's done nothing to deserve that -- but simply represented me my whole life -- makes no sense. For others, obviously, it does and I wish them well.
@@MsMrReason Yeah but when the muscles sag it can look horrible-I have no wrinkles and great skin but horrible sagging which only surgery or some sort of muscle tightening treatment can fix. I actually massage with magnesium oil which gives an amazing lift because it relaxes the muscles which paradoxically lifts them
@@livbyron4150 I love your attitude-you get that for you its not something you want, but that its important for others to get some tweaks because their ageing appearance upsets them. I wish more people would be so balanced and understanding
It's unfortunate that so many people focus on FACIAL aging instead of maintaining PHYSICAL youthfulness. If one took care of one's body while growing older, meaning eating healthfully, staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, fresh air and moderate levels of exercise, his or her FACE would NATURALLY look younger. The sheer stress of WORRYING about something that is both NATURAL and INEVITABLE is aging in itself!
I honestly think SJP looks beautiful. As a woman in my late 20s, I really want to see more examples of female celebrities aging naturally and gracefully. It is so refreshing in a woman bucking the trend of major cosmetic surgery... there's something deeply humanizing about it, being about to see the real person rather than a tweaked and manufactured version of themselves. I think part of the issue is that we've collectively developed an incredibly narrow concept of what female beauty should look like (that is, to be beautiful is to be young). Where's the recognition of beauty and warmth in an older face? Both of my immigrant grandmothers were beautiful to me because of everything they embodied - love, kindness, sacrifice, experience. So sad that looks are prioritized over the qualities that we'll ACTUALLY be remembered for once we're gone.
Me too! I have a lot of respect for the few actors bucking the trend. They certainly are much more effective acting with a normal face the moves and shows expression like real humans.
Society do paint this picture of how women should look but at the end of the day, it’s your decision. I don’t think SJP looks good for her age, it’s not a judgment. We all age differently. But I think she’s a confident person who don’t feel the need to change her appearance to fit in. I admire that and want to do the same.
@@periscope7731 I don’t think anyone facing any pressure. It’s women who is doing that to ourselves. Whoever freezing their face in time is the one who can’t accept themselves as they are. No judging here. Look at JSP, she doesn’t feel the need to that and good for her. She’s one of a few famous ladies who doesn’t do it but I know many women who are comfortable in their own skin. Do whatever make you happy but let’s not blame society for the decision you made. It’s your choice at the end of the day.
Yes but were psychologically wired to find beauty attractive-some women age beautifully naturally but many dont-its a false assumption to think that just because one woman looks good without having anything done, that another woman would have looked as good without intervention. Its a perfectly human reaction to dislike seeing a sagging face that was once beautiful. It really does have a devastating affect on confidence and self esteem because at the end of the day, aging IS a destructive, debilitating disease that slowly destroys the body. But because its difficult/expensive to fix, we have to somehow pretend that its wonderful but who are we kidding really?!
@@superfreakmusic7681 no one in the right mind would think everyone should age the same and look the same, good or bad. Aging doesn’t mean body being destroyed lol. Many people in much better shape physically in the golden years compare to their younger self. And no, not everyone is pretending it’s wonderful to age because there’s nothing we can do about it. They just happy being older as there are many things are much better at old age. You are definitely a younger person to have this observation.
Women are beautiful whatever the age and do not need facelifts - it is a luxury not many can afford and we should normalise accepting and acknowledging the beauty of a natural face over facelifts
We should also normalize not judging women who choose surgery or save up to have...I have never owned a new car and won't ever...that doesn't matter to me...I am super frugal, but saved had surgery on 7/7 and couldn't be happier...Just as I would never say a woman who chooses to have nothing done is "ugly", etc or made a poor decision as women we need to stick together and not suggest that women "don't need facelifts"...women can choose that option if they want and they need not be shamed or thought less of for that, no more than women who don't do anything should be shamed or thought less of...
Like when Renee zellweger got a lot of work done, and even Jennifer Gray when she was much younger got a nose job everyone had something to say about it in fact for Jennifer it almost completely derailed her career because she didn't look like she did when she was 16
@@atomic66It's not that Jennifer Grey just looked like a completely different actress. Her nose was unique to her so without it she didn't look like her.
My horrid, sagging face caused me no end of distress. I hated every minute of my life, hated all the things I used to love like parties, nights out, holidays-they were excruciatingly painful and going to the office was extremely stressful. I know people want to bury their head in the sand and pretend that looks don’t matter for how we feel about ourselves but the reality is that its simply not true. Only a small minority are OK with getting and looking old. Im thankful that there are providers like Dr Karam who really understand just how much aging can affect people psychologically and give propel REAL solutions that actually make them feel better rather than palming them off with some empty platitudes about ageing gracefully and just learning to love yourself as you are.
Having a trademark does not mean what it sounds like. Many other surgeons also use a vertical facelift technique. Medical procedures cannot be patented. Having a trademark refers only to the branded name “vertical restore.” Of course every surgeon will have their own nuanced approach and technical skills will vary widely among surgeons.
But how do I go about finding a surgeon who uses the vertical technique? I would love to have a facelift but was quoted $100k for his vertical restoration with fat transfer. Unfortunately that’s out of my budget
Yes they can. The Vertical Restore is the name of his facelift he has a trademark on the NAME. No other surgeons can name their facelift The Vertical Restore. Has absolutely nothing to do with the technique. My surgeon went vertical when he did my facelift.
@@nicolaxoxo1 you’re going to have to ask them about that during the consultation. My surgeon has videos of him actually doing his surgeries. If you squint like I did you might make it through watching one😎
@@lisaaustin4561 yes that is exactly what I was talking about. The vertical restore is only a branded name and it does not mean the technique was developed by or is exclusive to this surgeon. And tbh who cares about the brand name? I care more about the quality of the surgery.
You can have great skin with almost no budget - however it wont give you great features or great face shape. I have met 100s of celebs and they generally have poor skin but they have nice features , face shape and are well put together - make up hair clothes. To be honest they just waste their own money on all these proceedures as they just look tight and old. Ordinary people have better skin than celebs as we just dont have the money and time to wreck our skin to the extent of celebs. What they have is glamour which does cost and is expensve.
This video was an amazing discussion and very informative. Absolutely love esthetics, youthfulness and anti-aging. I’ve been conservative in my 20’s to still be able to feel like I’m 26-28 at 35. It would be my dream to have you do my facelift in a decade 🙌🏻🏆
Thank you so much! I am so glad you find it informative. Sounds like you are on the right track and I am happy to help younger men and women approach aging the right way.
The wonderful work that you do Dr. Karam makes no time too late. This has been a very educational and informative video and I love watching your videos and learning. Thank you so much Dr. Karam.
Yeah I’m 45 and just noticed the first little lines and such. No way am I having surgery to look younger. The heck with that. I’ve only just recently noticed less “looks” from men and LOVE it! @@barbarahopper3813 I agree if you mean finding “beauty” or happiness in life, joy. I do not agree that searching for or striving for conventional beauty is healthy though. It is external whereas true beauty comes from and is only the internal.

You are right, happiness comes from contentment with yourself, not judgement of others.
I don’t think any woman thinks it’s technically logistically and physically too late for a facelift. Women think of beauty and very complex ways… I really feel that she meant that when you have a facelift in your mid40s, it’s as if you never have to go through that aging process that she just spent the last 15 years experiencing. Now, if she has a lift, she’s going to be having a more obvious procedure. Not only that, but I think she feels a bit of regret that she didn’t enjoy the benefits of having had it these last 15 years. Oh, that’s funny. I commented that literally just before the part in the video where he says the same thing, LOL
Clearly you're a very qualified plastic surgeon, your before and after photos are amazing. I was impressed with Martha Stewart's facelift, she looks great yet still looks like herself. At this point in my life (I'm 76) I'm not even considering any kind of facelift or filler. Happily, no one believes me when I tell them my age. It's clear I look much younger than my true age, something true for many people in my family (good genes). Your subject matter is great giving an understanding of procedures. Thank you.
I'm the same age as Sarah and I don't feel like I need a facelift. Maybe some tweaks but I don't want filler. I'm just taking my time deciding on alternatives and have not had one thing done to my face yet. I know I can never look 30 again and I'm ok with it. I'm certainly not doing anything until I find someone like Dr. Karam. Unfortunately, I'm in NY and I won't ever take a plane. If women would just stop baking in the sun... I don't care about being pale and people are always surprised when they find out my age. Maybe it's also genetics but I'm a non-smoker as well. I do beg to differ when Dr. K says that he can guarantee that anyone in their 50's who doesn't have sagging has had work done. I've had nothing done and if you zoom in on my photo which was taken a week ago, I'm not sagging. Not by much anyway. Just take care of your skin and you don't have to buy outrageously expensive creams either.. I started using Lubriderm as a teenager and it's a drugstore moisturizer. Also, get your sleep and avoid alcohol.
Meryl Streep said she is against procedures because she doesn’t want to losing her facial expressions. Her facial expressions are very important for craft.
Interesting and great insight grom Dr. K. However, I'd love to know this - if you have a face lift at the very young age of 40ish for how long could you anticipate the face looking great after 20, or 30 years of continued aging. Or, is it really expected that a second or more face-lift would be required as the aging process encroached on the first investment. My plastic surgeon always advised me to take good care of my skin but look to the 60s before considering a face-lift. Love to know why this has changed over the years.
For me, the hysterectomy aged my skin quite rapidly. I could not get the hormonal patch, but I know it works regarding helping you with aging. Best to you.
She has good facial architecture, good bone structure-- high nose, high cheekbones, jawline, chin. She looks fine as is, but a re-draping of skin over this foundation would look good too.
My 23 year old son died a month ago He’ll never get old Growing old is a privilege And I’m not against a good facelift if you want it But do embrace your age and life
She doesn’t look like she needs a face lift to me. Her skin actually looks pretty decent for a white woman in her late 50s. I say white woman because white women typically age faster than men and people with melanin.
@@BigFacts798 That's a myth. Their skin tends to be thinner, yes, which leads to fine lines and wrinkles sooner. But fine lines and wrinkles are not what really ages us. It's sag and volume loss. I know white women with fine lines and wrinkles who are either young and look young, or are older (40ish) and still get carded. Because they have no sag or volume loss. I can also tell when a non-white woman is older despite the lack of wrinkles, because she has droopy cheeks.
@@dammar117 it’s literally not a myth as there are tons of scientific studies that prove that black people tend to show signs of aging at least 10 years later than white people. Furthermore, when black people do begin to show signs of aging, the facial changes begin around their eyes and they lose lip volume and develop jowls. I can go on and on but this info is widely available on Google so ✌🏾
Sarah Jessica Parker looks fantastic for her age. There is volume loss and her skin has thinned, but her bone structure is so good that she has aged gracefully. I find it disconcerting when female (especially) celebrities deny having procedures because, for a majority of them, their celebrity status is due in large part to their exceptional, and supposedly “natural” beauty - rather than stemming from exceptional talent. Conversely, I fully respect celebrities who admit to having a rhinoplasty, cheek implants, chin implants, dental work, breast augmentation, liposuction, etc. - and credit these procedures for the opportunity to pursue their career choice.
I agree.. she looks great! And I appreciate her even more that she hasn’t done what so many in Hollywood do. They make older women feel like crap about themselves as they age.
I dont think she looks GREAT for her age - her skin is in quite poor shape- more that of someone in their 70s. But her face shape is fine and she still looks like herself. The issue with celebs that they dont have lifestyles that give them great skin and they dont take on the repsonsibility to look after their skin until they look haggard. Then they leave it all up to others to fix them up. Skin care is like diet - its 100% up to you as you have to do it daily. If she had cared for her skin better when she was younger - she would have looked decent with minimal injectables
@@hawaiijeans Her skin is thin, crepy and aged - and far from beautiful and that is why she considred a facelift - if her skin was young and plump she would be quite insane and that would not be a topic of discussion from her own mouth, IPerhaps if people were honest with her years ago - she would have better skin, Ypu kmow tell her she is looking rough in her 40s and needs to rake care of her skin. Aging doesn’t “suck”, it’s the reward of a life well lived. People have to stop being so superficial and looking at each other as objects. Grey hair, some droop and creases are a fact of life. I won’t change mine, I earned them while doing good in the world. Nothing there I want to erase. Could I be much better looking if I had a bunch of procedures? Maybe, if I didn’t get botched as many do. But I wouldn’t want that anyway, too much attention, mostly the wrong kind.

I've almost died two different times on the table and frankly I look awful. I have very deep frown lines from the stress of all this. I hate these lines because they make me look angry. I'm 63. I'm so thankful to be alive. I will admit I wish that I didn't look angry all the time. That makes me feel terrible because people are often mean to me because they think I'm mad. I can't control my voice either so that doesn't help. I mostly whisper or I get too loud. But I am alive. I had my first grand child last year. Everyday for me is a gift. For those women who feel the desire to do this, do it. The rest of us will cheer you on from the sidelines. Nonetheless, the videos are fun to watch.
I don't know why there is stigma but my aunt had a face lift and she is very open about it. She's actually the reason I am considering one. She looks fabulous!
agreed--I've always thought sjp is one of the least attractive women I've seen (celebrity or not). I don't mean to be petty or disrespectful, but to me she unfortunately looks like a prototypical witch, straight out of central casting. Sorry for saying this, but I can't be the only one who thinks this!
You only realize your real age in reflection. We don't walk around holding a mirror of ourselves but we do have the same eyes we have been viewing the world out of our entire lives.
Totally on board and agree with her. The male gaze is ruling and ruining the lives of women. I am almost 75 and I am considered beautiful, looking younger than my age, but I exercise, do yoga, eat healthy, meditate walk and having loving relationships. That is my gateway to youth. Never surgery.
TBH ~ If you cannot see w/your eyes beyond the make-up…IDK what to tell you. I cannot remember ANY woman he’s shown in his vids who hasn’t looked absolutely AMAZING after surgery. I have never seen anything like it & I’ve worked in the industry. The man is quite talented.
I had plastic surgery on 7/7...I did it totally for me, had a great surgeon and am truly beautiful...different choices for different people...the last thing we need to do as women is put each other down for choosing surgery or for growing old without surgery...both are beauty...a lot of beauty comes from who you are, how you serve others ( I am a psych RN) and feeling good about yourself and doing things that nourish yourself...for me surgery did that, I don't regret it one bit/would do it again in a minute and really hope as women if we don't have anything nice or supportive to say to other women who may make different choices from ours that hurt or affect no one else, that we say nothing or not sit in judgement...
I recently discovered your videos and really appreciate how informative and clear they are. I'm 74, have always looked much younger than i am. I stay out of the sun, never smoked, and am blessed with "good" genes. But recently, Ive noticed vertical rinkles on my upper lips, and deep lines developing between my cheeks and mouth. Not marionette lines yet, but going that way. I do have the kind of fair skin that gets crepey and thats beginning too. By my age, my mother had had two full facelifts, the second at 75. She was beautiful, in her day. I don't expect thst, but Id just want to be able to look in a mirror without cringing. Its good to know that you have patients even ilder than me. Thank you!
I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos. I love to hear when people have taken care of their skin. It's never too late to start a routine with the right active ingredients to help you look and feel your best!
Ageing does not ‘suck’ - it’s a privilege to get older; so many don’t get that chance. Lots of great things about getting older. And yes, some not so great ! Thanks for another interesting video 😊
Its not just tipping off others that you've had a facelift. The dramatic change to a younger you is difficult for your own brain to accept. It can be traumatic for some people despite the fact they look great. It takes time for even the patient to accept the "new you". Your brain needs to have its memory of the old you fade while conditioning itself to the new person that is in the mirror.
"Why do we care?" Talking about the stigma. I live in a very rural area in Middle Europe where anything being done to yourself to enhance your looks is being frowned upon. Just today, my co-workers made fun of another female co-worker who openly talked about her recent Botox injections. I hate this mindset! I too started with some Botox this year as I turned 40 but I would never ever tell anyone over here. If I ever get a FL I will save lots of vacation days and then officially go on a "retreat" for 4 weeks or so. When I'll be back, they will probably only notive how "rested" I look (hopefully ;)))
I’m an african american who turns 60 early next year. People are shocked when they find out my age. However, I’m planning on having a face lift in 2024. My husband will have a fit and all my relatives think I’m crazy. I don’t care what others think, it’s my face and my decision.
She still looks beautiful to me. Beauty is in the ye of the beholder and I’ve always thought she was beautiful. There has always been something special about her look.
People in the comment section are too idealist. When aging happens to you and experience divorce, lay off, and agism and are discriminated (no friends or work opportunities, i’ve seen it happen to everyone who is old) then you guys will understand that aging does in fact suck. I’m 32 and even i know that, i look young for my age and people treat me ok but i’m already noticing a change in treatment. I will be careful and try to address aging.
I think that Sarah barely has any sagging skin issues, considering she's almost 60; she has a little, but she's done a great job taking care of her skin. The issue is more about some other aging features like her nose getting more bulbous with age, for example. The thing is that she needs a protective answer on this insisting and repulsive obsession of the media on why she doesn't care about her own aging process in the way people want her to care. But that's the point, she doesn't, and I applaud her courage for not succumbing to the pressure. And in overall, I really appreciate these videos cause they're very informational about the whole secrecy that involves plastic surgery.
@meghanmisaliar yeahhhhhhhhh.....it doesn't though, does it. This is the second comment I've seen of yours on this video saying the same thing - almost word for word both times - and quite frankly, you need to lay off the cunty attitude. All your negativity will lead to wrinkles.
I've been pulling up my face since my mid 20s. for the longest time, I was convinced I'd needed a facelift. I'm in my late 30s now and when I look back at these pictures I figure it was a weid obsession. :D I don´t think it is the best indicator. It´s always worth getting an expert's opinion. Also: Sarah Jessica looks STUNNING!
I think she looks amazing. Aging is a gift. I would want to look my age only refreshed/ well rested... gracefully aged. Just as your technique displays. I would say having work done as a maintenance is fine. It's when too much or bad work is done that changes your appearance.
Aging is a part of life. At least there are a few actors out there who actually embrace it and comfortable with themselves, and that’s what it’s all about.
Please can you break down what fellow cast member Kristin Davis did wrong? She makes some of us fear getting surgery as her face looks pulled back / stretched, causing the joker mouth... plus we'd like to know what part is fillers and what part is bad facelift? Basically, can you explain what not to do?
She admitted she had fillers & regrets them. Had them dissolved after friends told her she over did it but you can’t dissolve all of them. She said in an interview a few months ago. She also said she wished more people would talk publicly about what they’ve really done to help others especially women.
I love this channel--I can't believe what I've learned. Dr. Karam, could you please address malar bags and the Vertical Restore? I think mine would be improved, or even gone, with the procedure but would love to know your ideas on addressing them for everyone who has them. Thanks!
At 55 my skin is in good condition, however I was beginning to see the jowls appearing , bags under the eyes and the loss of fat in my face. I have had botox to keep wrinkles at bay but didn't want to put any fillers into my body, so I saved up the money I would've spent and have just had a face lift and lower blepharoplasty - under local anaesthesia minimal scaring and I look as I wanted - more refreshed but ultimately me - only those close to me know I've had it done - most people think it's because i've taken a holiday 😀. Although when I have been asked, I am open and honest and said I've had a face lift & eye surgery.
I feel like it's just trying to be the best you can be as we age. I've had a FaceLift and forehead lift and tuck under chin done around back of My ears and I had another one done two years ago called the Y-Lift and this one was absolutely 💯 perfect because he just made a straight line cut around front of ears and let me say the scarring you can't see at all and I was even awake on this one too and it was zero pain or scary he made you feel super comfortable by talking you through it with other things. I'm 60 now. And part of the Y-Lift one was also done using fillers everywhere else needed and was actually affordable compared to the first one by far. Anyways I look at it as I'm trying to age to perfection lol 😆 🤪 😌. I'm not ashamed I feel it's a blessing when you can afford to do these things. Anyways just my outlook tysvmfs. I am a RUclips Influencer as well and I show my whole Y-Lift in videos if anyone wants to see. I am a DIY doing treatments like microneedling, dermaplaning and Skincare products as well as nails a bit ago on Channel. Anyways hope you don't mind me sharing. Tysvmfs too I watch you often 😂😂❤
Hi Dr Karam Thank you for your Educational and Informative Videos. I have Regretfully neglected my skin care all my life, Thinking stupidly that beauty lasts forever! Not true! As I am Aging, I can clearly see my Stupidity, So I am Now Thankfully waking up and taking your advice, And putting it to Use! 🙏 Much love from South Africa 🇿🇦
@@dramirkaram Thanks Dr Karam Please inform me about this Question, I am Using a Moisturizer with SPF 30, Is it Still Necessary to use Sunscreen as well?
Money it's not diet They all have had some kind of work done doesn't matter if it's a facelift if it's a peel if it's threads they've all had something done
@patricua drake- better watch Hrt honey. I lost 6 colleagues and friends. All got breast cancer and passed away. My sister in law is fighting it now all hormone induced.
The interpretation 2 is more likely. I have a friend who decided on facelift surgery when she was in her late 40s so that she’ll age gracefully and look always 10 years younger, and it is like that, she’s 59 now. Nevertheless, she spends on very good quality skin care to maintain it.
What is wrong with growing old gracefully?! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying you shouldn’t take good care of yourself. Definitely eat healthy, exercise regularly and take care of your skin. But, don’t buy into the myth that we need to look like we’re perpetually in our twenties, that’s crazy! It’s sad to see women in Hollywood turning into cartoon versions of themselves. Helen Mirren did it beautifully and we can too ❤
This procedure is expensive. Sorry, I have never considered SJP as a natural beauty. I started taking care of my skin as a teen. Skin care is very important!!!
I love the work this doctor does the women look amazing. If I could afford it I would go to him. I think he is so talented. I hope these patients appreciate their circumstance that allowed them the means to see him. I hope someday I will be similarly blessed.
You do amazing work, I just mentioned you to my husband and he just said "oh he just tweeks you" I'm 46 and still like my look, yes my skin could have less texture but that's life, but if I'm ever ready, I will remember you, I'm scared of doing anything to myself, I'm in the skin face, so I'm really aware of keeping my skin care routine up.
Thank you for that video! My friend did surgery at her early-mid 40s, it kind of changed her overall look, but she tells everyone about this "window", probably justifying her timing. But aging does not stop at the moment your surgery is done. She would never look in her 20s, no matter what. Can't we just accept the reality?
What leads you to think she doesn't accept reality by doing a facelift? She simply chooses the reality of a facelift. It's like dying your greys, putting on makeup, ... in a way. Losing your teeth could also be a reality... would you not wear a prosthetic? Off course doing a facelift doesn't stop ageing. Who believes that?
@@MegaTinni what makes you think I deny a facelift as a reality?? Answering your question - a lot of people think that facelift makes them look 20s, when in fact they look a bit better and that's all. Those who do FL in their 50s and older have much more dramatic difference than those in 40s or even 30s. I stated my opinion and did not expect lecture on common sense
@@SHyoutube. Triggered much? Read your comment. You end by saying people that have facelift will never be 20 again and are not accepting reality (wait...is this a lecture..). I say they are accepting reality. They just choose to respond differently. Perhaps you should ask yourself why you are so judgemental about it. Why not say:this is my friend's choice, just not something for me. And leave it at that. That would be a neutral response.
@@MegaTinni Tiggering? Lol. Perhaps my comment touched some deep thoughts in you to respond in such protective way. For that I ll repeat - no plastic surgery will make you young, the faster you accept it the better your outlook on life would be. FL can make fix a few problems with sagging skin, but it, again, won't turn the clock back. Triggering.... :)))
@@SHyoutube. Again, read my first comment: what leads you to think your friend believes she will magically be young after doing a facelift? A facelift does just that: lift the tissue and skin of your face. And that only. But is it so hard to stomach for you to accept that some people choose just that? To lift the tissue and skin on their face. It's you who's triggered, hun.
hi Dr. would you feel comfortable talking about your age and what you personally do to look so great?? do you get any injectables and have you done any surgical procedures, or is it purely skincare?!
@@trawlins396 i don't think it's weird to ask someone who has a youtube channel exactly about these topics to talk about them. plus he did specifically say in this video that there shouldn't be stigma around it
@@dramirkaram woooow can't believe you are 50 with only skincare!!! you look GREAT! ok that gives me hope 😊🙌🏽 have you been on diligent skincare since forever, or did you start in your mid 30's like many of us??
I can see that you are a kind and skilled Doc with a real passion for your work. PS is so interesting, it's intriguing to watch these channels. I kinda have to take issue with your opening statement (2:17) that aging is something we all dread & cause for despair. From grandmas of yore to fulfilled woman today, many many are not fixated on their looks. We have big lives and lots of satisfaction from things that are much different than the vanity of our youth. (I don't criticize those who can't help but angst about their nose or chin etc..& want a fix.) I play pickleball with a crazy, fun, joyful, upbeat group of people in their 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s (four of them) and 90s (2). We play almost every day for hours. We socialize, laugh our butts off, travel, chat, and look out for each other. I'm pretty sure there's little to no PS stories in our large community of players. We may make a few salty comments about wrinkles, droopy parts and all the rest, but mostly we laugh about life and ignore the little stuff. We are so happy to be healthy enough to play, engage, LIVE. Maybe my friends faces (and mine) have flaws, I just don't see it that way. I think of them like a high school gang with all their quirks, gifts and generous spirits. I get that some people continue to crave youth or an improved appearance, but truly it's not universal.
Amén to that! I love how real /honest this doctor is.. and that he brought up the topic regarding celebraties and why they feel the need to lie. If anything, it brings more attention to them if they are denying it.
The stigma around surgery is because people act like your so insecure, vein and stupid for going under anesthesia to enhance yourself. People are so judgmental but who cares I do t but I do care how much this will cost me in the next 10 years I love your work
They confuse confidence with vanity, and cant tell the difference between someone who is having a normal, human reaction to an unattractive ageing face and someone with body dysmorphia. They accuse anyone who cares about how they look as being vain and shallow, then admire celebs for being beautiful. 🙄 Ignorance and hypocrisy reigns supreme it would seem
Totally! I hate it when people tell me how I should feel about something based on how THEY feel. I t makes me really angry that people would want to wish such misery on me. They act as if wanting to look young and beautiful is some sort of crime! I mean, why are people coming here to a video on facelifts to preach their pro aging and 'age gracefully' agenda when they know they wont get a warm welcome?!
I think she should do it, and maybe look for you to do this vertical technique, it would be great for her. She could improve a lot. Because she lost a lot of the face she had. The others did and they are doing great.
I don’t think she “should” do it. She definitely can if she wants to. I’m younger than her and I find it very encouraging to see women of her age, wrinkles and all on screen. I love her actual face. When we talk about men, we never hear that they should fix their faces as they age. We consider them to be much more than their physical appearance and listen to what they have to say instead on focusing on their look. I wish society would stop make women feel inadequate when they age. That being said, if someone wants to have procedure, no problem with that!
@@cannellecinnamon5504 oh boy. There's always one....🙄 Believe it or not, women dont have surgery to please "society". They have it to please THEMSELVES. Shocking right??
If you want to age 50 times faster than you normally would, then smoke cigarettes like Sarah Jessica Parker did! It's an invitation from wrinkles for the 40-year-old, and there's NO turning back from that. Throw those cigarettes away before it's too late.
My little brother died a few months ago and he never will get to grow old.
Growing old is a privilege not many people get to reach.
I'm trying to embrace my transition " I'm 45 "
We need to make growing old acceptable. 😊
Condolences for the loss of your brother 🌸
The 2 things are unrelated. Sorry for your loss. Don't punish yourself by neglecting to improve what you can.
Who's "we"??? Growing old IS "acceptable" to plenty of people.
It's acceptable to me!!
Sorry for your loss 😢 💔
Aging doesn’t suck! It’s normal, it’s a gift! Getting cancer sucks! Being in a major car accident sucks! Ageing is an opportunity to stop focusing on the wrapping and concentrate on the contents. When we are all on our death beds I can guarantee we will not be thinking, “ I wish I had lazer, or Botox or a facelift” We’ll be thinking about what our life meant, who loved us and who we loved. 🤷♀️
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Thank you for saying that!
It sure sucks for me-and I should know, since its me living my life and experiencing it for myself
The first woman, the 86 year old is a great example of before and after, as she's wearing barely any makeup.
yes, I agree, and I think every single person that looks at pictures like this thinks the same. there really should be zero makeup on both before and after, it doesn't matter if it's caked on or not. maybe some eyebrow should be all
I always thought of that why the before picture is without makeup and serious face then the after is with full makeup and smiling 😊
I feel like I've seen this same comment on other videos before ??
I think she looks great at 58. There’s something beautiful about her face, her confidence and her overall look. It seems she’s better off aging naturally than bizarrely like some.
I agree.
You do know that hollyweird a list actors are all transgenders.
Please do a video on the safety of facelifts. Many people don't have surgery because they are afraid to have an unfortunate event occur as a result of vanity. I would appreciate some statistics on surgery success, complications, and what health conditions may make surgery more risky etc.
In my hands surgery is extremely safe and reliable. You must do your research and make sure you go to a trustworthy surgeon with a great track record.
For many, the ONLY thing holding them back is MONEY!! Not everyone can afford a 100k facelift, myself included. I don’t know if he is teaching his techniques to other surgeons who might charge less? I wish I could find one because I would do it tomorrow!
I agree completely. Empower us by making it more affordable and spreading/ teaching the technique to other surgeons. That would be a good deed doctor.
No, thanks for sharing!
Good for you.
Let people think what they like - you did something that has bought you joy. I see a facelift as just trying to get your face back - the face you've got used to all these years. It's not like having a nose job where you totally change the shape - you're just getting back something you lost.
Yeah, if we are supposed to live into 80s, 90s, etc. we need to do it OUR way! Good for you!
Agree. His "afters" are amazingly natural. He doesn't try too hard to make them look younger.

@@dramirkaramwho in Australia uses your technique?
EXACTLY! His goal is to sell his service, not help us think positively about the REALITY of experiencing life to the fullest ❤

Facelift at 44. I'm 38 and I can't imagine doing a facelift close to my age. 44 is right around the corner. I would wait until 50. Or 50-55.
time flyies..
When I was 44 I didn’t need one that surprised me as well
44 seems insanely young for a facelift.
Totally agree. She looks so gorgeous and has that type of look that benefits from age, because she always had a unique and "mature" face.

I agree and disagree. Yes, it will be obvious she's had one. But on the other side of it, the effect will still be there.
Shes beautiful the way she is, the only thing that needs a facelift is the awful writing on that show
She's not telling THE reason she hasn't had a facelift -- because of her chain-smoking.
Yeah but ageing makes many people look like a completely different person too
One more potential interpretation: the window could be specific to career opportunities for women in the entertainment industry. If you get a lift while you're still relatively young-looking, you extend the "sweet spot" of your career by delaying the point when you start to feel the blow of Hollywood's brand of gendered ageism.
Very insightful!
It’s interesting you mention thst . During the pandemic I let my gray hair grow out . I’ve had them since young . I am
Now 46 .
Basically… We’re not ugly we’re just broke
What stops you from making money? Only yourself.

SJP is beautiful. She doesn’t need anything done. It’s nice to see her face move naturally, unlike many of her peers.
When you factor in how long it takes the surgeon to do it, most believe it's an
over-priced, "luxury" item and beyond most people's budget.
Nah some of us are just ugly We were ugly when we were young and getting older doesn't help We need new faces need facelifts
Like when Renee zellweger got a lot of work done, and even Jennifer Gray when she was much younger got a nose job everyone had something to say about it in fact for Jennifer it almost completely derailed her career because she didn't look like she did when she was 16

Only a small minority are OK with getting and looking old.
True.
People are judgemental about spending money on your looks even if they spend large amounts of money on other things important ti them.
Exactly
You can have great skin with almost no budget - however it wont give you great features or great face shape. I have met 100s of celebs and they generally have poor skin but they have nice features , face shape and are well put together - make up hair clothes. To be honest they just waste their own money on all these proceedures as they just look tight and old. Ordinary people have better skin than celebs as we just dont have the money and time to wreck our skin to the extent of celebs. What they have is glamour which does cost and is expensve.

Thank you.
Your work is fantastic:

Sarah Jessica looks great! She doesnt need a facelift
I agree. I know plenty of women in their 50s who are NOT sagging and they haven't had any "work". They're usually always WOC though lol.
I notice that women who "tan" a lot when younger usually age VERY badly.

She doesn’t look like she needs a face lift to me. Her skin actually looks pretty decent for a white woman in her late 50s. I say white woman because white women typically age faster than men and people with melanin.
Agreed
Melanin has no effect on bone loss, fascia elongation, and fat pad descent.
@@dammar117 I’m aware of that but white women still tend to age faster🤷🏾♀️

You only realize your real age in reflection. We don't walk around holding a mirror of ourselves but we do have the same eyes we have been viewing the world out of our entire lives.
I’ve seen facelifts done by many different docs that looked fantastic, some of them endoscopic with great results.

Absolutely. Jessica looks just fine with her natural, pretty face. 🥰
I have no problem with aging and don't feel like making alterations, but I also don't think there should be any stigma anymore about getting surgery
Agreed!
I dont know of one single great thing about ageing . I hate it
Its not just tipping off others that you've had a facelift.
You seem to have a lot of free time on your calendar for messing about on RUclips.
🤣🤣🤣
Why would she regret ??? She looks as fit as ever. People are insane
I never understood why some ppl say she's "gorgeous". I think she's 'homely', & I agree about the nose. Pretty eyes, though.
SJ needs nothing done
Wrong. Her skin looks very wrinkly and leathery on camera.
If only that were true!
@googisfree yes she does.
@meghanmisaliar yeahhhhhhhhh.....it doesn't though, does it. This is the second comment I've seen of yours on this video saying the same thing - almost word for word both times - and quite frankly, you need to lay off the cunty attitude. All your negativity will lead to wrinkles.
I'm glad she did not. She looks beautiful as is. She actually looks better looking as she ages.
Aging does not suck. I like getting older. I also like that Sarah Jessica stayed radiant and natural. She is a role-model to many of us.
I had a facelift in my mid 40s and yes the good doctor is correct. I am now 66, quite fit and I look like I’m in my 40s.
I was prepared to hate on this video. It is actually very informative and practical.
😂lol glad you gave it a chance!
And they’re mostly from the UK
Please can you break down what fellow cast member Kristin Davis did wrong? She makes some of us fear getting surgery as her face looks pulled back / stretched, causing the joker mouth... plus we'd like to know what part is fillers and what part is bad facelift? Basically, can you explain what not to do?
He already did a video on her. Or maybe that was Dr Linkov 🤷♀️
She basically gets too much filler in the wrong places.
That was done a few weeks ago.
Oh, thanks love @@trawlins396
She admitted she had fillers & regrets them. Had them dissolved after friends told her she over did it but you can’t dissolve all of them. She said in an interview a few months ago. She also said she wished more people would talk publicly about what they’ve really done to help others especially women.
I love this channel--I can't believe what I've learned. Dr. Karam, could you please address malar bags and the Vertical Restore? I think mine would be improved, or even gone, with the procedure but would love to know your ideas on addressing them for everyone who has them. Thanks!
I am so glad you enjoy my videos, thanks for watching! I will note this video topic.
It’s never too late! You worked hard for that! You earned it ! It’s a reward! Some buy a dream car, dream house and some buy a facelift!
I want to do the same, I’m 68 and still working
how much did something like that cost?
I’m doing that in the mirror I’m 51 and Ready to come see you! I live in Louisiana and it’s so far 😢
Where is he and how much does it cost?
@@workinprogress3609San Diego and around 100 grand
Hi Dr Karam
Thank you for your Educational and Informative Videos.
I have Regretfully neglected my skin care all my life,
Thinking stupidly that beauty lasts forever!
Not true!
As I am Aging, I can clearly see my Stupidity,
So I am Now Thankfully waking up and taking your advice,
And putting it to Use! 🙏
Much love from

Thank you for sharing!

Thanks Dr Karam
Please inform me about this Question,
I am Using a Moisturizer with SPF 30,
Is it Still Necessary to use Sunscreen as well?
Money it's not diet They all have had some kind of work done doesn't matter if it's a facelift if it's a peel if it's threads they've all had something done
A chemical peel doesn’t address sagging skin and other structural face issues that effect women who’ve reached menopause.
@@BigFacts798 correct that why I take HRT ❤️
@patricua drake- better watch Hrt honey. I lost 6 colleagues and friends. All got breast cancer and passed away. My sister in law is fighting it now all hormone induced.
❤ loads of information I love the refreshed and subtleness of vertical restore facelifts used tone horrendous
You are right she is not pretty. And now she looms like an 80 yo man
Skin care is very very important
Do you know the cost of this procedure? I’m in Texas
Why can’t we accept ourselves as we are ??? It’s really sad …….I’m grateful I have the opportunity to grow old. Not everyone can say that…!!! 😐
Agree!!
Great video I hope someday I can afford to have it done but meanwhile do everything I can do for my skin. Thanks for your videos 👍
Thank you for watching!
I love the work this doctor does the women look amazing. If I could afford it I would go to him. I think he is so talented. I hope these patients appreciate their circumstance that allowed them the means to see him. I hope someday I will be similarly blessed.
Shes got tons of $$$$, i can't understand why she didn't get a facelift. Its never too late
I think it's really weird that actresses deny getting work done...it's weird.
Aging SUCKS!
True
Definitely not for the weak! Thankfully, everyone has to go through it so no one is alone!
No it doesn't. It's a gift. EVERY DAY is a gift.
Tell that to a dead person. Oh wait. . . .
No ma'am. Cancer sucks, being in a car wreck sucks, losing a limb sucks. Aging is gift! Some don't have that privilege.
Dr. Karam, can you please tell us how you treat your skin and if you have any procedures? Botox? or would you ever have a facelift.
Just botox. I use the karammdskin Trifecta for skincare www.drkaram.com/getting-started/
hi Dr. would you feel comfortable talking about your age and what you personally do to look so great?? do you get any injectables and have you done any surgical procedures, or is it purely skincare?!
Those are very intrusive questions.
I will be 50 in september. I have had minimal botox and I use the KaramMD Skin Trifecta.
@@trawlins396 luckily i didn't ask them to you 🤷🏻♀️
@@trawlins396 i don't think it's weird to ask someone who has a youtube channel exactly about these topics to talk about them. plus he did specifically say in this video that there shouldn't be stigma around it
@@dramirkaram woooow can't believe you are 50 with only skincare!!! you look GREAT!
ok that gives me hope 😊🙌🏽
have you been on diligent skincare since forever, or did you start in your mid 30's like many of us??
Just keep telling 40 year old women they'd better get a facelift so you can come back to me in your 50s for another one, and another, and another...
The stigma around surgery is because people act like your so insecure, vein and stupid for going under anesthesia to enhance yourself. People are so judgmental but who cares I do t but I do care how much this will cost me in the next 10 years I love your work
Thank you! Surgery is definitely a personal decision and journey, should not be influenced by external factors!
Local anestesia with sedation. The risk is the liposuction part that has to be injected in the face.
Thank you for addressing the comments in the interview.
I think she should do it, and maybe look for you to do this vertical technique, it would be great for her. She could improve a lot. Because she lost a lot of the face she had. The others did and they are doing great.
Agree! Only because she's on camera so much! And the camera highlights her wrinkles.
There's always one....🙄
Believe it or not, women dont have surgery to please "society".
