People will make more money pawning this ginormous cymbals than catalytic converts.
The way he whips the stick back when he’s hitting the crash is very similar to how Matt halpern likes to hit the crashes. Craig reynolds described it best by saying he “activates” his cymbals rather than hitting them.

The more I listen the more I like. Without being a constant demonstration of technique, the use of accents in cymbals and the dominion of the instrument leaves me with the mouth open. Congrats for creating these beauty moments

Jay, Meinl, & Crew. maybe you remember me from your Concealing Fate upload on this channel. You know, that guy who wrote quite the large comment on how you were grossly overplaying that performance and how you it was not what I expected from you? Yeah. That’s me.
I would just like to say I now 100% retract any of those comments and remarks I made about your skill and anything associated. They were unnecessarily mean, misguided, and constructed off of a performance that really, was actually excellent now that I rewatch it. You’ve still got it, and actually improved a ton from your previous live videos. This was so tasteful and so well done; so articulate, thick, and very creative. Really really great job, man. You and TesseracT both just never fail to impress with new music. Keep it up. Amazing stuff

Really love drummers like him, who can do much more than just producing "cool grooves" but being able to literally "paint" to the musical texture on the drums (and cymbals), complementing the composition, don't know how to express it different hope you catch my drift ;)...also hear a bit Danny Carey in his approach...
