Great to see you again Dave!! You are so encouraging! I am planning a solo trip in late April and then again in mid May. Thanks again and we have missed you!!!
Such A gorgeous area look at those views . Reminds me of an area in New Brunswick I went to. Mmm the steak looked tasty nice camping overnighter happy to see you back out it's been a while . I have read the fire season will be the same as last years burns as the fire in some areas is still burning under the ground . Look forward to your next video. Watching from Ontario .
Ha that's too funny. When I watched the footage of me with the pack I couldn't believe how big it looked. 75% of it was my large sleeping bag! Plus the straps kept loosening so the pack was unbalanced.
He's back! Nice to see you out on another adventure. What a beautiful spot you found. Good on you for doing a little cowboy camping, love it. Question though? Was that a blurred out butt crack when gathering water??? 🤣
Ya I do enjoy some cowboy camping, although I've never been called a cowboy! I'm not sure what you are talking about? A blurred butt crack shot? My butt is just naturally blurry😂
Ha, thanks. No the sound actually helps put you to sleep. However some don't like it because you can't hear if an animal comes up to your tent at night, but I didn't mind. The sound did make me want to pee a lot!
Great to see you out. That fire was going to start one day lol You’re right about the weather being different this winter. Have animals hibernated over there for the whole winter?
I think most animals came out a bit early from hibernating. It did take me a while to start the fire. I am out of practice! I left the entire sequence because most of the time it lights quite quickly but people think I just edit it to look like I get it right away...not always 😂
Welcome back Dave! Yeah, winter out East was weird too, hardly any snow, I see some fire bans in our future for summer. We need our normal winters back! Question: do you purify your water from the lake at all or just boil it? 😎👍🏻
Thanks Jason. I do filter the water I have a gravity filter that I use, but for this trip I just boiled the water. If you let it boil for a while it kills lost things.
This was a good trip but also challenging with the strong winds. This was a really beautiful spot.
Really nice spot I can see the wind being a challenge when filming I find it challenging and I am not even filming!
The winds must make it tough to film epscially with the drone?
Nice to see you back mate. Hi from the UK👍
Good to see you’re putting videos out again.
Thanks, I appreciate it.

Thanks Chris, good luck on your trips! Let me know how they go?
Nice your back. Seasons starting. Nice drone shots.
Thanks, it was a good spot for the drone until the wind really picked up then I thought I was going to lose it😂
Great video. What a beautiful spot you choose. I love how you keep it simple. See you on the next one. Enjoy!
Thanks Dennis, this was good trip, despite the wild wind. None of my trips go as planned! but I still manage to have a good time.
Great little overnight. Early spring is one of my favorite times to get out and spend some time in the woods. Nice work, keep em coming! Cheers
Ya it was great to get out this early in the season, I just wish the wind wasn't so strong. But still a fun trip. Thanks.

With such a large pack I was expecting to see a tent haha

Wow beautiful waterfalls. Do you find it hard to sleep at night with the noise of the water?

Potato butter/oil then wax paper then foil that should help u Sir keep up the good work
I've never thought of the wax paper, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks I'll give it a try.
@@DavidNorthFilms make sure you oil the potato down rub oi/butterl all over the tater
Give parchment paper a try.
I’ve never slept outside with a tent, you’re brave lol
Was this near Kings Chute btw? I’m just taking a wild guess
Thanks, it wasn't king's chute but still in Frontenac. I've never been to king's chute, I bet it's beautiful.
@@DavidNorthFilms North Frontenac is the best, thanks for sharing
@@ThatsAPaddlin88 it really is great, such a beautiful spot and I haven't explored much of it...yet!
