Yes! Thank you. I ended up buying an Audient ASP 800 to expand my Audiofuse 16 Rig but of course it's still not enough. I will def snag one of these! Wish they came out sooner though.
I have plenty of line entries with my 16rig, what i need is more preamplified hi-z inputs for raw guitar signals and such. Where is the audiofuse 8pre equivalent with 8 guitar preamps ?
I don't think there is such a device, there are many 8 mic pre that can also do 8 instruments, but just 8 instrument inputs not existing as far as i know. especially with adat. Why would you need that?
Always great to see and hear you again, Lena. Can anyone at Arturia confirm whether the unit is fanless so silent, and also whether I can plug in the rather hot outputs of Eurorack modules into the 8 inputs without the need to attenuate them first?
@@ArturiaOfficial I understand, but that does not answer the question. Right now my mixer can handle the output of my Eurorack modules by padding them down -6 to -12dB, I could perhaps test this with your interfaces and return them if it does not work out. Love your products, Arturia!
@@rayderrich -12dB gives you a lot of flexibility with eurorack, more than most converters, Most modules (Like VCA's) can attenuate the volume before the converter.
@@xfghffhfg I currently plug VCOs straight into my mixer so the signal can be quite hot. I was hoping to replace it for a higher quality mixer while keeping the options open. Thanks for your comment!
@@rayderrich You may use somthing like the error instruments flying-attenuator or koma attenuator cables, attenuation of hot signal is not much of an issue.
I assume that Arturia as an analog synth manufacturer should know it better, but when you plug in analog synths directly into the unit the level can changes drastically from sound to sound. To have a decent -16db RMS level on your DAW you need to adjust the input level more fine than Pad on or off. I see this input module more for analog preamps like a 1073 or others.
If the input is sensitive enough you only need to attenuate the synth volume. This is what people have been doing for over 20 years. Also with 24db recording, the exact recording volume doesn't matter that much.
@@magneticfilm Oh I see, I meant 24 bits. If I understand you correctly, you aim to record synthesizers directly, unless you record above 0dBfs. I don't see why it matters since you can attenuate with the synth's own volume.
we need the audiofuse 8pre back in stock!

Brilliant work as always.

Better off just getting 8 DI boxes then.

As long as your hot outputs of Eurorack won't clip (even with PAD attenuator on) you will be on good!

Can this be used with the Audiofuse 8pre?
Yes! 8Pre has preamps but can also be used with line or instrument signals.
Hi, would I be able to combine two x8 ins and link them up to my Universal Audio X8 interface to create 16 total inputs? Thanks
Yes!
I‘d say no.
Although x8 has to Adat in‘s, it’s for S/mux and only supports a total of 8 In‘s no matter what.
Nice

You always have a precise gain control in your audio interface. AudioFuses X8 only expand the amount of inputs and outputs.

@@xfghffhfg You seems to be an expert. With 24db recording I'm about 42 db over the nominal level for proper a 24 bit recording of -18db RMS.

lol, for such a simple project you would think there wouldn't be a bunch of errors in here dialog.
