Great detailed video, and as someone has already mentioned... the fact that you went over 3 interfaces in under 30 mins with it all actually making sense, as well as flowing very smoothly = greatly appreciated. Thanks for such a fantastic review. My personal studio is steadily growing, and I have developed a real fondness for Arturia. I have a Keylab MkII 61 and recently picked up a MiniBrute2S. Your reviews and insight were integral in both those decisions, and I have not been disappointed! I find the prices high for these interfaces but I will probably just hold out a little longer and save up for the Studio, rather than continually moving cables around. Meanwhile I will continue my research as well. Peace

And other question, Are the headphones amps powerful enough for a headphone like DT770 250 ? Or do you have to push the buton to the top ? (I mean for the Studio and REV2 version, on the 8pre i had to push the button around 80% to have a good level when i mix around -15dbfs peak...)

      I use audiofuse studio on a daily basis and have had no issues with it. Perhaps I had to restart it twice since I made this video because the main encoder was responding oddly (it's a software controlled encoder). I highly recommend it.

    • @bbfoto7248
      @bbfoto7248 3 года назад

      @Samuel Razzano
      I can't comment on the mic preamp gain knob noise (though I also had this problem on my Audient iD22).
      But regarding the headphone amplifier, the user manual for the Audiofuse products state that the STUDIO headphone amp is usable for headphones with up to 600-ohm impedance, and the standard Audiofuse and 8pre are usable with up to 250-ohm impedance headphones.
      I believe this is because you must always use the AC wall power supply with the STUDIO, which gives it more input power to fldrive all of the electronics.
      And the 8pre was not designed to be a main "monitor controller" as it would be more likely to be combined with another device to perform that function.

    Very solid, thorough comparison of the features in this line.
    One question: Do you have any information as to why the Studio took over a year to ship after being announced so long ago?
    I texted the question to Arturia on multiple occasions and they refused to answer, replying only with salesman BS. This doesn't say much for their support policies. And while I've had my eye on the Studio, I hesitate to toss $900 to a company that has failed to respond honestly to my inquiry. Lacks integity.
    Obviously, they were having issues with the Studio. Hiding from an honest question may say volumes about the lack of support that may follow should a problem arise after purchase.

      Hmmm??? Seriously, Patrice??? You would think that Arturia would have learned from their huge release debacle & Massive Delay of the original Audiofuse??? :-/
      Firmware development should take A FEW MONTHS maximum, not MORE than a YEAR!
      You should have hired BETTER and/or MORE firmware development engineers! (Yes, I have worked in firmware development).
      As its very first USB Audio Recording Interface product launch, the OVER 2 YEAR DELAY of the original Audiofuse was somewhat forgivable (but not really).
      HOWEVER, it STILL had issues when it was finally released! WTH? (And it continues to as mentioned in this video).
      OH, and please tell me again Exactly How Long it took Arturia to provide the original Audiofuse with its Very First UPDATE??? INEXCUSABLE and laughable!
      But then to actually REPEAT the extremely long release delays for your 2nd Gen 8pre and Studio products? This speaks volumes about the company, and it leaves a seriously bad and long-lasting negative impression in the marketplace.
      How about this? Perhaps you should not ANNOUNCE new products until they are actually AVAILABLE for release and consumer purchase?
      And it's very interesting how the Rev. 2.0 of the original Audiofuse was kept on the down-low.
      Is Arturia providing any trade-in or discounted upgrade path for their 1st Generation Audiofuse owners/adopters that have the overheating issues and/or the speaker & headphone damaging source switching pops???

      That RME UFX II has a more professional suite of interfaces, including word clock and AES/EBU digital, not present on the Arturia Studio. Also has 8 line outputs, including two channels on XLR. Plus two full MIDI I/O buses on standard DIN. What the UFX II doesn't have is the same front panel configuration, which might be of value to you. For that, you can consider adding the ARC USB remote control.
      But better than any feature-by-feature account, more important than any list of specifications, is the fact that RME have the best firmware in the industry and excellent support befitting a company that caters to professionals. They fixed one of my units for free, despite it being 15 years old! You can't go wrong with RME.

    Very well done... I have a question for you.
    With the first audiofuse, you can forward 1 stereo phone output to second speaker outputs. This seems to be perfect for me: I need to play VSTs live in pubs or small theaters. I would use this chance to drive separately PA mixer and my personal monitors on stage.
    I need this feature: usually guitars and drums play much louder during the show than during soundchcheck, so I need a separate potentiometer to control my monitors.
    Can you confirm this feature?

    Nice overview.
    I’ve ordered a Studio to replace my Scarlett 18i8. Hopefully it will be here soon. Very much looking forward to it.
    I just wish they had an 8pre that was ADAT only (just the preamps with no A>D conversion). Having mic pres, and without having to pay for the extras involved with the actual interface portion of it, would seemingly lower the cost significantly for those of us who don’t need that functionality duplicated.
    Do you know if the mic pres in the Studio are available from another company? Or are the exclusive to Arturia?

I CANNOT monitor the adat channels, only the main u-phora channels. Do you know if you can monitor all channels (adat including) with the audio fuse Studio? I do not see anything in the documentation or manual. • @loopop
      @loopop  3 года назад

      I'll start with question #2 - the listen button is a quick solo, you can direct monitor any of the built in channels you like in one of 3 custom configurations (main cue1 cue2) - you just need to configure them in the audiofuse control center.
