I actually welcomed our 5th (yes 5th) lockdown (Melbourne Australia) because I am spending my weekend binge watching all episodes on your channel. Still loving them. Your little ditty about “spring is sprung” made me 😊 my dear old Dad used to say it. & oh! How he would have loved watching your channel. I just know he’d be saying “oh I’ve been there” Thanks for keeping me entertained through yet another lockdown!
Hi again it's just my second time commenting! Found your blogs and now I am hooked.... but I cant seem to get to watch them in order, I'm all over the place!!!! I am a dinosaur when it comes to computers... so I'll keep trying! Luv ya both!!
Hi Margaret. Glad you are enjoying the videos. If you look at our home page on RUclips you will find a playlist tab. If you click on that you will find all videos in date order so you can watch them as they were made. I hope that helps . Fran x
Just to let you know: In Canada 65 years ago when I was a kid, I learned the Spring has sprung, The grass has rizz I wonder where The birdies izz. poem from my Granddad. lol
You should have burnt the Dope in the wood burner as you were going along with Bob Marley blaring on the stereo, while both wearing Rastacaps . It would have really been floating your boat, talk about organic, green cruising ; ) . Are you having trouble with the Mic,the sound was really poor on this one ?Happy Cruis'n and give the dogs a pat from us.
Greetings from Michigan, USA. We always enjoy your videos. Just a special compliment on the quality of your drone footage.Your slow pans, hovering and slow speed approaches are the best! I know flying a drone can be challenging, but your have mastered the art with your quality footage. We also love your small excursions off the towpath. You both make a wonderful effort to show what the canals are like, the beauty , the reality that isn't always so nice. The UK canal system is a wonderful asset that you share with all of us to enjoy...Thank You! However, I do enjoy seeing the old boats, abandoned buildings and small shanty town setups next to some narrowboats that look like they haven't moved in years. Enjoy the sunshine!
Rich loves flying the drone and is working on taking it higher. only a small percentage of his footage makes it to the vlog. we are really enjoying the sights and sounds around the canals and love sharing that with you. Fran x
You were talking about how warm it is there. In this part of the world, we had a lot of rain on the weekend, that changed to a bit of snow. After that, and all week it has been too cold! We have a foot of snow on ice, frozen hard as rock.
@@FloatingOurBoat just finished ep77, been watching all day, love the drone footage, keep up the fantastic work you're both doing, your boat looks fantastic, all the best to you both
Great vid. Just love the bridges on your side of the pond. Thanks for the extra work on that. As I watched I was thinking how great a life for a dog. On the canabis side it's all legal here now. But that just stupid to throw it in the canal.. all the best to you both.
I will endeavour to open my eyes before 8AM tomorrow morning to catch your live edition. Hope all the painting is finished before then though! Coff coff, wink wink....Sorry, I didn't say where I was and in Eastern Australia, well NSW anyway, we are 4 hours ahead of GMT. PS I like your walks and interesting buildings and other sights and light-hearted banter. :-)
Absolutely correct on the time there Ms McCarty! I will try to remember to watch. You said 18-20 degs was hot, where I am in NSW it was 35 today, and at 1.22am it is 21! 38 forecast for Sunday.
@@francesmccarty1544 Oh Boy! 11pm usually means lights out, we usually try to be in bed before 10, so we'll see how we go,,,, If I miss out I wish you all the very best for your live Q & A or whatever you call it!
We remember carrying bags and bags of shopping from the Rugby Tesco to our boat which was probably moored up in the same position as yours - it was a long way and we did it in the dark.
Glad to see you’ve made a start on the decorating. I made a short video of Hawkesbury Junction, so it’s nice to see the aerial shots. Just back from a 5 day cruise and 4 days of sunshine 👍x
Do you know why the cows kept returning to the field of hemp? It was the pot calling the cattle back. Obviously a grower was dumping the leaves and stems out of fear of being caught in possession. It is now legal all up and down the West coast of the US. Now you can just compost the trimmings. Flowers are the good part. Leave are good for nothing except compost.
Love that track by Frook 'I Don't Mind a Little Mess'. Aways to go until I catch you up in 2020! Still locked down, and they closed the beaches in Naples today because of all the New Yorkers hitting the sand for Mother's Day. Heard this evening that Boris wants everyone to be alert - Britain needs Lerts :)
Yeah, not what I was expecting either! Judging by what she showed us, it's all just the rubbish after cleaning - leaves and twigs, not even good for burning in their stove. No wonder there are so many bags in the canal. Nothing to see here. Not like the big bags my sister used to find on the washed up on the beach in Miami.
That journey looked lovely. The weather is so nice at the moment, you can’t believe it’s only February. That year has flown over. You’ve done lots but time seems to have flown. I loved the drone footage, it really gave a great view of the junction. I hope you find time do the Ashby canal it’s beautiful, so quiet and no locks! Unfortunately I won’t be able to tune in a Sunday because it’s our monthly dog walk. Thirty cockapoos at the beach. It’s chaos but our three dogs always love it and we get to indulge in a pub Sunday lunch, or at least I will if there’s a vegan option! I’m coming to the end of the third week of a four week plant based diet and to be honest I think I’ll stay on it because I’m feeling great. Thanks as always for a great video. I’ll watch Sunday’s video when I get home.
Loving the new look interior, but we won’t be able to make the live feed unfortunately, but hope it goes brilliantly.... We’re sure it will.... best of luck xxx
Ive got everything i need on the boat for most projects, only problem is i can never find what I’m looking for no matter how many times i look in boxes and containers it never turns up until ive bought a replacement and am busy looking for something else i cant find 🧐 M & D
What a plastic free food haul! Good on you! Glad you're getting the cable. Do you have a wish list up anywhere, so that folks who have items they don't need can pass them along? If the entire narrowboat community had a singular page, things could be swapped all about regularly. Loving the drone footage and the vlogs always!
Hi both...can I pick your brains? A while ago you posted a video showing the route that you took after buying your boat..up to Fradley I think, across to Wolverhampton, down to Stourport. We are due to set off on our spring / summer trip very soon, and I planned to follow your route, coming up from Bugbrooke on the GU, through Braunston and up to the Ashby and go on from there. As newbies to all of this I wondered how you found the moorings along the way...being close to B’ham....no security issues...or any other points worthy of mention? Keep up the good work....🍷🍷
Very nice video, thanks. When you have finished the DIY on Constanze are you going to volunteer to provide some much needed TLC to the railway bridge (3:00 minutes and on)? It certainly looks as though it needs it!
The CRT were probably rolling a fat one to be bothered with getting the black bags out of the canal. Looks like someone had been cropping their home-grown. Did it smell strong Fran ?.
I live in Canada where Cannabis is legal. The reason they’ve dumped the bags is those parts aren’t any good, very little value to a grower or vender, it’s the buds that are at the tops of the plants that they use. Not sure why they didn’t just compost it somewhere or dump it in the woods, garbage bags of it is just going to call attention to that. You have to wonder if some boat isn’t a mobile grow-op.😂🤣. Doctors prescribe it for many health problems here and you go to a pharmacy to have it filled or you can get a license to grow a few plants for your own use. Now it’s legal for recreational use you go to the booze store and get your wine and some cannabis as well. I’ve never been there but know someone who suffers from chronic pain and they get some that is medicinal but doesn’t get them high. The part that gets them high is taken out. Cannabis has been used for health treatment pretty much since humans have been around.
It's not a Dino. The guy has a lot of classics rotting away. He has a split screen vw camper minis a lotus but the Dino is just a kit car replica. Lots of people over the years have approached him to try and buy various cars and he quite rudely tells them to go forth. He's a bit of an eccentric chap by all accounts who enjoys the fact that many people hate to see the demise of the cars he has.
You will always know when I am off work as I seek out your vlogs to watch on our TV then come to the computer to comment. Love this one...
