No heat. No chemicals. Just a headband and some beauty rest to achieve these curls. Oh, and some DermOrganic Fast Dry Shaping Spray.
You can pull this look off with wet/dry hair, depending on how thick your hair is and how long it usually takes to air dry. Хобби
Just a tip: I have done this before with wet hair and in the morning my hair was still wet. It never dried because it was wrapped around the headband. I hope you find this helpful! :)
oh that's nasty.
Does this work
Just dampen your hair. Don’t wet it.
Natalie Juliet that’s why I blow dry it before I take it out
Dj Ghoul TOUCH you don’t have to be so fucking rude
For those ladies who got their hair caught, make sure you use a head band that's all fabric and doesn't have a rubber backing to keep the band in place.
too late
U have a lovely family.
A few years ago I bought one at Walmart that had a clip on it so in the morning I just pulled it apart and slid my hair right out of it.
I've lost mine, does anybody know where I can find one with the clasp?
I love doing this! If you're looking for more a wavy curl, like the ones you get using a curling wand, try twisting the sections toward your face before wrapping it.
GUYS! This is amazing! I have long thin hair and it worked and I loved it so much!
ME TOO!! For 30 years I’ve been dealing with my thin hair, even with curler it never lasts for an hour! But with this technique, it lasted all day long! 🥰
I bought wood 5 years ago that had a class on it. You just pulled a clasp apart in the morning that way you can slide it right out of the curls. Otherwise it's so difficult to unwind your hair.
If anyone knows where they sell the kind with the clasp on it and what they're calling it please let me know ❤️
LOL I've been using this curl my hair for months now it lasts all day and I always get compliments on it.
Always a fan of no heat/trauma to the hair. This is perfect for this busy tired momma of 3. Totally trying this out tonight. Great video. Your look gorgeous. Namaste ♡
My hair were curls. Thank u
I've done this a few times this week as an attempt to find a good way to style my long hair after night showers, especially when I want to avoid waking others with a blow dryer. My technique has not resulted in a look with the headband that is quite as polished as the one in the video but it works great anyway. Only tip is damp hair works with this but wet hair does not dry or set correctly. The results have genuinely been so pretty!! I will definitely continue to use this method.
I have hair that typically doesn't hold any type of curl, but I've done this every day this week and it has worked pretty miraculously well. I wash and blow-dry my hair and wrap it up right before bed completely dry and it holds all day. I've gotten a ton of compliments on it too. It's awesome!
Try sea salt spray on dry hair, curl and sleep. Works everytime for me:) Love this!!
What are some good brands affordable?
This is suddenly popping up all over RUclips, and it's been 6 years.
In 2020 they are 8😂
As a person who wants to curl up the hair just for the sake of holding the hair up, this is very helpful as any common hairbands easily slip off and loosened, defeated by silky straight hair. Getting a curl by this process is a bonus point and most importantly the process does not appear hideous unlike having mini rolls all over the head
I tried this last night and it is amazing! I was pretty skeptical that it would actually work and that the band would stay in over night. My hair is a few centimetres shorter and a lot thicker, and the finished result looks like big retro curls. sprayed with a little hairspray and it's held all day. Really impressed - definitely worth trying!
When i had thinner shorter hair it didnt work but it did worked when my hair became thicker and longer and also (best work when hair is unwashed/unshampooed that day) because i found that the natural oils in my hair kept my curls longer lasting and less tangled
Germaine Lim any tricks you done in getting hair thicker?
I have very think and very long hair so I do mine in two sections. Basically I pull up the top half of my hair into a clip and doe the headband trick to the bottom part of my hair first. Then I repeat with the rest of my hair. If you use a comb to smooth each section each time you wrap it around you will have better results with less tangles. I also have to start with damp hair because if it's really wet it will never dry by morning.
How do you take off the head band
Ileana Serrano you do the steps backwards. Slowly work your hair out from around the headband. At least, that's what I did.
We're so happy to hear that this technique created beautiful and long-lasting curls for your sister's special day! Thanks for sharing the great news with us.
This is amazing!! I used a super thin headband, and me hair turnied out a little frizzy, but still ringlet curls!! Use a thicker headband for bigger curls!!
1) all my hair didn't fit
2) I thought just yanking the band would work wonders. ( let me tell ya, it worked wonders ripping my hair off ) 😂😒
Bighead Lala use two hand bands! One for each side of your head!
Bighead Lala same your so right
Or use 2 headbands, one for top section, one for bottom
Same...
A few years ago I bought one at Walmart that had a clasp on it. So in the morning you pull the clip open and slide your curls right out. This way of having to unwind it is time consuming and would pull your hair out.
Does anyone know where I can find one of these with the clip on it? If so what are they calling it? Thank you
got mine in a real tangle when taking my hair out of the band had to cut a lot of the hair
use a knee high sock
thanks :)
+jhn cvbeauty How? Do u just tie the ends of a sock and use it as a headband?
you could have just cut the head band lmao
Love this trick, the hairdo with the band looks even pretty to go to work if you add some ornaments to it like a little flower. I use a thin elastic band and looks really cool. Thanks a lot for sharing this !!!!
It works both ways. I always used to do it with with wet hair, and add mousse so it held in well and the results were really good!
I did it an I had straight hair at the top and then BOOM crazy curls
does this work better on second day hair?
I've tried on the 4th day and It does not work.
***** It depends on your hair type.
+Emma 333 why do you care?
Finger combing instead of using a brush is so key to preserve the bounce and shape of curls. Great tips, thanks for sharing!
Thank you sooooo much! For everyone who have been looking for the perfect curling method like me, this one totally is the best! My curls looked gorgeous and professional after putting anti-frizz! Thanks!!
can you do this with thick hair?
I have very think and very long hair so I do mine in two sections. Basically I pull up the top half of my hair into a clip and doe the headband trick to the bottom part of my hair first. Then I repeat with the rest of my hair. If you use a comb to smooth each section each time you wrap it around you will have better results with less tangles. HTJK yes but it’s harder
NO
Trust me, no.
Yes it worked but for that in my case i had to wet my hair
And, if your hair gets tangled with the headband you did something wrong or u were not patient.
it s just normal. mine would get stuck and i m sure about it
No i done exactly what it said and trust me it took a lot of my patience but still knotted really bad
Not only it makes wonderful hair, it's also so much more comfortable than sleeping in rollers... And the hair stays curled whole day... Simply amazing, you deserve a Nobel Prize for this :-D
I use a really thin stretchy headband, and I always twist the hair as I do it. It's actually a pretty cool hairstyle for formal summer stuff if you weave in flowers, and make sure to use a headband close to your own haircolour for formal.
I THINK ITS FAKE:1
It's not
It is 99 present
Hah I look so stupid!
Neymarific And InMessionate yeah I wore my hair in a bun it seems like this caters to long white hair
O yeah! 👍✌
I don't look good in ponytails is it cuz my hair is too frizzy
Soooo I'm back! I tried it out with dry hair for my sisters wedding.! I showered in the morning and I left it in all day, by the time I took it out, it needed very little touch up to look "fancier" you can say but OMG! My curls lasted allllll night and that never ever ever happens!. Thank you :)
I have thick coarse hair I’m African American and my hair is shoulder length headband curl my hair every other night and I love the results the curls look natural and as they fall they are even cuter!
This works so good even with thick hair! And ts so easy! Thank You Soo Much!
So glad to hear this turned out well on your hair! Thanks for sharing your experience.
Hi there, a few years ago I purchased a headband that had a clasp on it. It was great because in the morning you just pull the clasp open and slide your hair out. Much quicker and no pain.
Do you know where I can find one with a clasp on it and what it's called has anybody contacted you about this? Thank you
I rlly like this method. I used to use rollers with pins. Rollers are so uncomfortable to sleep in,and the pins felt like needles on my head. The rollers curls don't even last tue whole day. This method is so much easier and more comfortable to sleep in. The rollers take too long to put on, because I have very thick hair. The headband curls were rlly pretty, and stayed in all day!
Omg.It totally worked. I love my curls. Thank you!
It really does work, I do it in the morning with my hair semi-dry and leave it for 1/2 hr to 45 min. Take the headband out and shake. I have shorter hair so I secure the loops around the headband with bobby pins.
I tried this once and it worked so well! Its a little hard to get the headband off but it gives really pretty curls:)
Tried this and it worked great in my hair. I washed my hair, let it dry almost completely and rolled it up. Left it for two hours while I worked around the house and had beautiful loose curls when done. I'm going to try overnight and see how that does.
Tried this last night with my waist length hair, turned out pretty good! Saves me one hr of trying to do it with a curling wand! The ones at the front came out much more like ringlets, whereas the hair at the back were more like loose waves. Still an overall beautiful look though. Didnt have to much trouble getting it out of the headband, took only about 5 mins, just have to go SLOW!
Thanks for this!
Great! It definitely takes some practice to figure out what works with your hair. So happy to hear you're having success with the technique.
I have done it and it became very gorgeous and I love these curls thank you
did mine yesturday, and this morning my curls were amazing :) thanks!
Mine is too but I modified this to make it work for me. You can use a thinner headband, section your hair into smaller sections and pull them a little tighter around the band. In the morning it'll be really crazy and curly when you take of the band but they fall out a little after an hour and look really good :)
pretty nice! its good to kno these methods in case of being in places with no electricity or if you have no heat tools with you
my granma used to show me lots of tricks that women used back in the old days!
Great tip! Instead of using a stretchy headband, opt for a ribbon that can be easily removed in the morning. Really happy that this technique worked on your hair!
I did it and it came out pretty freaking good!!!Thanks!
Great tips, thanks for sharing! Towel-dried damp is what we recommend also.
WOW this is amazing! I will definitely use this next time i curl my hair! THANK YOU
I DID THIS WITH 2 HEADBANDS AND IT GAVE ME CURLS AT THE CROWN OF MY HEAD!!!!! LUV THIS TECHNIQUE X 10!! XOXO
Oh my goodness, you are a genius! I love it. Thank you!
This is great the curls come out beautiful ... So happy with the results!
I've tried it, my hair just looks perfect ! Thank You
Its really easy and I do this the night before school everyday and people always compliment my hair. I love it! :-)
I am going to try this on my naturally coily hair, and then again when it stretched out. I'll make a video response with the results sometime in the near future. I also like the look in the prep stage. I might wear that for a day.
I have relaxed hair n I used to do my hair like this. Love it. Going to start ricking this again.
this is the only way my hair curls up, seriously! thank you so much for this technique!!
She makes it look so easy!
My friend curls her hair like this and it looks gorgeous when she takes it out. She has very long, blonde hair and it really looks beautiful.
I did mine after I took my shower. I let it air dry for a while, then I put it in the headband. I would recommend it to be still damp. This will help you get those fly away hairs in, and when your hair dries it will hold the shape better. Good luck.
Exactly! Only try this with damp hair if it tends to have trouble holding a style.
I Added a hairnet after doing this and worked perfectly :) it helps volume up the hair and holds it while asleep!
I do this every night before bed and my hair looks FAB in the morning!
Why It doesn't work to me :(
I love this I have been using this method for months and I love it
I have really thick and layered hair, and I used 3 head bands; this will give you huge body, but if you use 2 head bands its not as big. I sectioned my hair off as if i were to straighten it. I put bobby pins to hold the head band in place while I sleep. And I also flip the part of the head band that is going over my face to the back of my head, just so I don't have lines on my face when I wake up. Hope this helps.
OMG i absolutley love this! it works. and also i like the way it looks in the headband. :) great
This works so good!
Great tip, towel-dried hair will hold curls better (especially with the added help from styling products).
This is a really good way to curl hair, It even worked on my 4c hair!
Great I would have never thought of that but I like the style with the hair up in the headband I thought it look good like that.
I didnt know you can curl your hair this way until one day i did this to my hair cuz it was hot i did it to keep it up and when i took it off i got cute curls!!
Omg the results look awesome!!
For me this works perfect! I've never used a curling iron again
no problem glad i can help :D and thank YOU ! it worked beautifully !
yup :) mine is, looks awesome
Wow. I tried this. Loved the result.
oh my gosh this looks so easy! im deffinetly going to try it :)
Thanks for sharing your tips! It really is about finding what works best for your hair.
Love it, trying this tomorrow night. Thanks for this vid.
Thank you soooo much for uploading this!! I use it almost everyday. I have short hair, but it needs to be wet for me to do this...
I works for me..while I was in a car traveling for two hours I try this then after we arrive I wear off the headband then it works so nice curls love it..
this is reallly amazing ! effective
Thank you! So glad you found the tutorial helpful.
I remember the first time I did this I wrapped it way to tight and the curls were soo tight! But I got the hang of it and have been doing it ever since
This works REALLY well, I've done it before many times
This worked perfectly for me, thank you!
It worked so good thanks
I tired this, and it actually works. But what I did was sectioned my hair into 3 different layers, and used 3 different headbands. I also used bobby pins on the sides of the head bands so while I slept they wouldn't fall out.
This is great for me, because I work at 4 in the morning, and have no time! Good luck! =)
Thanks for the tips! Does this technique give you a different shape and contour of your curls?
Thank you for making this video ........ my hair turned great!!
haha yeaa totally try this out, i was doing this for a while like three times a week and it looked like i spent AGES on my hair, i would just loosen the curls a bit while the band was in it so the curls are looser when they come out, i think it also makes it easier if you have some layers going on in your hair, unfortunately this method can also be a bit unpredictable for results so not recommended if you can't stand chancing it.
I have tried it, and it really works!
i have done this so many times before and its great
This is .... AMAZING! :) I've been doing ever since I 1st watch this video earlier this week! &the more I do it the better its coming out; only thing I wish it was a neater way to remove the headband but SERIOUSLY I LOVE THIS! perfect for MY Life hahaha no really *THANKS*
I did this and it totally worked...gonna do this again for tomorrows hairstyle! :D
It's a great hairstyle for the 20's look, if you wear the right color band!
Awesome! Any tips you can share to help other peeps trying this technique?
This works so amazingly well. :)
Wow! I am going to try this!
True. Give this technique a try and get the curls you want without any damage from heat styling.
