- We're hearing jailhouse calls between the former brother-in-law and mother-in-law of murdered FSU professor Dan Markel.
In recorded phone calls obtained by ABC News, Donna Adelson can be heard speaking with her son after Charles was convicted and before she was taken into custody herself in connection to the murder-for-hire plot.

And she tells Harvey “we will do it together’. There’s no way she’s telling Charles who is in jail that ‘we will do it together’ because theres no way that she and Charles would be able to commit suicide together. Not only did she orchestrate the murder of Dan but now she’s trying to convince her husband to commit suicide with her. How would you like to be married to or have that for a mother and grandmother? While I would never kill an in-law or have one killed, there is zero way that I would ever put my life on the line to get rid of my siblings ex. There is absolutely no way that Wendi didn't know. She drove near the house the day of the murder. If I were Charlie and I see that I will be spending the rest of my life in jail and my mom is only worried about Wendi being taken care of, I would be full choir, orchestra in the background fat lady singing. I think mom is the ring leader but no way I would rot in jail while Wendi gets to live her life in comfort.

Charlie coordinated and (likely) paid for the murder, so it’s unlikely Charlie would be offered a deal to testify against Wendi that would result in Charlie’s release from prison.
You make an excellent point. Mom was on her way to Vietnam and she is worried about Wendy inheriting her assets, but no one seems to be worried about Charlie rotting in prison. He definitely deserves to be there, but everyone else in the family was just worried about themselves.

People who are obsessed with other people even if it's a relative need to understand how insignificant the desire to be with that person will become once they commit murder to have that person in their life. I've seen so many true crime shows in which someone was in love with a person and made the decision to kill that persons husband or wife so that they can be with that person. They are simply looking at the situation through one single lens, if the person who is separating me from the person I want to be with is dead then me and that person will live happily ever after together. Subsequently once they are charged with murder they aren't thinking about the love they have for that person, they become so desperate they then accuse the person they loved so much to the extent they killed for that person, as the one that committed the murder to try and escape from life in prison without parole. The only instance of a person in which you truly could not live without would be if you were born a Siamese twin with one main artery that both of you share attached to your head, that is the only person on this Earth that you cannot live without!

There is no regret, she will be guilting her daughter to make her now bear the blame for the incarceration of her golden child, because after all is said and done she the daughter should have done the deed and the mother would have taken custody of the grandchildren snd her beloved son would be free. How?? How the hell do people not know jailhouse phone calls are recorded?
They know and are warned before each call but people believe that someone has to be actively listening or will have to review hundreds of hours of calls in order to find something, so they think they can get away with it. But actually all law enforcement has to do is type a word into the software and it generates every single time that word was spoken on a call or message, so they can quickly find what they’re looking for.
She was trying to get him to kill himself so she would walk. He is an idiot if he thinks his mother gives a rats ass about what happens to him. She is the only thing that matters in her world and getting what she want by any means necessary
