The thing is, I don’t know if their original kickstarter goal was enough to make a worthy Cuphead successor. Studio MDHR had hand-drawn assets and a soundtrack recorded by a live band. That’s a ton of time and money, so much so that the MDHR guys had to mortgage their houses. That’s what makes the lack of polish stand out that much more. They should’ve used what funding they had to make a compact but well created demo that could’ve secured them more funding
I appreciate your review/commentary on the matter. The first review I've partially seen about this (from uhyeah) felt less constructive and more vitriolic and it left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm glad you left your personal feelings out of it and looked at it objectively.
I mean, you have a right to be outraged when someone is charging the same price as the highly polished game you’re imitating for a messily thrown together product
@@biospark4758 You're right. What threw me off was the presentation of the review. I'm not saying nobody should be upset. I hope the people who paid for this got their money back, at least.
This game is what happens when you jump right into the deep end of the pool without first learning how to swim. Even if the Cuphead DLC renders Enchanted Portals redundant and pointless, there could've been something at least decent buried under all the trash. I forgot this thing even existed until about a week ago when UhYeah took a crack at it and oh, boy, he showed just how much inexperience in game design and duct tape, box tops, and prayers in its stead was shipped out to the gaming market.
I already beat every boss in cuphead and getting S Rank but... this game got me for achievement hunting.... 2x times harder than cuphead because the achievement requires me to beat every boss on *insane mode* 5/10 bonus because only 2 people made this game 6/10 Although the animation is a bit stiff
I'm usually up to give a game a second chance. I trully enjoyed Oceanhorn and really, it isn't a Zelda clone. But Enchanted Portals.. is actually a clone, i didn't paid for it, but it felt like a mobile clone.. While Oceanhorn was its own thing.
I think your bring a little unfair because 1. They failed their fundraiser because everyone hated on so not as many people funded 2. It’s a two person team, Cuphead had more then two people why more at that and 3. Yes there some isssues there are quite a few issues but as I mentioned it’s only a two person team that terribly failed there fundraiser.
Well at least It's unique
No way you’re actually defending this
Unique at being awful, yeah.
💀💀
Uniquely awful lmao
Are you joking? Its a copy of Cuphead it’s not unique

For two people with no money it definitely could have been worse.
Why do I love watching people roast Enchanted Portals so much.
Right
Got this game for my son after warning him that it may “look like Cuphead, but it’s almost certainly not as good as Cuphead.”
I was right.
Why? Cuphead is the same price
@@AdaTheWatcherthis comment kinda implies they already had cuphead
@@eddie-roo fair, I don't think this game deserves money.
I want to see more reviewers talk a little about the patch COME ON
Triangle (the top button) would be the dash in cuphead as well. I play with the default controls and I have no issues with it.

You lost me at yooka laylee being bad. No it really isn't. Is it perfect? Absolutely not. But it is at least well made and fun to explore.
I agree yooka laylee good not amazing but still a fun time just had some dumb parts

Yooka laylee is good
So you mean if we don’t fund a game it’s going to be bad? LE GASP
Im not a game developer but what does money have to do with any of the making of the game unless u wanted to buy audio and assets for example
You can use it to hire some good freelancers
