Final Boss themes from all Xeno games (Gears, Saga & Blade) all ranked in one video. A bit different from the kinds of videos I normally make, but I thought this would be fun to do.

Honestly, the key we've lost is my favorite. X as a whole is underrated.
Update: Future Redeemed's Final Boss theme is titled "Redeem the Future"

I think zanza the divine is good but imo it's not nearly climactic enough to be a good final boss theme Alpha's theme is similar but is actually climactic and feels fitting for a final boss

Zanza the Divine and Alpha the Divine need to be higher up on the list
Well, at this point, it's really hard to say. Every one of those OSTs is stunningly beautiful. To be at the end of this list means still being ahead of most other lists, so there's really nothing to be ashamed of^^
Mad respect for putting Awakening at number 2.
Zanza the Divine is No. 1 for me, the metal combined with the piano makes me so pumped up. Truly an battle against an arrogant god!
I love Despair and Hope too but it's a little too anime for my tastes to be top 1
I never actually really thought about "songs being too anime". Mainly because to me, it's just music.

But considering this is exclusively a Xeno-Franchise list I dont blame you for the tough decisions. Basically all of these are bangers.
Except Roar from Beyond. That sucks.

Xenosaga 2's finale has some dope moments at 10:30 and especially the way it starts at 08:17, but it kind of feels like the rest of the track doesn't fit the tone of those good bits.
As someone who's played every xeno title, i can agree with this ranking :)

Apologies for not putting After Despair and Hope on it, I personally don't see why people like it.
@14:30, the different music had a bigger impact on players in Xenosaga I simply because it was _finally_ a new battle tune. Up to that point, EVERY fight, both regular and boss battles, had been using the same music.
The song was still great, though.
Yeah, on my first playthrough, I was convinced it was just gonna be the regular battle tune again lol
Also, real quick, to those subbing to me from this video, just know that I am in no way a Xeno content creator. I'm a massive fan of the series, but for the kinds of videos I usually make, I have no idea what kind of content to make for this series. I will likely make more, but just know that this series isn't the only series I will be making videos on going forward.
Also, also. Thank you all for the comments on this video. Views never meant that much to me in my years on RUclips (I had many channels back in the day), but I am astounded at how many of you came here to see how I ranked songs from a metaseries. Also, don't be afraid to share your opinions in the comments, I'm not one to argue with opinions, I love seeing different opinions.
Zanza is my favourite, by far.

Currently my favorites are "After Despair And Hope" as well as "Showdown With Z"
I haven't finished Future Redeemed yet so I skipped that part of the vid i want to be surprised especially with how much the community seems to love that final boss theme

I love all of the above and the other ones from Xeno are pretty good’ but I just can’t get myself to like the Torna themes.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (classic) was my favorite game but my favorite final boss is Artifice Aion from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (classic)

Fog King sounds like if somebody tried to make a Kingdom Hearts arrangement of the regular fog beast theme.
Man I wish we would get a remaster of the original xenosaga trilogy. Loved those games. Final battle from 1 should be higher imo 😅
Zanza the Divine #8... ironically enough everything having to do with Xenoblade 1 has become extremely underrated by the Xeno- community lol
xenoblade 1 is still my favourite of the blade games. i do still like both the zanza themes, i just found myself liking the others themes more

Honnestly who consider gort as a final boss at Torna ? No one because Malhos with the Siren fight is such good.
Okay the remix of power of Jin is a nice benefit of this fight.
Thats kinda why i added both. Gort is basically a final boss but Malos is certainly THE final boss.
Golden Country's final fight and the use of After Despair and Hope makes it feel like that you actually have a chance to win, to spare Torna from destruction and change history for the better. But that just makes the inevitable catastrophe sting that much more.

I would like to put "Alpha, the Divine End" in the description, but as far as I know, it's not confirmed to be the actual name . I like sticking to official names and such. We'll see once the soundtrack releases next month.

Where’s Godsibb? I honestly consider it more of the final boss theme than Promised Pain, though that one isn’t bad by any mean
I only considered the actual final battles of the games including secondary phases and paired fights. Although if Godsibb were a final boss track, it'd be number 1.
What a very odd ranking. I respect it but I’d definitely put Xenosaga 2s final boss theme and Urobulus’ theme at the very bottom and move everything else up a slot or two. I do agree though that despair and hope >>> Zanza by a comfy amount
Albedo's theme grew on me a little over time. Urobolus is atmospherically really nice.
@@cyconical Albedo's theme isn't bad but honestly it's kinda lame, The DS version of Xenosaga 1+2 has it's own boss theme and Albedo is a much cooler final boss with a better them.
Wai t why is The God slaying sword so low , it is like on of the best ones out them all . Sure it takes a bit for it to trully start but after that it is amazing .
I think the buildup and energy from the vocals are great at the start, it's genuinely the rest of the song after that that loses me honestly. Still a good song, it's just not something I'd listen to very much at all.

I'm personally not a fan of Xenoblade 2's final boss theme. When the counterattack motif hits it's great, but the rest really doesn't do it for me. I honestly even prefer the fog king theme over it. It has a nice sense of suspense and is menacing. It's weird that everyone hates it lol

Hate to be the negative Nancy who goes and says "Well actually", but Xenogears is owned exclusively by Square Enix, not Monolith Soft or Nintendo. So it might be a good idea to update the copyright info in the description.

Controversal opinion, XC2 final boss theme is super mid
the only controversial part of this comment (well, controversial for me anyways) is that you used THAT word.

Man I love after hope and despair, the music just cries finality. I wish Z’s theme had a bit more ‘oomph’ imo it’s easily the weakest out of all of the “-blade’s” final boss music
Yeah, Z's theme is a little mediocre by comparison. It's saved by how well the guitar compliments the other instruments in the final phase. I do like phase 1's part more than most which is partly why it's ranked as high as it is.
future redeemed is the best even if my favourite game is xenogears

i still don't think it's as good as the original 'Godsibb', but Alpha's theme feels like a lot more of a fleshed out version than Zanza did. Zanza kinda feels a very inferior to both of them lol

I can try to make an argument on why certain themes should be in different spots, but I have to say I absolutely agree with Roar From Beyond being at the bottom. It's not terrible for the most part, but then... 3:12 - 3:36. I don't know what to make of this section. It's just... No.

How tf is Promised Pain so low man
Ok I need to call bullshit, god slaying sword should be waaaay higher. bare *minimum* it should be above the xenosaga 2 final boss theme. Though of course the REAL finale to saga 2 was omega, the albedo fight was more just cleanup. Same kind of applies to Our paths may never cross where they put all the energy into the malos fight.
God-slaying sword loses itself for me after the initial start. Also omega is too good to be in saga 2 so its in saga 3 instead, and still not the final fight.
Well I have learned one thing from this list. The companies behind these games don't know how to do final boss music (well at least until XC3). The music is either trash, too upbeat and energetic or just too joyful sounding. You want good final boss music you should go to Transformers Devastation, Transformers War For Cybertron, Transformers Fall of Cybertron, the Doom games, Star Wars games (even if sometimes the final boss music is nothing but Vader's theme), and others.

@@deborabarreto8355 The ones I call trash are blah and soulless. Their isn't any actual effort put into them and I mainly refer to the songs from XC1 and the XG games with the term trash.

Some of these songs are better with context like the one who bares fangs at god and our paths may never cross,,but some of these are trash like roar from the beyond and the definitive editions of the xc1 final boss themes(the original versions are much better)

It's a sin that it isn't ranked *even higher*. Phase 2 of Showdown with Z (when that guitar kicks in) is probably the best minute in all of Xeno-soundtrack history.

i think my top 2 are Future Redeemed and the Malos fight in Torna. Both just go way too hard. Also thought the music in base XBC3 vs. Z was pretty weak relative to Xeno standards.
Putting Z’s theme above Zanza the Divine is actually a crime. Zanza the Divine is so much better, I think you mixed up the positions

Agreed the only one who can beat Zanza's for me in perhaps Aion but its hard to decide.
Strange lists some of the songs on here that are higher up do not deserve it from a musical standpoint. Xenoblade x has very basic compositions. The same with some of xeno 2’s music. Xeno 1 and 3 have the best music in the series. Didn’t care for 2 or X. Still love the series tho but the list is wild 😆
I think you made the right choice in your number 1. Outstanding, Xenoblade 2 is. My favorite Xeno, but I love them all. Beat em all too. Can’t wait for the next one!😊
Why are Deus and Krelian’s themes from Gears both included? Unless it’s not 1 per game?
Krelian's theme is essenitally phase 2 of Deus while still being its own fight. Urobolos is the final fight of the game, but Deus acts more like the final boss. It made sense to include both.
@@cyconical Yeah, okay. It does feel that way. The fight against Krelian and Urobolus feels like the fight against Sin and Yu Yevon in FFX. You can’t really lose unless you’re actively trying.
