To be fair, being a neuroscientist and being awesome at calculus don't necessarily go hand-in-hand. It depends on the kind of neuroscience being done, so her "Well DUH" tone is a bit naive in that respect. Also, Bialik has said some *really* dumb things in her time, so suggesting that she is a genius might be a bit of a stretch. She certainly isn't great at staying in her lane when talking about certain scientific topics outside of her actual area of expertise.
But now I've gone and perhaps overanalyzed things. Ah, well 🤷♂️

In that respect, Bialik was trying too hard to be cute (and I mean "cute" in the pejorative sense) and clap back at the guy talking to her. It reeks of a bit of insecurity, to be honest.
That said, some neuroscientists do know a solid bit of calculus. Electrophysiology experts who have to deal with a lot of signal transduction work will likely encounter more math than someone doing more "gross" whole-body human subjects studies, for instance. Same goes for neuroscientists who focus on neuromuscular function and biomechanics. Playing with waveforms or physics calculations all day will require a decent amount of calculus (in specific, applied ways at least).
