I think the most intriguing theory is that Dragon is Rock's son and not Garp's, that's why they don't look alike, Garp took dragon under him after the defeat of Rocks.. Luffy is Dragon's son with Garp's daughter.. Dragon took on Garp's family name to hide his identity similar to Ace hiding his.

I honestly really like the idea of Rocks being somewhat of an anti-hero. An Image I've conjured in my head is that Rocks knew what the celestial dragons were up to and decided to get their loot and also kill them to start a war with the world government, then Roger had to kill Rocks with the help of Garp because Roger knew that they were too early to start plans of taking down the government.
Yeah, but god valley happend like 13 years before Roger made it to laugh tale and found out about the prophecy. Personally, I think at the time of the God Valley Incident, Rocks knew way more about the world government than basically everyone else and had way deeper motivations that just being a BBEG.

Cool theory but i think it’s more likely dragon is actually rocks son and maybe Luffys mom is garps daughter and dragon just took the monkey name to hide his true identity. And it would kinda patellar garp watching over ace rogers son
One thing that would be cool if this ends up being the case or even the case that Rocks is the grandfather of Luffy is that Garp would of ultimately been "Raising" both the son of the pirate king and the son of the most notorious criminal in tandem, and I think that'd be kind of neat.
I actually really enjoyed this theory. It made me hope Oda goes in this direction. I will be back here for the big reveal when it happens in the story, that's for sure!
I don’t think you mentioned this during the video, but this is crazy to me that it adds to your theory even more. Not sure if I’m spelling it right, but Scwarg’s betrayal in the Paramount War greatly adds to this theory. He was tricked by Akaiinu using information so old that only someone who had such insider information could take advantage of.
This would also lead into why Garp was so adamant that all of his "sons" go to the Marines. If his brother was one of the worst pirates in the world. Another reason why he would be willing to team up with Roger to fight Rocks. It was a family matter.

In regards to Sakazuki's links to Dragon I believe that Sakazuki was raised by Garp's right-hand Bogard and I think that Dragon worked in the Naval Internal Affairs division which is why he became disaffected with the marines so quickly.
There is absolutely a strong chance they are biologically related if they arent the same person. I have also wanted to make a connection between Luffy’s Brazilian roots to Roche the Brazilian but you have so many other supporting points that creates a nice evidence board!

In the heat of the moment a enemy ofvthe marines is still a enemy regardless of ideals. Maybe at the time garp ran into dragon it was a few mins of exchanging thoughts before putting on a act.

So Rocks was at G-valley to fight against the evil world government. Then he was de-aged and joined the MARINES for uh-reasons. Oh and also tricked Garp into thinking he was his son. Then finding out the world government was EVIL he abandoned his post and started the revolutionary army. Why not just go start the revolutionary army directly from G-valley? Oh Akinu has to be de-aged too? If you have to fundamentally change more than one character to shoehorn a theory you may want to reconsider? I don’t know.
While I like some of the points you made, my main issue with this theory is that most of the questions you raised can be answered without Rocks and Dragon being the same person, or the age-age fruit being involved at all. Things like Dragon and Akainu’s relationship and Dragon’s secrecy about his past can be explained with the information we already have. While I agree that the WG probably didn’t report on Rocks’ death because they never confirmed it, I can imagine a couple scenarios where he survives without needing to invent an awakened user of Bonney’s fruit. Your theory about Sakazuki’s name being a reference to his relationship to Dragon could still work without them both being age manipulated. Also, we see Akainu use haki in Marineford, so the latter half about Dragon’s reluctance to fight doesn’t hold up. The scene with Bonny and Akainu can be explained by her being leverage against Kuma, further supported by Akainu’s fight with Kuma. The commonalities between the portrayal of Dragon and Rocks could be an indication that Dragon was directly inspired by Rocks. If Rocks was in fact defending or saving the slaves at God Valley, it would explain Dragon’s deviation from Garp’s influence, since he was sent there as a marine to protect the people hunting those slaves in the first place. It would also add weight to Blackbeard’s constant post-timeskip aggression toward Dragon if they represent opposing sides of Rocks’s legacy. On the topic of Blackbeard, him being Rocks’s son feels like an obvious red herring, and characters like Weevil and Demaro Black might serve as foreshadowing to that. If you combine the idea that Rocks lost his crew but survived god valley with the fact that Blackbeard has two devil fruits, the stronger implication is that Rocks D Xebec lives on in Blackbeard. Loved everything you said, and yeah the whole theory really hinges on the age age fruits power which i knew going into this was going to be a insanely hard sell to get people to agree, but yeah if im completely wrong about everything I definitely think theres a good chance Rocks could have influenced Dragon exactly like you said, If I made the video with that narrative I think it would have been received better lol. And yeah i love the Buggy theory ive heard of that one before and it makes alot of sense especially with their parallels, and I loved the Blackbeard and Dragon dynamic you brought up. I commented this on another comment but for the longest time i wanted to make a theory on Rocks having Brook's devil fruit and when he was killed at God Valley and came back as a soul he couldn't find his body and and to merge his soul with the next body he could find which was Blackbeard, but the timelines dont add up for that too work. I dont find the idea of this theory particularly compelling but it does ask some interesting questions about Dragon's values and where they could stem from. I don't think it means Dragon has a hidden past as a different person entirely. It does mean that Dragon's backstory by itself would answer a lot of questions we still have about the world itself

BROOOO okay, So Dragon being Rocks is a stretch but the real theory people are sleeping on here is Saturn using the age age fruit experiments to somehow overcome his rapid aging once Imus spell had been lifted (if that is the case, which it for sure seems like) He was going behind the World government's back with a whole team from the looks of it (referring to the chapter where we see Saturn ordering a team to move Emeth, the ancient robot). This set of theories does make sense, from a certain point of view… There has to be a massive reason we still know next to nothing about Dragon and his abilities.
I like the theory but a couple of things bugs me, its possible i missed some things : - why is dragon a monkey D if he isn’t truly garp’s son? - why would luffy’s mom be a monkey D if Dragon is already a m D? Wouldn’t that be weird? - if Bonney’s powers only revert people’s physical form, why would Dragon change also his mentality ? (That one might be explained already i’ll check it up)
-So Dragon would have to come up with a whole new identity if he was Rocks, he can't call himself Rocks D. Xebec anymore, and if Garp took him in then he would just use Garp's "Monkey D." name to blend in as his son. - All the D clans arent blood related if thats what you're asking for this one, Ace's mom was a D member and so was Roger, so I think Luffy would parallel Ace in a way. - Bonney's distorted future power changes age and alters appearances, but doesn't change their minds, so Dragon didn't change his mentality from when he was Rocks. Possibly got the opop no mi on GV and personality swapped with someone, maybe imu. But this is a really cool train if thought ! My theory is Dragon and Rocks are related. Yes, Garp mentioned Dragon is his son but maybe he adopted him. Ace Sabo and Luffy consider each other “brothers” but aren’t related. We see a lot of similarities between older characters finding themselves looking over a beloved orphan like Corazon and Law..Kinemon and Momonuske…Whitebeard and Ace. I wouldn’t be surprised , orphanage is a common theme in the show
Didn't dragon tell sabo he was raised in Gao kingdom? He also implied he was from a noble family from the way he related to sabo during that flashback.
to this day i still believe that dragon's face tattoo isn't a tattoo, but a branding. in one piece we've seen two brands: the claw of the celestial dragons and the sun pirates, both turn the skin red and the mark on dragon's face is red, this could also lead to him being the man marked by flames, who rides a dark ship

We got the info about lunarians basically being able to live anywhere and my head just naturally assumed there has to be at least one left in a volcano somewhere, if not still a small tribe. Both of these fractions also have a connection to tattoos, face tattoos in particular.
I think God Valley was 12-13 years before Roger met Oden and Toki, but that would have been really cool idea! Technically Toki could have been at God Valley and time jumped again cause if I remember correctly she was constantly time jumping to escape danger so its possible lol
I have been preaching this theory to friends for the last few years. I however think its much more likely that, Dragon ate a mythical zoan, a hito hito no mi with wind and storm powers HOWEVER his fruit is so powerful, much like the gorosei's that he is almost lost in the will of his fruit when he uses it, even if when he loses himself he is still liberating and rebelling. We've seen it with Luffy, the impel down jailers (to the worst degree) and the gorosei, whom have shown remorse for people while in human form and in demon form or in short time span from changing they despise humans. There are more to devil fruits than people give credit.
Rocks is a more cold and serious luffy but wasn’t understood on what he was trying to do .he was trying to fight for their freedom due to Rodger bieng young not understanding and garp being tricked into it that why it was garp biggest regret but rocks ain’t buggy it took garp and Rodger to take him down and his conquer haki burst was massive he had to be a top tier
A show with million theories, is a show with million unanswered questions, at some point we need to make piece with the fact that Oda is making it up, and everytime he "runs" out of fuel, he insert a shadow figure, or a vague statement to send you off to a wild goose chase. Anime has been on tv for over 20 years, and yet we have nothing except "theories" that keeps us asleep at night because someone cant answer a simple question or confirm it without it being vague.

I feel like this theory would make some more sense with a few tweaks. Like for one maybe Rocks was a distorted future of Dragon, instead of Dragon being a distorted past of Rocks. Then you wouldn’t have to speculate about so much we don’t know. In this theory, Dragon is the biological son of Garp, he was a marine, and disguised himself as Rocks in order to go against the celestial dragons without them knowing who he was. The user of the time time fruit was a member of his crew, which is how he was able to keep up his disguise, until that crew member died on god valley, allowing the devil fruit to reappear and be claimed by the government, eventually reaching Bonney. When the original Tim time fruit user died, Rocks returned to Dragon, and having been defeated at god valley and his entire crew having been killed or abandoned him, he chose to instead establish the revolutionary army and openly oppose the government as himself.

Damn I’m not the only one who think rocks is dragon also. How would dragon know about the god knights and their power? He had to encounter them in action on god valley. If rocks is a new character why is oda hiding him unless it’s gonna be a surprise. Luffy is 19 and a yonko, dragon was 17 at god valley.
One reason I think Oda might be able to pull something like what this video suggests is because he managed to do something similar with Haki already. One Piece started in 1997 and Haki first appeared around 2008ish story wise not lore wise. I personally think that Oda experimented with things in real time with the series. He created Mantra to serve as merely the prototype for what would eventually become Haki overtime. I even think Chopper is experimental character that Oda created to test out variety of things. The three main things that stand out for me: Chopper's Point=Luffy's various Gears Rumble Ball= Various things but the most stand out on being Zoans with more then three forms and Smile Fruits or just Smile in general Monster Point= Devil Fruit Awakenings

You're welcome to your opinion but it is completely shattered from the fact that Kaido mentions Rocks as one of the few people that can defeat him in battle. Instead of placing Big Mom on there he places his old Captain. That should tell you enough how powerful he is and the fact that for now, both garp and Roger had to defeat rocks
- I believe that Dragon (who was probably 17 years old) may had been at God Valley. He may had been influenced by Rocks and decided to leave the Marines. - Since Dragon saw how the government Buster Called God Valley, maybe he said that it was a good thing that the Marines didn't come back to see if there were any evidence of the Void Century and destroyed the books in Ohara because they could had still continued to flattened it out like they did to God Valley. - Maybe that is the reason why Akainu may had hated Dragon (at the age of around 31) because he felt betrayed by him leaving and never forgave him. - Seeing how the government was determined to destroy Ohara, Vegapunk decided to work study more about the Void Century. This was around the same time Dragon was trying to get Vegapunk to join him but Vegapunk refused. -When Dragon formed the Freedom Fighter (with Ivankon,) he didn't have his tattoo even after having Kuma and Ginny and reforming the Freedom Fighter to the Revolutionary Army (22 years before the story line). - In the God Valley Incident, Ivankon was about to eat the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu but stolen by big Mom. That is how Kaido got it (but we still don't know why Big Mom gave it to him). - In the US Army, having 3 Star means you are a Vice Admiral, meaning that there is a possibility that Dragon may had been a Vice Admiral before defecting the World Government. - During first 8 years when Kuma first join the Revolutionary army with (Dragon was around 33 when Kuma joined; the 8 year were the 14 - 22 years before the story line) that is when Dragon had finally gotten his tattoo (you can see it in the chapter when Ginny gets captured, chapter 1097).
Man I’ve not made this kind of argument in a while for Dragon but I’d also not be shocked if it wasn’t Garp’s sword non official cover identity for influencing pirates to fight evil in government whilst he works in government… & then the big shock is Garp being Rocks with the haircut to become Garp where his pirate identity which maybe influenced Roger was all Phony the whole time… thusly Dragon tries to follow Rocks more than his actual dad… but still won’t directly become a pirate… I’m sure it’d be complex and have loads of complex details that way… been a while since I thought of the several ways dragon could be him… Solid ideas in this one man… Though I do think Garp would be a funnier and more shocking reveal that could make so much make WAY more sense of Garp’s choices & behaviours, etc. & approach to kids… But he could be any character that felt like Rocking the proverbial Xebec, so to speak… especially with the gender & timeline swapping powers from some Devilfruits… I just hope it’s as wild as half the crazy ideas I come up with for making Rocks however many other characters in story… But the dragon percentage has increased in my mind again now! I like the Haki Theory part best actually. Supposed this idea is correct; I think that when Dragon uses Haki for the first time in the story its going to literally blow everyone's minds. Rather than being used to KO people its used to free people... somehow hitting a massive chunk of the planet. In this he reflects WB and forces an era where people see their fellow people for what they are (CD as oppressors for instance), That could throw a wrench into every players plan at the cost of his life.

I honestly really like the idea of Rocks being somewhat of an anti-hero.
An Image I've conjured in my head is that Rocks knew what the celestial dragons were up to and decided to get their loot and also kill them to start a war with the world government, then Roger had to kill Rocks with the help of Garp because Roger knew that they were too early to start plans of taking down the government.
Yeah, but god valley happend like 13 years before Roger made it to laugh tale and found out about the prophecy.
Personally, I think at the time of the God Valley Incident, Rocks knew way more about the world government than basically everyone else and had way deeper motivations that just being a BBEG.

One thing that would be cool if this ends up being the case or even the case that Rocks is the grandfather of Luffy is that Garp would of ultimately been "Raising" both the son of the pirate king and the son of the most notorious criminal in tandem, and I think that'd be kind of neat.

While I like some of the points you made, my main issue with this theory is that most of the questions you raised can be answered without Rocks and Dragon being the same person, or the age-age fruit being involved at all. Things like Dragon and Akainu’s relationship and Dragon’s secrecy about his past can be explained with the information we already have. While I agree that the WG probably didn’t report on Rocks’ death because they never confirmed it, I can imagine a couple scenarios where he survives without needing to invent an awakened user of Bonney’s fruit. Your theory about Sakazuki’s name being a reference to his relationship to Dragon could still work without them both being age manipulated. Also, we see Akainu use haki in Marineford, so the latter half about Dragon’s reluctance to fight doesn’t hold up. The scene with Bonny and Akainu can be explained by her being leverage against Kuma, further supported by Akainu’s fight with Kuma. The commonalities between the portrayal of Dragon and Rocks could be an indication that Dragon was directly inspired by Rocks. If Rocks was in fact defending or saving the slaves at God Valley, it would explain Dragon’s deviation from Garp’s influence, since he was sent there as a marine to protect the people hunting those slaves in the first place. It would also add weight to Blackbeard’s constant post-timeskip aggression toward Dragon if they represent opposing sides of Rocks’s legacy. On the topic of Blackbeard, him being Rocks’s son feels like an obvious red herring, and characters like Weevil and Demaro Black might serve as foreshadowing to that. If you combine the idea that Rocks lost his crew but survived god valley with the fact that Blackbeard has two devil fruits, the stronger implication is that Rocks D Xebec lives on in Blackbeard. Loved everything you said, and yeah the whole theory really hinges on the age age fruits power which i knew going into this was going to be a insanely hard sell to get people to agree, but yeah if im completely wrong about everything I definitely think theres a good chance Rocks could have influenced Dragon exactly like you said, If I made the video with that narrative I think it would have been received better lol. And yeah i love the Buggy theory ive heard of that one before and it makes alot of sense especially with their parallels, and I loved the Blackbeard and Dragon dynamic you brought up. I don't think it means Dragon has a hidden past as a different person entirely. It does mean that Dragon's backstory by itself would answer a lot of questions we still have about the world itself

I like the theory but a couple of things bugs me, its possible i missed some things :
- why is dragon a monkey D if he isn’t truly garp’s son?
- why would luffy’s mom be a monkey D if Dragon is already a m D? Wouldn’t that be weird?
- if Bonney’s powers only revert people’s physical form, why would Dragon change also his mentality ? (That one might be explained already i’ll check it up)
-So Dragon would have to come up with a whole new identity if he was Rocks, he can't call himself Rocks D. Xebec anymore, and if Garp took him in then he would just use Garp's "Monkey D." name to blend in as his son.
- All the D clans arent blood related if thats what you're asking for this one, Ace's mom was a D member and so was Roger, so I think Luffy would parallel Ace in a way.
- Bonney's distorted future power changes age and alters appearances, but doesn't change their minds, so Dragon didn't change his mentality from when he was Rocks.

My theory is Dragon and Rocks are related. Yes, Garp mentioned Dragon is his son but maybe he adopted him. Ace Sabo and Luffy consider each other “brothers” but aren’t related. We see a lot of similarities between older characters finding themselves looking over a beloved orphan like Corazon and Law..Kinemon and Momonuske…Whitebeard and Ace. I wouldn’t be surprised , orphanage is a common theme in the show

I have been preaching this theory to friends for the last few years. I however think its much more likely that, Dragon ate a mythical zoan, a hito hito no mi with wind and storm powers HOWEVER his fruit is so powerful, much like the gorosei's that he is almost lost in the will of his fruit when he uses it, even if when he loses himself he is still liberating and rebelling. We've seen it with Luffy, the impel down jailers (to the worst degree) and the gorosei, whom have shown remorse for people while in human form and in demon form or in short time span from changing they despise humans. There are more to devil fruits than people give credit.

A show with million theories, is a show with million unanswered questions, at some point we need to make piece with the fact that Oda is making it up, and everytime he "runs" out of fuel, he insert a shadow figure, or a vague statement to send you off to a wild goose chase. Anime has been on tv for over 20 years, and yet we have nothing except "theories" that keeps us asleep at night because someone cant answer a simple question or confirm it without it being vague.

I feel like this theory would make some more sense with a few tweaks. Like for one maybe Rocks was a distorted future of Dragon, instead of Dragon being a distorted past of Rocks. Then you wouldn’t have to speculate about so much we don’t know. In this theory, Dragon is the biological son of Garp, he was a marine, and disguised himself as Rocks in order to go against the celestial dragons without them knowing who he was. The user of the time time fruit was a member of his crew, which is how he was able to keep up his disguise, until that crew member died on god valley, allowing the devil fruit to reappear and be claimed by the government, eventually reaching Bonney. When the original Tim time fruit user died, Rocks returned to Dragon, and having been defeated at god valley and his entire crew having been killed or abandoned him, he chose to instead establish the revolutionary army and openly oppose the government as himself.
Turning dragon or kuma back doesn't need distorted past. It could just be regular deaging

Damn I’m not the only one who think rocks is dragon also. How would dragon know about the god knights and their power? He had to encounter them in action on god valley. If rocks is a new character why is oda hiding him unless it’s gonna be a surprise. Luffy is 19 and a yonko, dragon was 17 at god valley.
One reason I think Oda might be able to pull something like what this video suggests is because he managed to do something similar with Haki already. One Piece started in 1997 and Haki first appeared around 2008ish story wise not lore wise. I personally think that Oda experimented with things in real time with the series. He created Mantra to serve as merely the prototype for what would eventually become Haki overtime. I even think Chopper is experimental character that Oda created to test out variety of things.
The three main things that stand out for me:
Chopper's Point=Luffy's various Gears
Rumble Ball= Various things but the most stand out on being Zoans with more then three forms and Smile Fruits or just Smile in general

You're welcome to your opinion but it is completely shattered from the fact that Kaido mentions Rocks as one of the few people that can defeat him in battle. Instead of placing Big Mom on there he places his old Captain. That should tell you enough how powerful he is and the fact that for now, both garp and Roger had to defeat rocks
- I believe that Dragon (who was probably 17 years old) may had been at God Valley. He may had been influenced by Rocks and decided to leave the Marines.
- Since Dragon saw how the government Buster Called God Valley, maybe he said that it was a good thing that the Marines didn't come back to see if there were any evidence of the Void Century and destroyed the books in Ohara because they could had still continued to flattened it out like they did to God Valley.
- Maybe that is the reason why Akainu may had hated Dragon (at the age of around 31) because he felt betrayed by him leaving and never forgave him.
- Seeing how the government was determined to destroy Ohara, Vegapunk decided to work study more about the Void Century. This was around the same time Dragon was trying to get Vegapunk to join him but Vegapunk refused.
-When Dragon formed the Freedom Fighter (with Ivankon,) he didn't have his tattoo even after having Kuma and Ginny and reforming the Freedom Fighter to the Revolutionary Army (22 years before the story line).
- In the God Valley Incident, Ivankon was about to eat the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu but stolen by big Mom. That is how Kaido got it (but we still don't know why Big Mom gave it to him).
- In the US Army, having 3 Star means you are a Vice Admiral, meaning that there is a possibility that Dragon may had been a Vice Admiral before defecting the World Government.
- During first 8 years when Kuma first join the Revolutionary army with (Dragon was around 33 when Kuma joined; the 8 year were the 14 - 22 years before the story line) that is when Dragon had finally gotten his tattoo (you can see it in the chapter when Ginny gets captured, chapter 1097).

Though I do think Garp would be a funnier and more shocking reveal that could make so much make WAY more sense of Garp’s choices & behaviours, etc. & approach to kids…
But he could be any character that felt like Rocking the proverbial Xebec, so to speak… especially with the gender & timeline swapping powers from some Devilfruits…
I just hope it’s as wild as half the crazy ideas I come up with for making Rocks however many other characters in story…

I like the Haki Theory part best actually.
Supposed this idea is correct; I think that when Dragon uses Haki for the first time in the story its going to literally blow everyone's minds.
Rather than being used to KO people its used to free people... somehow hitting a massive chunk of the planet.
In this he reflects WB and forces an era where people see their fellow people for what they are (CD as oppressors for instance),
That could throw a wrench into every players plan at the cost of his life.
You didn't address why did Roger consider Rocks as his "arch nemesis" if he was such a good person
Sengoku said that not Roger, and like I said in the video Sengoku is only relying what the news portrayed about Rocks, for all we know Rocks could have been a good guy, look how Sengoku viewed Ace and Luffy, he thinks they are terrible criminals but us as viewers know thats not even close to who they are as people
