100% Garp told Akainu "if you become admiral or fleet admiral, you're gonna have a sad time". Then he did, the curtain was drawn back, he learned about all of the legalized atrocities. The same thing probably happened to Garp and Dragon in the past and broke them. In short, only a broken corrupt person can have a higher leadership position within the Marines. Because of this, I bet Akainu has actually been questioning the corner he's in to the point where yes, he's begun making his own plans for martial law, the power to Rule.
I have enjoyed your theories for a couple weeks now. I thoroughly enjoy your delivery method. My thoughts are. Akainu grew up on beehive. It would fit as he grew up with the worst ppl and that warped his views on pirates. I think kuzan is a rev spy inotva true bb pirate so akainu 2 top enemies are actually friends. I think akainu will create the neo marines as a way to protect his image abd distance himself from the goresei. In japanese garp calls him son but the word he uses can mean son and son in law. Finally. I could see luffys mother being a marine who got close 2 dragon and he got her involved in all this and akainu hates him for it. So hes like snape. Ps any theories on where greenbull and fujitora came from. They just becsme instant admirals
21:25 less like Guy & Kakashi more like Endeavor & All Might ..Akainu couldnt catch up to his rival within the Marines then Dragon just Up & Left his world like All might without a Quirk. He was Furious the #1 spot felt handed to him
Glad someone is on the same page with me thinking that it is still possible that Dragon is not Garp's biological son. Ever since that the Battleship Bags flashback chapter, everyone uses the Garp line "My son became a revolutionary! Damn it!" as concrete proof that they are biological father and son. Given how prevalent the idea of found family is in One Piece and with us having the specific example of Ace calling Garp his grandfather despite their lack of blood relation, it doesn't make much sense to use that statement as irrefutuable proof of a biological connection between Garp and Dragon. Having Dragon being Xebec's son and his wife being Garp's daughter is just too perfect of a narrative set up for us to get information on Xebec's backstory, Dragon's backstory, and Luffy's mom. If Oda actually had goals of ending the story any time soon (5 years or less) you would almost need to do something like this so you can address all of this unexplained lore in one fell swoop.
In some databook, it was said that Dragon was born "as Garp's son" but I would not be surprised if Dragon still ended up being his adopted son. If this does end up being the case, there is going to be some long lost biological daughter shananigians with Garp.
Everyone focuses only on the male side of the Monkey family while it's not unlikely that there was a woman in between. It'd be more original writing if Garp had a daughter who was Luffy's mother. Although I dislike the idea of Xebec being related to Luffy. I like that Dragon married in the family, but he doesn't need any important ancestors.
@@metal87power My guess is whether we like it or not Dragon will have some sort of important ancestors. If not Xebec, maybe one of the Shandians? His tattoo seems to suggest relation to their culture. If his face tattoo isn't meant to be a direct connection to Shandia, I'd be really curious to find out what it is supposed to mean?

Akainu probably has seen his parents getting killed by pirates when he was a little kid. I predict Akainu dying in the end because he will go all out against both pirates and the world government at the same time. He will probably cause huge damage to someone or do something that will than turn out to favor one side (probably marines, aka Sword) before his last breath. And as he dies we will get his sad flashback that will explain why he is who he is.
28:40 The way you pointed out Dragon sharing similarities to Rocks' silhouette reminds me of when Luffy first saw his father's picture, he commented that Dragon looked nothing like him. I always found it strange how Oda drew attention to that.

I've been saying this since he snapped back at the Gorosei and they told him to watch his tongue. I knew and have a better understanding of his sense of justice and the notion that he will do a heel turn in some capacity!
I have something that adds to this Theory, its very small but it helps: In Chapter 957, Fujitora and Akainu discuss about the abolishment of the Shichibukai System. Directly after that, Akainu mentions Big Mom & Kaido teaming up again, to which Fujitora questions the return or Rocks D Xebec to which Akainu follows up saying this: “You don’t need to speak of it like some Legend, Its all reality” Take that how you will but i think this subtle quote definitely adds to the idea that Akainu 100% knows about Rocks as if through personal experience.
JB... Seeing the development on your channel recently really makes me happy. YOU ARE MY FAVORITE ONE PIECE RUclipsR, if not RUclipsr in general. The day you stop posting theories will be a sad day for humanity. I pray that after Oda receives the immortality surgery and Law dies (oops), Bepo eats the fruit and does the surgery on you. Keep up the amazing work. I think I represent a lot of people from the community with this thought.
I would like 2 bounce a theory off you i had. I cant really go into all the details as its hard to do it on youtube comments but essentially. When kid mentioned MMBF law stood up and walked away which robin noted. This tells me law knows who this is and its not good news. So looking at laws life i think i know who it is. Its lami. Laws sister. She died assumingly in a house fire. What if she lived and somehow she ended up in this situation There is more to it. But thats the basis. Lami survived but was horribly burned n law found out years later. But by then it was to late. The issue is she is a woman but again. In wano kaido said he had a son and like 2 chaps later. We met yamato. But given laws reaction and the fact oda tends to do fake outs and we assumed his sister died in a fire i think there might be something here n i think saturn is involved
I have a theory for you joyboy we have seen very little of God valley and of what we know of rox d. But I've been thinking why hasn't luffys mom been brought up by anyone. What if instead of Dragon being Roxs kid what if it was luffys mom. Dragon fell in love with a women who was marked for death by the Marines after her execution he realized the Marines where not the outlet he needed and dropped Luffy off in the east blue to hide him and only kept the connection to garp since no one would question or challenge him to execute or persue Luffy. Edit there is more to this but didn't want to add a short novel.
really great theory , it just like when oda included kuma into luffy’s past, it’s highly likely that we already have a lots of connection between dragon and the events we’ve already seen in the story… we can see the connections to marine Ford more clearly cause it is the biggest marine based arc , he probably have more ties to other arcs that we don’t know yet , big characters roughly at the same age could have connection to him too, i’m so excited to see his flashback.
I just hope rocks being luffys other grandfather is real just because luffy being related to THE hero of the marines and also related to THE villain of the pirates is just so cool
out of all the Rocks lineage theories I like this one the most, it would be a nice twist considering the recent reference to Blackbeard's lineage in the manga since most people probably assume its BB that has blood relations to Rocks
The Rocks stuff and Dragon leaving becoming the "Worlds Worst Criminal" etc. could add a lot of explanation as to why Garp was so pushy for Luffy NOT to follow in his footsteps and become a marine instead. He "failed" with dragon, he "failed" with Ace, and he doesn't want to see the same things happen to Luffy. It's a complete opposite too with his position of "freedom" and probably hurt him a lot to try to and force someone to do something they don't want to do but like he said in the live action "I've always known what you are Luffy, I just had to be sure you knew it too" (quote is probably a bit wrong but you get the point) he just cares so much that he wants them to be 100% sure in the choices they make and not regret anything, as such he has technically not failed any of them. He succeeded in raising children who wouldn't fail at being themselves.
Following suit to the tinfoil hat theory. If the timeline makes sense, what if Dragon was born from the egg on Rogers boat, so Roger entrusted Garp with Ace and the Dragon Egg. Which is why they named him Dragon cuz he came from the egg.
Though.. in a way Akainu's stance in the marines is somewhat over the top and contradictory if you look to closely at it. Almost as though he is following the path of his justice very obviously while deliberatly ignoring everything that gose against it. but what if that's the point. If the revolutinaries do want to take down the Celestial dragons, the marines must accept the eventual outcome. the marines must be in a position to step in to fill their gap and insure justice is upheld. Akainnu and Dragon are two sides of the same coin. but they are Still the same coin. What if they are working on seperate sides of the coin? One works to remove the celestial dragons. the other works to take over the marines in a way that the Celestial dragons dont notice, to prepare a foundation of stability after the revolution succeeds. Or as a back up plan if the revolution fails.
No man I appreciate the thoughts you put out there literally its "out there". Idk looking at Garp and Luffy they seem too biologically similarly especially kid Garp and even young adult Garp and Luffy look exactly alike (that may just be Oda's art style though 😅) Also I'm writing own books and analyzing different character traits and stuff. Even if I did write it all I still wouldn't even know how to publish it. So its neat you did it 👍
Dragon not being Garp's biological son was an old theory of mine which simply came from how Garp introduced Dragon to Luffy. The way he said, "your father" rather than my son stood out to me back then. But any case thinking about it now. It still makes sense. At this point to me, Oda is pretty much allergic to write a normal blood relationship between parent and a child. It's almost always an adoptive parent instead of blood relative that becomes the real parent. This happening once or twice wouldn't be striking, since it contains all the positive message. But in One Piece it happens far too many times. Meanwhile the actual blood relations range from non-existent to bad. But still. Dragon and Garp relationship aside, Dragon being son of Rocks is quite a cool theory I never heard before.
Taking this video as another of those philosophical talks, the triangle is very interesting; I also think it's moveable: we are mobile within them. Like some of Kuzan's actions where he leans for justice, or for freedom, and maybe Kizaru would do something on Egghead... I believe that Sakazuki was adopted by Garp's assistant Bogard based off American actor Humphrey Bogart and Sakazuki speaks with a Hiroshima accent is the closest thing to American accent and I believe Sakazuki's fixation on enemies embedding themselves in the Navy stems from him working in the Internal Affairs divison and Dragon used to work in that unit too but he became disilluioned and quit the marines.

@@Ben-iz9ud People like you would rather ignore Garp's wife, just to show how pathetic you are
Thank you for your hard work JB! Listened to this to fall asleep last night and im back to actually finish the video 😅
This was great work! Tied those two characters together so nicely. More to come though with them so it's only going to improve.
Another great video, tin foil or not. I appreciate the amount of deep thought you put in.
My pleasure!
Love it great videos as always I'm always immersed and looking forward to what your theories are !!!
The best stories are about families: Dragon ball. Dune. Star Wars. Back to the Future. Once Piece.
Let it sink.
Also, amazing editing.
I have enjoyed your theories for a couple weeks now. I thoroughly enjoy your delivery method. But specifically in this video although it might have been drawn out I seriously appreciated the in depth analysis of Justice vs Order vs Freedom and the implications of that on the story and from a philosophical perspective
I've played this video so many times because the way you tell the story of Dragon and Akainu is incredible.
This is an exceptionally well-made video. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Another banger!! I love this entire video. I feel like I need a cigarette. I don't even smoke
You always bring such context and design with your videos and theories I most always find myself drawn in.
A pleasure to listen to you JB, thanks for another great video!
Love these videos bro 🔥🔥
I want to do a fuji theory tbh
Would love to see Akainu being from Beehive...
Superb philosophical breakdown, this would get an A in my class. Really well thought out
JB with with a mid day banger 🔥
Amazing way of editting .u made ur theories with it to be far more interesting .keep going
10:09 There it is folks, Akainu’s whole backstory:
“Tell me! What did pirates ever do to you?!”
.
.
Sakazuki, “Absolutely nothing.”
looking at akainus drawing of when he was a child something definitely did happen to him
21:25 less like Guy & Kakashi more like Endeavor & All Might ..Akainu couldnt catch up to his rival within the Marines then Dragon just Up & Left his world like All might without a Quirk. He was Furious the #1 spot felt handed to him
Was the thousand sunny foreshadowing of Luffy's awakening? Just thought about it.
Of course.
That 3 point diagram was immaculate
It's so nice to see the Old JoyBoy "Theories" Back!
I love your theories and I hope Oda is as deep a thinker about his characters and his story as you are.
Thank you for this video!
Hearing the DBZ tune 5 ish mins in took me back to watching the Garlic Jr saga as a kid in 2000 and I thank you for that
Glad someone is on the same page with me thinking that it is still possible that Dragon is not Garp's biological son.
@@cyperpunkbanshee5233
**in waltzes the Crocomom theory**
Broooo another banger! I was never a fan of the Dragon is Rock’s son theory but when you cook it up like this I’m all in! Also the triangle of order, justice, and freedom is 🔥🔥🔥 We appreciate you JB
Yeah I kinda surprised myself with how well that worked lmao

The area zero music from Pokemon scarlet and violet is perfect theory music! 👏🏼
Lets go JB ❤🎉
Fun video. The relationship between Dragon and Sakazuki is something I absolutely need to see elaborated eventually. Also I love the Area Zero music being used :D
Luffys hair when he first went 5th gear looked vaguely like rocks hair
Joy boy you r the best I love you videos so much you said in a video sorry guys it took me so long get in the point and it's not the first time you said it I love so much your videos and don't think you need to apologizing it's part of your magic the . You can talk a long as you want it's part of your magic I always go to a spiritual journey man thank you I think you don't need to change instead of apologizing in something like this because it's part of part of who you are and how do you like to do art and I think your art is amazing be yourself be free stop apologizing the way you do your videos and again I appreciate you man I love your videos so I just listened to them to Blackbeard one to and shnks is the best videos out there about one piece and I don't remember how many many time I watch it
I’ve always thought dragon may be rocks son based on the silhouette and how similar they look
I think fujitora would be a great example of the middle ground for freedom and justice.
i think its gonna be like koby and helmeppo, koby is dragon and helmeppo is akainu, helmeppo kinda tried to kill an innocent guy like akainu, and koby wants true justice. Also, i think yassop and blackbeard are brothers, or usopp is related to blackbeard, they both got some parallels like cowards, long noses and so on
Akainu probably has seen his parents getting killed by pirates when he was a little kid.
28:40
The way you pointed out Dragon sharing similarities to Rocks' silhouette reminds me of when Luffy first saw his father's picture, he commented that Dragon looked nothing like him. I always found it strange how Oda drew attention to that.
Your triangle Marine scale is absolutely genius and in my opinion, spot on.
Love the RuneScape background music. Makes me want to play again
You killed it with the dragon is xebecs son theory. It connects all the puzzle pieces perfectly. Keep dropping ur theories JB!!! Ur logic is sound af!!!
Maybe you can do some more content on Rocks
I've been saying this since he snapped back at the Gorosei and they told him to watch his tongue. I knew and have a better understanding of his sense of justice and the notion that he will do a heel turn in some capacity!
Amazing theory JB! Luffy’s lineage makes so much more sense the way you put it, let’s see how Oda plays this!
I have something that adds to this Theory, its very small but it helps:
In Chapter 957, Fujitora and Akainu discuss about the abolishment of the Shichibukai System. Directly after that, Akainu mentions Big Mom & Kaido teaming up again, to which Fujitora questions the return or Rocks D Xebec to which Akainu follows up saying this: “You don’t need to speak of it like some Legend, Its all reality”
Take that how you will but i think this subtle quote definitely adds to the idea that Akainu 100% knows about Rocks as if through personal experience.
perfect add
Don’t let the haters get to you man I love your theories
I always felt the Blackbeard vs RA clash was odd, it’s gunna get fleshed out for sure if dragon is xebecs son now that Blackbeard has Garp
What if she lived and somehow she ended up in this situation
There is more to it.
I personally don't think so, but what a wild twist that would be...
Edit there is more to this but didn't want to add a short novel.
would be awesome that way too!
really great theory , it just like when oda included kuma into luffy’s past, it’s highly likely that we already have a lots of connection between dragon and the events we’ve already seen in the story… we can see the connections to marine Ford more clearly cause it is the biggest marine based arc , he probably have more ties to other arcs that we don’t know yet , big characters roughly at the same age could have connection to him too, i’m so excited to see his flashback.
I just hope rocks being luffys other grandfather is real just because luffy being related to THE hero of the marines and also related to THE villain of the pirates is just so cool
I know its Oda story but this has to be in OP
The triangle was super interesting! That and the xebec connection
Yoooo joyboy
Such a great analysis with the triangle. Wow
29:12
Sooo maybe Dragon is the treasure the Celestial Dragons stole back then and thats why Rocks chased them down
Joyboy theories theory!! Finally!!
out of all the Rocks lineage theories I like this one the most, it would be a nice twist considering the recent reference to Blackbeard's lineage in the manga since most people probably assume its BB that has blood relations to Rocks
Idk looking at Garp and Luffy they seem too biologically similarly especially kid Garp and even young adult Garp and Luffy look exactly alike (that may just be Oda's art style though 😅)
Also I'm writing own books and analyzing different character traits and stuff.
26:08 naaaaaaaaah he doing Crocodile dirty 😂😂😂
Taking this video as another of those philosophical talks, the triangle is very interesting; I also think it's moveable: we are mobile within them. Like some of Kuzan's actions where he leans for justice, or for freedom, and maybe Kizaru would do something on Egghead...
We have a center, and the most interesting thing happens when we move away from it
absolutely, people change.
2 vids in a couple of days!get in there mate! Akainu is basically what we'd call an (Old Boy) it's a term used in boarding school, after leaving and finishing school, or being promoted to a prefect, you stop wearing a (basher which is a strawhat! or school cap. Then for the one's who have left usually wear their old uniform I.e blazer, cap etc
Sun Wukong the monkey king was born from a rock, Monkey D. Luffy the king of the pirates comes from a lineage of 'Rocks'? Certainly some interesting things being said here.
I love all the Bao the whale references everywhere now, make sense she was hilarious before and now that we've seen her...👀
WIPER, AKAINU, HORDY got something in common based on what you said about Hordy and Akainu being blind to what they follow. Wiper was programed by his Elders just like Hordy was programed by the actions of Arlong. We gotta see who programed Akainu
Akainu facing Sunset(west) while Dragon looks east
Dusk vs Dawn
I believe that Sakazuki was adopted by Garp's assistant Bogard based off American actor Humphrey Bogart and Sakazuki speaks with a Hiroshima accent is the closest thing to American accent and I believe Sakazuki's fixation on enemies embedding themselves in the Navy stems from him working in the Internal Affairs divison and Dragon used to work in that unit too but he became disilluioned and quit the marines.
One piece hype for life great 👍🏻 video nice 👍🏻 hype!!!!!!!!!
