From one Nathan to another, I love your videos man. I bought a 64 vert 5 months and doing a total resto on. But thanks to you in now a master rebuilder of seat rails and the mechanisms, window motors....I just need to start on learning about the top. I'm a few months behind your build on that black one you have. Do you have more videos or pictures or info on the teardown and build of that one? I'm pretty much gonna do the exact same things to mine. Thanks
Nathan, as owner for over 30 years of a '61 convert., I recently rebuilt the 430 MEL, trans. and installed disc brakes. Upon further inspection I found that within the rear axle the spider gears should be replaced, having numerous chunks missing. I contacted Yukon gears and to their knowledge no spider gears are being manufactured or are available. What is your recommendation for a replacement rear axle or if possible a source for the original style spider gears? I have to think used parts in this area might be asking for more failure in the short term. Thanks for the interesting videos.
