    The Sinquefield Cup sees Magnus Carlsen and 11 more of the world's best players compete in the Saint Louis Chess Club from 17-28 August 2019. The event is the fifth leg of the 2019 Grand Chess Tour. In addition to tour points the prize fund is $325,000, with $90,000 for 1st place.
    Players receive 130 minutes for the entire game, with a 30-second delay from move 1. A tie for first place will be decided in a 2-game rapid mini-match (10 min + 5 sec delay), in case of just two tied players, and if necessary an Armageddon game (5 vs. 4) on 29 August at 13:00 local time. What's fianchetto again?

    • @TechToppers
      @TechToppers 5 лет назад +1

      Fianchetto occurs when your LIGHT squared or Dark squared Bishop covers the long diagonal of h1 to a8 while sitting on g2 and the a1 to h8 diagonal while sitting on b2.
      Same is for black, you can use g7 and b7 square to fianchetto your Bishop.
      Queen is not believed to stong as it can be easily attacked by Bishops and sometimes won't help in giving sacrifices to open lines for attack.
      Bishops are stronger than Queen for fianchetto.

    • @andrujo
      @andrujo 4 года назад

      @@joshual4513 he can if he already set up the other known games that reached that given position in sites like chessgames and similar.
      I know he does makes most videos pretty fast but then again, you have to pay attention to see if those videos that come out more quickly do include these mentions Antonio does from memory (or with a second monitor).
      Don't get me wrong. I don't doubt he does some mentions by memory, but I do know it's impossible that every time he says "And as of move #N we have a completely new game", that he recalls from memory all other games that ever reached some position, the names of the players and the date of the match. And *that's* why I said what I said. By I don't object in he having a good memory for opening theory. And absolutely don't object GM's got even more.

    It is nice that the passed pawn on A7 already was passed before the player with black pushed it twice10 moves before resigning. Passed pawns must be pushed :), do not hesitate to pass a passed pawn :) Yes i know the definition.
    Regarding the basic chess structures, in the "monster wall" video where the king and bishop created a 5 field wall in front of enemy king Antonio nicely explained that it is enough to create a 3 field wall in front of an enemy king to be able to threaten the backrank mate :)

    I am an excellent picker of Queens. Found Qb7
    Apparently I am also an excellent checker with Knights. Found Kf6

    I'm surprised we didn't see Nc6 Rxc8, Nxa5 Rxc1. With the closed position and the large number of pawns remaining, I would expect a queen to be preferable to two rooks...

    5:34 knight to c6 is a better move than pawn to f4 , isn't it ?

      Agadmator blunders the sound in almost every video :D (he forgets to turn the computer audio off so its feeding into the mic making the moves louder, or so i guess.. however its not very noticeable for us viewers)
