Prince wrote a Couple decent songs and maybe one or two good ones. If that makes him "God's gift" to the record company's or Club owners, great! It doesn't make "me a fan", because I like better music and am Not an"all day Sucker, for popstars

He was 100% real and in the end I think that's what tied everything together. He never said, sang, promoted, or pretended to be for or about the things he didn't believe in but what values he upheld he definitely fought for tooth and nail. What a great soul, he will be missed.

This man was the real deal! Always upfront and steadfast in his believes. Loved and promoted God, with no fear or care about society's opinion. He never gave a damn about anyone's opinion of him. Even through constant ridicule, false accusations of being homosexual, ect. He always remained professional, non controversial and never allowed scrutiny to change him. The most talented artist off all time, also is the classiest artist of all time. We all miss The Purple One. He is with the Lord, for which is praised and served.

That was brilliant. I’ve always loved Prince’s music but I didn’t learn a thing about who he was as a person until after he passed. I think I thought he was a spoilt oddball type if I’m honest, but looking into it it’s clear how intelligent he was. Many have compared him to a modern day Mozart ! All the instruments he could play, even better than those who focus on the one instrument! I didn’t know all this while he was still on earth. How generous he was in giving to charity. I even find it nice how he never left his hometown despite his fame! Now the loss seems all the greater! RIP Prince, May your memory live on for generations to come!

A huge inspiration this gifted soul was. I had always hoped that someday I would have an opportunity to meet this amazing man in person, but his legacy, message and inspiration lives on through all of us fans. Thank you for making this video guys. I would have to say that number 3. Don't Criticize, is still one of the opportunities I have to grow on, and each day I make a little progress. I have heard this reference delivered a few different ways, and it reminds me of what a friend had said. Though I do not consider myself a religious person, and hold my spiritual beliefs very personal, my friend had said that "by not using the gifts you had been given, it is tantamount to committing sin." The two messages are congruent, and at its core, the message ties into self-love, acceptance of self, self-worth confidence and self-esteem. The great news is that we can all take steps towards improving and growing in these areas. Thank you for doing what you guys do, and inspiring us. Have a lovely evening. #BTA10

I believe of the top 10, LOVE encompasses them all. He definitely Loved God, who HE was, what HE did, which allowed him to Love others with the same measure!

I truly love Prince the artist. Indeed, I reference his solutions to rhythmic and harmonic challenges as often as I can when I'm in the studio. But if I'm to be honest, there is more than a little hypocrisy in his "rules". As a young artist he made his mark and secured his position and fan base making music that was latent with gratuitous sexual content. Please understand, this is not a criticism. Indeed, it's his early stuff that influences me THE MOST. There are some amazing songs on his early albums. So if he's going to give advice he should own that and encourage others to be as daring. Also, sadly he has on more than a few occasions, used his talent as a means to be hurtful to other artists, Michael Jackson in particular, in direct contrast to his words here. He has been a viscous critic, prompting even those closest to him to describe him as "petty". Again, I'm a fan and I love him but we owe it to ourselves to be honest about our inspirations. Their strengths and their weaknesses.

As a guitar player I am really starting to like and learn from this guy, it's a shame I never listened to him speak years ago. Playing from the heart is so important. You may have those around you who don't like your music. As prince said all music can be inspiring. However not everyone will be inspired by the same song. If you play from the heart you keep true to yourself. Others who enjoy the music can really feel it that way

A lot of people have Drive determination and skill a passion for what they do but very very very few people have the talent to go with those things. Look at Jordan look at LeBron look at Michael. Few months back I turned down the same deal Prince was offered, by the same man who offered it to him; Chris Moon. I have a copy of the artist development contract framed, as it's one of the things I am most proud of having the strenght to say no to. Like Prince I am pretty emotionally in tune with my musicality.
I recalled how he felt so devalued by the deal Moon secured him, to the point he changed his name to a symbol, wrote SLAVE on his face, and overdosed.
I have my own studio now, employ a vocalist, and co producer, work with several writers, and vocalists. My team and I output several songs every single day, and I'm doing better than I ever did in a few months, than I did for a full year under Moon Sound Studio.
