Hi Sir, I am a software employee. I am very much interested in politics from my young age. So I wanted to prepare for upsc just to at least gain knowledge on how the system works. Because this knowledge may help me if I want to become politician in my future. I wanted to work on policy changes and wanted to really know how the system works internally. Do you think preparing for upsc helps me gain knowledge. Can you please guide me if what I am thinking is correct or not?
Cut off rank is ok, but sir should also show category wise participation in each service. Then only so called general people will be aware of why reservation is given. Talking about IAS 2023 total candidates who got IAS service is 179 Out of which total number of GENERAL candidates: 59 Total number of O.B.C candidates: 56 Total number of S.C candidates: 30 Total number of S.T candidates: only 15. I also belong to general category. SC get 15% and ST get only 7.5% reservation. But OBC get 27% reservation which no one talks about and only ST and sc are only criticised. GENERAL ka asli seat toh OBC wale kha jaa rahe hai not ST and SC. I hope so called GENERAL brothers and sisters will be little aware and stop criticising ST/SC. THANK YOU 🙏

Unfortunately, good study materials are not available in Hindi medium. I have searched a lot but haven't found anything satisfactory, while materials in English are easily available. So, can I write the GS Papers 1 to 5 in Hindi medium and the optional paper in English medium? While filling out the form, they ask for the language of the GS papers and optional paper separately. So, is it possible to choose different languages for the GS papers and the optional paper?
