I'm from London and been watching these kind of videos lately but really think I need to make a box of sweets and send them for someone to review as most of the ones I see are crap sweets.
If you enjoyed the Walkers cheese & onion crisps, you really must try them in the 'traditional' British way............between two slices of soft, white, buttered bread! Amazing sandwich experience! 😃
That sounds really good! Too bad we don’t have any left over to try it... 😕 If we ever get our hands on that flavor again, we will definitely be doing this!! 😁
Thank you!! You are the second person that told us to have a cup of tea with British Candy, so we will definitely be doing that the next time we get this subscription box!
We definitely need to get ourselves a tin then! Being able to try all the flavors, including your favorite Purple one, would be quite enjoyable. 😁 Thanks for watching and commenting!!

Fun tasting video. Came over to say hello from following Kate and Alex. In the kitchen with Kate. Good to see what you thought of our British goodies. Out of all the things u tastedi thibk i like the snow bites and the pear fruitella the best
Welcome! We are happy to see you here 😁 Kate and Alex are great people and so much fun! Those 2 were great! We enjoy trying all the fun and different things the UK has to offer! 🇬🇧
I liked that you didn't just diss the chocolate and compare it to usa chocolate all the time. It's going to be different, and i liked that you focused on the flavours. i would love to see what you think about our Galaxy chocolate bars. In my opinion better than Cadbury's since Cadbury chocolate does not taste the same any more since Cadbury was sold :( some products for you to look out for Kinder bueno bars or Kinda hippos - a beautiful hazelnut cream inside Matchmakers mint and orange Galaxy - Ripple, Eggs, Caramel - yum! Thank you!! Thank you for every kind thing you said! 😃 We actually were able to try the Kinder HappyHippo in our 2nd British Candy Box Video, and it’s one of our favorites! Also, we were able to just recently try Galaxy chocolates, and many other items, in videos we filmed within the last week. They’ll be uploaded within the next few weeks so make sure to subscribe so you know when they’re uploaded...if you don’t want to subscribe, that’s okay, at least check back to see the videos so you can know what our thoughts and reactions are towards Galaxy chocolates 😉 We are definitely loving UK sweets and snacks!! 🇬🇧
Having a potato allergy isn’t fun. Especially when you’re like me (this is Nathan responding to you by the way), and you develop the allergy later in life after you have a love for potato foods. We also live in a region of Pennsylvania that likes their potatoes! 😝
The caramel bite was small because it comes as part of the Cadbury's Roses selection boxes / tins. Same with the Creme Egg Twisted, although in that case it comes in boxes of Celebrations, and is itself a bitesize version of a Creme Egg which is chocolate egg with the same cream filling sold around Easter in the UK.
Matchmakers do that to you!!! My mum buys them every Christmas and every bloody time I have one, say eh its okay, then wake up the next day craving them haha.
great assortment but so many other things to recommend! I'd highly recommend Cadbury Crunchie and Boost bars in terms of sweets (and jaffa cakes of course). Also, savoury wise I would suggest the Sensations Sweet Thai and the Walkers Max Paprika
My favorite that I have tried from your collection is the Wispa Gold. I saw your comparison of British vs. US Cadbury eggs. Have you compared the two version of Dairy Milk (US vs. UK)? I definitely prefer the UK version.
Hi from the UK , Cadburys have been making chocolate in the UK since the 1980 but a few years ago it was brought over by an American company ,but they keep to the same recipes that the Cadbury's family stared with ,glad you are enjoying them ,we do get a lot of American candy in our shops there nice to,sorry not the 1980 the 1880
That’s great that you in the UK get to try a lot of our American candies! Do you have a favorite? The Cadbury chocolate that we have here in the states is made by Hershey’s and does taste a bit different than the Cadbury we’ve tried from the UK.
Hi there, Cadbury Chocolate has been produced in the UK since 1824, not 1980 as you put it, from a tea and coffee shop in Bull street Birmingham buy the Cadbury Family, it moved to its present site at Bournville in Birmingham in about 1830 where it has been located till this day in Bournville, Birmingham, UK producing the famous Cadbury Chocolate, it was bought out by Kraft foods about 10 years ago and is now run by Mondolaze International an American company a part of the Kraft Food group.
@@peterwilliamallen1063 hi sorry the date was a mistake, Dame Elizabeth Cadbury George Cadbury's wife was my father's godmother and as children we used to go round the factory and we would always get free chocolate it's an amazing place like Willy Wonka but when my grandmother died so did the supply of free chocolate
I love wispa golds, but my absolute go to is a Cadbury starbar. I'm from England and I've never had the ginger matchmakers, so I'll be looking for them I thought they only did them in mint flavour. Nice couple so ive subscribed ... happy New year .
I think we need to try the Wispa Gold again because multiple people have said they like it. We had another person make a comment saying that Matchmakers comes in mint, caramel, salted caramel, and orange flavors as well. Thank for the comment, compliment, and subscription!! It all means a lot to us! 😁
Thank you! We have not tried that, but it is definitely an interesting idea and we will add it to our list of potential future videos. If we would do it, would there be any British beers you would suggest us to try?
I'm a lager man so would say Peroni Carlsberg Stella Artois Heineken Amstel Cobra Tiger Most of these are not British but we drink them here in huge quantities I will be interested to find out what American lagers you have and how they compare Cheers mate👍
We’ve had Stella and Heineken, but not the others. The popular beer in our area of the States is Yuengling. It’s from Lancaster, PA and they have a really good lager, and one of the best black and tans out there. They even make their own ice cream flavored after their beer! ...which we got in our First Day of Spring Challenge vlog. Quick link to that video: ruclips.net/video/TOa991ND2xw/видео.html
I remember when the classic Wispa bar first came out [ end of 70's early 80's 'ish']. It was trialled in a handful of regions in the UK and luckily I lived in one of them[ north east England] . The were selling out SO fast it ended up being featured in local press. If a corner store got a delivery word would spread and they would soon sell out. If memory serves me right Cadbury then halted production because the bars were braking and they had to change the production method. The new one was launched and of course it was just as successful. No one had tasted chocolate with that texture before.
We can picture the word of the newly arrived shipment of wispa bars spreading throughout town without the help of social media or technology...such a fascinating thing!
Maybe you could review some Scottish fare, like Forfar bridies, Scotch pies, Lee's macaroon bars, Iron Bru, and the best of all, Scottish tablet!! (I'm sure Google could explain! 😂)
Tablet is soooooo delicious, and very sickly, but worth every single chew. I love Lees macaroon bars too, but don’t get macaroons instead, they’re not the same! 😊
You'll find its the other way round, Lays bought out Walkers in 1989 but kept the Walkers brand name for customer loyalty in the UK market. Lay's themselves are owned by the PepsiCo company.
Wispa (the origanal chocolate bar) is nicer than the Gold in my opinion, Areo mint or Aero Chocolate, Galaxy Choclate is smoother than Cadbury chocolate. Alot of Americans like the Kinders Beuno (milk chocholate is better than the white in my opinion) and Kinders Happy Hippos. Nestle Milky bar is my favourite white chocolate.
Definitely would like to try the original to see if it is better. We have a box of British sweets that were just sent to us by a subscriber and in it has Galaxy and Aero chocolates. We’ll be trying them in our next video, and we are super excited to taste them!! We actually had the Happy Hippo in our second British Candy Box video that we did. It was really good and fun! Thanks for commenting and sharing with us! 😃
Rose's come in a blue box there called rose's due to there being a rose on the box there's a mixture of different chocolates great for mother's Day etc box or tin😃
I got a box from them for the same Christmas season, but I got totally different stuff. All of it was good, except the chips. They were prawn (shrimp) flavored and I couldn't get anyone except my husband to even try them. (we have 4 adult children and they all take after me in hating shrimp.)
@@FromtheHobbitHole Our prawn cocktail crisps are based on the sauce you have with them, which is a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise mixed together :)
You could do the scores as a graphic (the Koaster Kids’ Logan Scream Scale is 1-5, but they can go out of that for [usually] very bad or very good rides; you have to watch the European Coaster Tour videos to get what I mean)
We’ll have to check out those videos! You have a good idea with the graphic and one of these times we might give it a try, but right now our editing software is limited. ☹️
Have you tried other british foods and cakes. Like scones, chorley cakes, eccles cakes etc and things like english breakfast, pie and peas, cornish pasty, english chips etc
We have tried versions of some of those items. We have a British Pub near us that makes some of those foods. And then when we went to Universal Studios Orlando the other year we tried the peas and pie in the Harry Potter land.
Thank you so much! Your compliment means a lot to us!! We definitely want to do more tastings like this in the future! Do you have any recommendations on what we should try?
Their are alot of Cadbury sweets like boost, double decker, starbar, we have star burst but different flavours loads of different flavour crisps.. Like prawn cocktail. Also American Cadburys are made by hersheys..
Prawn cocktail crisps sounds amazing! We definitely want to try as much of your snacks and sweets as possible!! That’s interesting that Hershey Chocolate makes the US Cadbury, that definitely explains a lot.
@@FromtheHobbitHole I recently came across one of your videos which i really enjoyed and then progressed to binge watching all of your other british sweet box reviews. I'm now preparing you guys a box, so I'll include that too. I'll message you on instagram for shipping address. 😁
@prettilicious we are so glad you found us and love our tasting videos! Thanks for wanting to send us some more things to try. Before you go out and start buying things for the box, please message us first through Instagram. There are some things we need to talk through first. If you haven't heard already, Hailey is pregnant! Because of that, we are taking some precautions with boxes over the next several months. Like we said, we will happily go into more detail in a direct message. We look forward to hearing from you, and thanks for working with us!
Fruittellas are the total boyyos! We have Starburst...formerly Opal Fruits over here and they definitely have a faker plastic flavour compared to Fruittella.
i keep commenting on americaans eating british sweets, i tell you guys with the harder fizzy chews like stingger, suck it for a few mins to soften it and let the flavour and fizzyness come out dont chew it till its soft.
That’s some good advice! It would’ve been nice to know that prior to biting into it on the video. Later, when we finish the remainder of the Stinger, we made sure to suck on it a bit first! Thanks for commenting 😃
Galaxy chocolate is much nicer than Cadburys (although I do like Cadbury's a lot) and although Lays brought Walkers they did not want to change the way Walkers processed their crisps which is why they do taste different and have a variety of flavours.
It’s nice when a company buys out another company and doesn’t change everything. We are excited to try Galaxy chocolate one day! We’ve been hearing lots of great things about it 🍫😃
I would like to point out that a lot of Cadbury chocolate is actually made in Poland not the UK but that's true of a lot of UK branded things, like HP sauce, Hellman's, Heinz ketchup, Heinz baked beans, etc which are made in Holland
@@FromtheHobbitHole Actually, you'll find that the worlds largest Baked Beans factory is the Heinz factory in Wigan, England, UK. They make over 3 million tins of Baked Beans every single day!! The UK buys 2.5 million of them every day too!
That’s incredible! Thanks for sharing that fun fact 😁 Heinz is well known here in the States, and most commonly associated with Pittsburgh. The football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, plays at Heinz Field.
@@FromtheHobbitHole Actually there is a Cadbury factory in Birmingham so all being made elsewhere isnt true x Its actually opened to the public certain times to see how chocolate is made .
Kendal Stubblefield Different Americans pronounce it differently remember the United States is quite large and has a wide variety of accents and pronunciations I pronounce it Care uh mel But it really doesn’t matter as long as you know what the person is talking about no need to be critical about pronunciations in other countries... pecan is another word pronounced differently around the states.
@@kendalstubblefield3096 And you don't know the correct usage of "their." You were looking for "they're" BTW. Why can't English people just understand that different English speaking countries will pronounce words differently? You'd think they'd be used to it with Wales, Scotland and Ireland so close. Don't come at me with England speaks the "original" English either, because it was "originally" derived from Germanic, for the most part.
I have seen every one of the "This with them" American candy unboxing and thought I would look at what they actually send back. I am shocked at how small the box is and the lack of variety. More than half were from Cadbury. Great Britain has to have more than one chocolate maker! In comparison the American candy boxes are valued at well over $100 each and I doubt this one was even worth $6. I saw what you guys sent. Did you feel disapointment as well from the size?
@@FromtheHobbitHole We have other makes of similar tins come Christmas time. Quality Street are very much like Roses. Heroes are by Cadbury. Celebrations are another tin that aren't Cadbury.
As Americans, it would be really fun to try all of those, and even compare them! Hopefully we can get our hands on those brand’s holiday packages one day.
@@FromtheHobbitHole Roses varieties change from time to time, but the current selection is: Golden Barrel (soft caramel in chocolate,) Hazel in Caramel (the same, only they also contain a whole hazelnut,) Hazel Whirl (a whole hazelnut set in chocolate,) Caramel Bite (bits of caramel in white nougat, covered in chocolate,) Strawberry Cream (a strawberry flavoured soft fondant in chocolate,) Tangy Orange Creme (the same, only the soft fondant is orange flavoured,) Signature Truffle (a creamy truffle covered in chocolate,) Coffee Escape (a chocolate coated coffee flavoured truffle,) Caramel (a chewier caramel, in chocolate,) Country Fudge (a chocolate coated vanilla fudge) and finally Cadbury Dairy Milk Chunk, which as its name implies is a solid chunk of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate. They are sold in various sized bags and boxes, and each package contains all the current varieties, around Christmas they're most popular in plastic 'sharing' tubs containing 660g (though they used to come in larger tins with up to 1.5kg too.) www.aussieproducts.com/images/BFX2055.png
I have a question for you guys. Out of the snacks you’ve tried from other countries, what country’s snacks are the best??? I’m from Yorkshire in the uk.
If you see anything on sale in America that say's Cadbury check the writing on the back. If you see a certain American Companies name on it...It's Fake. I forgot to say, if you see Dairy Milk on chocolate, it means it's made with fresh Dairy Milk.
Thank you! Do you know of any other subscription box companies that do British snacks? This is the only one we’ve found. It’s $10 USD just for shipping the box across the Atlantic (which is a good deal because we recently paid $30 USD to ship a similar size box to the UK). Also, when buying a subscription box like this, you are partially paying for the experience you get from it. Thanks for commenting!
We have Starburst in the UK, All Natural flavors and Colours in our Sweets and Savory / Chocolates ! LOL And learn to say Caramel correctly Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............
Next time you try different 'sweets' have a cup of tea handy - a little milk - no sugar - it helps to cleanse your palate -Golden Wonder Smoky Bacon flavour crisps are quite a good one rather than Walkers - some British chocolates are better letting them melt in your mouth to get the full flavour - there are lots more flavours to try from the United Kingdom - Crunchie - Fruit and Nut - Turkish Delight ( not everyone's favourite ) Double Decker .Nice Video - and a lovely couple .
Thank you for the tips! We definitely will give the cup of tea idea a try. Do you have a type of tea you would suggest? Those Golden Wonder Smoky Bacon crisps sound amazing! And, Turkish Delight is something we’ve been wanting to try. Thank you so much for your kind words and advice. It means a lot to us and it’s very much appreciated!
Hello - Any major brand of tea is ok Typhoo, Yorkshire Tea, Brook-Bond or to be really posh - Earl Grey . Fry's Turkish Delight is a chocolate covered bar whereas the 'proper' Turkish delight is a powder coated sweetmeat from Turkey and Arabian countries - not for everyone but I quite like both versions .Thank You for your video it was very well presented and hope to watch more of them .Happy New Year .
Happy New Year to you as well! I believe we have some Earl Grey in our tea box so we will give that a try. We will be doing more of these videos so make sure to subscribe to our channel if you haven’t already so you can be alerted to our next “treats” tasting.
Thank you! 😊 No, we do not live in a cottage. We live in a small, quaint house built in the early 1950s and we just have an old world decorating style.
Wow! That’s quite the price difference. Subscription boxes aren’t always the best value, but you do pay for the experience of the box when purchasing something like this. For us, it was worth it!
Guys, the word is ca-ra-mel. The "a"'s are flat, like in "as" or "laugh". Good vid though. Love the score cards. The "Roses" that you ate is small because it is one from a variety tin of sweets, usually given around xmas time.
Thanks for the pronunciation tip! We really do try from this video forward to pronounce caramel correctly...though Nathan still struggles 😝 It’s good to know that you like the score cards. We recently were discussing if we should keep using them or do something different (which we tried something different in 2 of our more recent tasting videos). Those little Roses were too small to get a good taste. Do they come in larger bars?
Hi. Your pronunciation isn't a problem, just cute. The Rose that you ate is just one of a variety of fillings, all that size and individually wrapped. They come in caramel, strawberry, orange, coffee, toffee and a few other flavours and can be bought in a box containing 2 or 3 of each or a larger tub containing about 10 of each. We give the boxes and tub as birthday or xmas gifts to friends or workmates or as thank you gifts. they don't come in bars. There's always light-hearted disputes here about which is the best one. In my house a tub lasts maybe a couple of weeks! Google Cadburys Roses and check them out.
I had Lays in Spain alot and it don't taste near as good as Walkers crisps here in the UK.Best choc's on top of my head are Twist,Twix,Whispa....and anything Cadbury's or Nestle is devine! Btw Choc biscuits and chips/crisps is NOT candy/sweets.
There’s definitely a difference between Walker’s and Lay’s, with Walker’s being the better of the two. And you are correct, biscuits and chips/crisps are not candy/sweets, but they tend to get lumped in with “Candy Boxes”...and we are glad that they do!
You aren’t the first to mention the “crisps, not chips” thing, but you are the first to tell us how you do have a potato type food that is called chips. It’s interesting how terminology and names for things can change from one part of the world to another. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
And we have a baked good that we call scones, which can be either sweet or savory. Also, what you in the UK call biscuits, we call cookies. Here in the States, one region of the country calls soft drinks “soda” while another region calls it “pop.” Does terminology change from, lets say, northern England to southern England, or does it all stay the same for everyone?
@@valeriebrown3872: Except almost nobody in the UK calls 'Pop' 'Soda'. If you're feeling lazy you can refer to 'pop' as Lemo (not leemo) which is short for lemonade. Our lemonade is fizzy/carbonated.
You’ve had that happen to you?? ...that’s a real bummer! We’ve received those chips/crisps from them twice now with no destruction. The only item we’ve had tampered with is a candy shaped similar to M&Ms that was it a tubular shaped box...it’s like Customs had to check to make sure they weren’t drugs or something...

Oh wow! We’ve never heard of such a thing with customs...their reasoning for taking those crisps out were quite, ummm...bizarre. They didn’t make sense. And thank you, glad you enjoy our content!
@@FromtheHobbitHole, no sence, I believe the custom guys don't get sent any crisps from ther UK and just wanted to try them. Custom laws are often difficult to understand, I know with hurricane Katrina, a lot of the military rations, (500,000, 24 hour rations) the UK sent, didn't get used because of customs. But, who are we to question?
That’s a lot of rations to have go to waste! Customs laws are confusing and sometimes backwards. We tell anyone sending us a package to please abide by the laws and be smart with what they send us!
Have you ever had any of these British treats? If so, what's your favorite? Let us know!

matchmakers are normally either mint, orange or coffee
It would be nice to try the original flavors because that specialty holiday flavor was really good.
And the mint or orange match makers are the nicest x
We have starburst in the uk. Until a few years ago they were called opal fruits. All of our fruit sweets are made with real fruit without additives.
That sounds wonderful. We wish they did that here more often!
So that's what the twisted creme egg is supposed to look like. We have a tin of Heroes and all the twisted creme eggs were just solid milk chocolate
That’s odd. Hopefully you’ll get the chance to try the real twisted creme egg.
The roses caramel is from a whole tin of sweets that come with lots of different sweets, you were swindled.
Bummer!
Good vlog guys very interesting
Have you tried comparing British and American largers or beers
That would definitely be interesting to watch
🍻🍻👍
Thank you! We have not tried that, but it is definitely an interesting idea and we will add it to our list of potential future videos. If we would do it, would there be any British beers you would suggest us to try?
I'm a lager man so would say
Peroni
Carlsberg
Stella Artois
Heineken
Amstel
Cobra
Tiger
Most of these are not British but we drink them here in huge quantities
I will be interested to find out what American lagers you have and how they compare
Cheers mate👍
We’ve had Stella and Heineken, but not the others. The popular beer in our area of the States is Yuengling. It’s from Lancaster, PA and they have a really good lager, and one of the best black and tans out there. They even make their own ice cream flavored after their beer! ...which we got in our First Day of Spring Challenge vlog. Quick link to that video: ruclips.net/video/TOa991ND2xw/видео.html
Used to make Matchmakers here in York. Many different flavours about
That’s so cool!
We will look into these. We are always game to try new and fun things!
Tablet is soooooo delicious, and very sickly, but worth every single chew. I love Lees macaroon bars too, but don’t get macaroons instead, they’re not the same! 😊
Your reaction is making me feel hungry.
We tend to have that affect on people 😉😆
Layne’s is Walkers made under licence in the USA.
A Wispa bar that has been in the fridge for a bit is ace. Probably my favourite chocolate bar, followed by a peanut Lion bar and a Topic.
Rose's come in a blue box there called rose's due to there being a rose on the box there's a mixture of different chocolates great for mother's Day etc box or tin😃
Ahhh...we wondered where the “Roses” name comes from!
matchmakers are normaly mint flavour.
I got a box from them for the same Christmas season, but I got totally different stuff. All of it was good, except the chips. They were prawn (shrimp) flavored and I couldn't get anyone except my husband to even try them. (we have 4 adult children and they all take after me in hating shrimp.)
Oh wow! We are glad we got the Roast Chicken, but we sure would love to try prawn. Shrimp flavor isn’t for everyone.
We have a flavour called prawn cocktail, I'm sure that's the one you got, one of my faves. Its sweet and tangy and doesn't taste of shrimp at all.
We’ve recently tried the prawn cocktail! And you are right, it’s not a very shrimpy taste.
@@FromtheHobbitHole Our prawn cocktail crisps are based on the sauce you have with them, which is a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise mixed together :)
We’ve actually had them since making this video
Caramac caramel flavoured chocolate.
YES
Yes! What are we yes-ing about exactly?
I've never seen that stinger thing before
Nice shirt from H&M Nathan! i have the same one! Greetings from Sweden!
Closer look at mine NOT* the same, but damn they look alike!
The sweater was a gift for Christmas a few years ago but it is from H&M! Its probably the same sweater but a slightly different color?
Matchmaker's come in either mint or orange usually.
Both of those sound really good!
@@FromtheHobbitHole they are personally I prefer orange as a personal preference.
We also have hugh Chocolate Bars all sizes ! LOL
You can find the ad here on RUclips.
Never seen it on a RUclips ad 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♀️
Wispa golds are amazing
You need to try diam bars there lovely I’ve tried all of these as I’m from the uk an are all nice none are my fave tho x
We tried a mint version of the diam bars in this video: ruclips.net/video/BjVhzK61tTM/видео.html
Normal diam is even nicer also kinder bueno x
We love kinder bueno...especially in the form of the Happy Hippo!
Congrats on 100 subs you guys!!!!
Thanks, Kara! This number has been a goal that felt like it would never happen 😊
This just in: Flynn Rider and Galadriel taste foreign treats!
Love the video!
Yes! So much yes 😂😁
If you haven’t already tried it, try a Mars Bar. Also a Cadburys Chocolate Flake and Fry’s Chocolate Cream.
We recently (within the last year) tried a few different flavors of Fry’s chocolate cream bars.
Matchmakers also come in orange flavour if you like the whole orange and chocolate thing??
We’ve tried the mint, but still haven’t had the orange
Love this video, would love to see more uk sweets taste test from you too 🇬🇧
Thank you so much!
Think your score for the roast chicken crisps should have been higher as they just amazing and my fav👍
If we were scoring on the 1-10 scale that we are using now, they would’ve been an 11 😉
...for some reason we thought a 1-5 rating system would be just fine in this video, but it just made rating the items more difficult! 😜
Hey, how long did your box take to arrive to the US. My order was saying fulfilled from February 28 and still no box 😔
It takes about 10-14 days. Also, with the coronavirus issue, it could take a bit longer to get through customs so keep that in mind too.
Original Wispa bars are my all time favourite !! Wispa gold are just ok
There’s an original version?? 😳 that would be fantastic to try one day! What’s the difference?
The original has no caramel in it, just plain aerated chocolate,
Thanks for letting us know. It would be nice to try the original!
Fruittellas are the total boyyos!
We have Starburst...formerly Opal Fruits over here and they definitely have a faker plastic flavour compared to Fruittella.
It definitely makes a world of difference having good natural flavors in candy!
I can't believe someone sent you Matchmakers and it wasn't the mint ones!
Is mint the typical flavor?
@@FromtheHobbitHole oh yes, the most common and the best. There's also orange ones which are pretty nice too.
Lays is Walkers, the same brand with a different name.
A big difference that we’ve noticed is that Walkers has some crazy awesome flavors that we haven’t seen in a Lays bag.
i keep commenting on americaans eating british sweets, i tell you guys with the harder fizzy chews like stingger, suck it for a few mins to soften it and let the flavour and fizzyness come out dont chew it till its soft.
We’ve been hearing lots of great things about it 🍫😃
Have you tried Galaxy salted caramel? It’s heavenly!
We actually have tried it! You can see us trying it in this tasting video: ruclips.net/video/nSdW1IbHlXs/видео.html
what lovely un brash couple it was a delight to whach thank you

you are very welcome
Hi, have you tried or has anyone sent you the chicken thyme walkers sensations yet?
No and no. They sound really good!
They are good, I'd be more than happy to send you a variety especially as you seem to enjoy the different variety of walkers on sale in the UK.
Omg snowmen moose are so yummy
The snowman mousse was really really good!
You need to try a yorkie bar
We are pretty sure we’ve had one in another video but we are having a hard time remembering which video it’s in. 🙈
Haha there are so many good brutish sweets
I would like to point out that a lot of Cadbury chocolate is actually made in Poland not the UK but that's true of a lot of UK branded things, like HP sauce, Hellman's, Heinz ketchup, Heinz baked beans, etc which are made in Holland
How interesting! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks for sharing that fun fact 😁
Heinz is well known here in the States, and most commonly associated with Pittsburgh. The football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, plays at Heinz Field.
@@FromtheHobbitHole Actually there is a Cadbury factory in Birmingham so all being made elsewhere isnt true x Its actually opened to the public certain times to see how chocolate is made .

It's CARAmel!!!!
I know, They’re so lazy when they pronounce certain things.
Leanne It’s not that their lazy, it’s that they don’t know the “exact” pronounciation because their American!
They also don't have the second "a" in their spelling. They pronounce it carmel.
Lays bought Walkers in 1989 (according to Wikipedia)
That’s cool! We definitely didn’t know that. Thanks for looking up that info and letting us know!
The miniatures are part of a tin of Roses, usually sold at Christmas...
Do they make larger sized Roses chocolates?
@@FromtheHobbitHole No. Roses come in tins at Christmas and sometimes Easter.
That explains as to why they were in the Holiday themed box.
The roses chocolate is just one of a variety of chocolates that comes in large tins and it's crisps not chips.
Yes...crisps! Next review video we will make sure to call them crisps!! What other flavors come in the Roses tin?
They are sold in various sized bags and boxes, and each package contains all the current varieties, around Christmas they're most popular in plastic 'sharing' tubs containing 660g (though they used to come in larger tins with up to 1.5kg too.)

In these u can all so get mint and a orange flavor
We just recently tried the mint!
I have a question for you guys. Out of the snacks you’ve tried from other countries, what country’s snacks are the best??? I’m from Yorkshire in the uk.
We’ve really loved a lot of British snacks the most
I’m not being biased but British snacks are the best lol x
If you see anything on sale in America that say's Cadbury check the writing on the back. If you see a certain American Companies name on it...It's Fake. I forgot to say, if you see Dairy Milk on chocolate, it means it's made with fresh Dairy Milk.
**cough** Hershey’s?? **cough, cough**

Okay! Shall you help us taste treats or send us treats from Finland? 😁😉
@@FromtheHobbitHole well now that you ask, I prefer the tasting part 😂
Good opinion on the chocolates but my god you were ripped off with the price look around for a better importer.
Stingers are very chewy and sticky
VERY!!
The regular flavour of Matchmakers is mint
We did happen to see that on the back of the box. Hopefully some day we can get our hands on those. 😁
Them: breaks tiny candy apart
Me: pops the whole thing in my mouth before my sibling finds out
I know they arent siblings obviously but ya know
😂😂
If there were duplicates of each flavor we would’ve each had our own because half of one of those tiny bars was not enough!
Cadbury snow bites are so peng
You are a lovely couple.
Thank you! That means a lot to us 😁
Your setting is amazing, do you live in a cottage.
Thank you! 😊 No, we do not live in a cottage. We live in a small, quaint house built in the early 1950s and we just have an old world decorating style.
just to let you know, all of that would cost less then 6 dollars in england....{im from england}
Wow! That’s quite the price difference. Subscription boxes aren’t always the best value, but you do pay for the experience of the box when purchasing something like this. For us, it was worth it!
Roses are small because they come in a tin or box’s and they are a variety of flavours inside you can’t buy one like the one you tried! Lolx
So you get a whole bunch of different ones or none at all? You can’t pick one flavor and just get that?
Guys, the word is ca-ra-mel. The "a"'s are flat, like in "as" or "laugh". Good vid though. Love the score cards. The "Roses" that you ate is small because it is one from a variety tin of sweets, usually given around xmas time.
Thanks for the pronunciation tip! We really do try from this video forward to pronounce caramel correctly...though Nathan still struggles 😝
It’s good to know that you like the score cards.
Those other flavors sound really good! Definitely can see why there’s a hot debate on which is the best.
They're AMERICAN they speak a different version of English than you.
and Starburst are Opal fruits
We did find this out after filming, but never knew prior! Thanks for sharing 😁
Do more videos like this...
We will! Thanks!!
What was the last one called?
It was a hollow Kinder Snowman with milk chocolate on the outside and white on the inside. Not sure what it’s technically name is 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♂️
Yummy either way
Very true!
Pear 🍐 is my favourite
Pear was sooo good!
Cadbury in the US is produced under licence by the dreaded Hershey company - so definitely not the same.
It definitely isn’t the same, that is for sure!
The best thing about british sweets is they normally use real fruit juices
That IS one of the best things for sure!
Hello from Blackpool England
Hello!
@@FromtheHobbitHole I love your videos

I had Lays in Spain alot and it don't taste near as good as Walkers crisps here in the UK.Best choc's on top of my head are Twist,Twix,Whispa....and anything Cadbury's or Nestle is devine! Btw Choc biscuits and chips/crisps is NOT candy/sweets.
There’s definitely a difference between Walker’s and Lay’s, with Walker’s being the better of the two.
And you are correct, biscuits and chips/crisps are not candy/sweets, but they tend to get lumped in with “Candy Boxes”...and we are glad that they do!
Here in the UK we call them crisps not chips our chips are deep fried potatoes
You aren’t the first to mention the “crisps, not chips” thing, but you are the first to tell us how you do have a potato type food that is called chips. It’s interesting how terminology and names for things can change from one part of the world to another. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
@@FromtheHobbitHole that's so true and here in the UK we call what you call biscuits we call the scones we put jam and cream in the middle of ours xx

You're lucky the chicken crisps/chips made it though customs. They normal pull them out and "destroy" them
You’ve had that happen to you?? ...that’s a real bummer!

@@FromtheHobbitHole, no sence, I believe the custom guys don't get sent any crisps from ther UK and just wanted to try them. But, who are we to question?
That’s a lot of rations to have go to waste! Customs laws are confusing and sometimes backwards. We tell anyone sending us a package to please abide by the laws and be smart with what they send us!
They really rip u off importing that. In the UK u could get all that for around £5
