I worked at 10 Tampa Bay news in the early 1970s when it was still WLCY. I have been watching its coverage of Hurricane Helene and its aftermath. It brings back memories of living on the beaches and working at the station.
It is amazing how many tv reporters seem unprepared to anything more than babble when it comes to stories like this. The insistence by management that stories must end on some kind of upbeat note, no matter how tortured, doesn’t help either. This storm could very well be the nail in the coffin of the Florida real estate industry, which is to say, the entire Florida economy. No flood insurance, no mortgage, and who’s going to write flood insurance, to say nothing of who’s going to be able to pay for it, and not to mention the fact that thousands of people are now wiped out financially because their major asset, their home, is not only unsellable but unlivable due to thousands of dollars worth of uninsured damage.
@@vblic you right wingers will protect your greedy billionaire grifters at all costs. Maybe we should sue you climate deniers for voting those narcissistic, power hungry men in office who reverse climate policy and regulations!! I'm voting blue 💙💙💙💙💙

Like having a pager, walkie talkie, solar panel or hand radio just waiting to explode. 🤔🧐😳
0:17 How much Amalie oil / chemicals did Helene spill into Tampa Bay❓
Thx Elon, sue him for the damage. Those cars shouldn't be allowed to be sold in coastal states.
Maybe the buyer should think before purchasing it. Just like purchasing a coastal home.
RIGHT! Shift responsibility for your stupid mistake to the manufacturer. Good job.

@@ZeroGravityLife I don't own a Tesla and never will. I'm not lining Musk pockets with a penny like you Twitters do.
Quick to judge whereas golf carts and scooters inside the house could have done it too.
