i confess and am extremely hungover after blacking out last night. I had a terrible night after excessive drinking and started a fight with my family and ended up in a bad situation. This video is what I need right now. Thank you Jesus.
I don't drink anymore, but I have no problem with those who do. My friends, church family, and wife do, but I don't. Why? Because I can't control myself. One time, I drank, and I just wanted more and more( I'm honestly surprised I didn't die), and let's just say I got myself in lots of trouble. Thankfully, God got me out of it. And ever since then, I never drank again ( 2 yesrs sober), and I've never gone back, and I love it. Thank you, Jesus
“Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit.”
and praise God it means all things and not just alcohal, and who cares what some satan worshipping baby murdering adrenochrome using elite say? romasn 13 1 EWW matthew 4 8 TRUTH!
Sober can simply mean, "not drunk". People often use it to mean they never drink alcohol, but that's not the only definition. The verse isn't saying to never, never, not once ever, drink alcohol. It's simply telling you to abstain from drunkness.
@@terrandenny5349 Actually, the word sober here just means "aware", so when it says, be sober, it means, be aware and cautious, because the devil is roaming. While it's not necessarily a drinking verse, I can see how it can be applied here
I lost a very important friend because of the way I was acting while drunk during a girls trip. I had to re evaluate my relationship with alcohol and felt convicted to stop. That’s when I discovered there was a lot of hurt and pain I was suppressing. God’s been restoring me ever since.
@@Alesay0 Peace be with you Friend ❤️ Smoking is Really different. Tho it is Not Explicitly Said that Smoking is a Sin. There are Principles around it, which can help us know that it is a Sin.
I was drinking every night starting in 2021. I told everyone it was for sleeping. In my heart I knew i wanted to drink. My health started going down. I finally gave it to the Lord and stopped a few months ago. I thought I’ll not get much sleep and everything is going to hurt. Not so. I slept so good and it’s only getting better. My health is much better. My relationship with the Lord is much closer and I am so grateful to the Lord for helping me. We take the first step towards what it is we are asking the Lord for and He walks us the rest of the way. ❤
@@Murph_gaming Having 100% self-control means you will never succumb to temptation. I have self-control, but it's not absolute; and because it's not absolute, I don't trust myself. Thus, I trust God's Word which is absolute.
I never drink to excess and usually just drink a little wine to go to sleep faster, but I feel ashamed to pray or read God's Word if I have had a drink. Also, I feel convicted when I buy alcohol because I am hesitant to share my faith with the person who sold it to me because I might confuse them. I needed this message.
I don’t feel “ashamed” to pray or read the Bible if I have had some wine, but I do feel that the alcohol will interfere with anything God would have spoken to me about in the passages I would have been reading afterwards.
Talking with God and being spoken to by Him can not be affected by you drinking alcohol, what gives you your righteous state is what Christ did on the Cross but the Bible also says do not do it in excess, keeping this is important especially for our health.
It doesn’t matter if I’m “allowed” to drink or not, I’m not going to. I lost both my grandparents (not dead but just completely unrecognizable drunks) to it, and I’m not going to go down the road I’ve seen so many people fall victim to. I know very well I wouldn’t have the willpower to stop myself from drinking if it got to a not so great point. I encourage all of you who haven’t had a drink before and are thinking about it, just don’t. You’re not missing out on anything, and your life will be just a little bit better, as to the contrast of it becoming a whole lot worse. (Either way, whatever choice you make, Jesus still loves you)
Alcoholism can be partly genetic. If you have genes that put you at greater risk of getting addicted when you consume alcohol, then you've probably just saved yourself even more.
@@euphoria13085 yep, I uh found that a have a lack of self control once I find myself in a situation like addiction, so I probably wouldn’t be able to pull myself out of that pit if I fall down into it.
9:45 HACKSAW RIDGE!!! YO!! 😱 That movie got me to realize, God is the only help you need in warfare, no gun, no knife, no weapons, Only God can do it all through Faith. 😇
That character was actually prideful and egotistical, and thus was of his father the devil. God is clear in the Bible that killing is ok in wartime and especially if it is for a just cause.
@@Nomadestra1776 well, in that movie, vased on real life. The reason he does not want to cary a gun into battle is not because he thinks he is too good for it and doesnt need one, its because he pulled one in anger and almost killed someone and swore to never use one again. It had far less to do with his ego than it did with the fact that he was completely repulsed by his actions when weilding a firearm.
Your videos are soo awesome!! Thank you!! I don't drink as well. It took a while to realize that I don't drink for the taste, but the feeling. The more I would drink the better I felt. Afterwards the issues I had would still be there though. When I stopped I realized that even on my toughest days, with Jesus in my life, I could make it through without a drop of liquor. I could face my issues head on with a clear and peaceful mind. Thanks again!!
God did not mean the communion wine to have alcohol. It should never! If it really was okay, why would the Bible say, Proverbs 20:1 - “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.”
“I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom.” Jesus Himself said this to clarify. Fruit of the vine would imply the grape fruit. They were drinking, in simple terms, grape juice. In the Old testament- "I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine..."(Haggai 1:11) Mountains cannot produce alcoholic wine. They can only produce fresh grapes or their juice. This is the sweet wine or the new wine that Jesus talks about. New wine is processed and preservatives added. But if not carefully preserved and left in a hot climate, this will get fermented and become alcoholic. This is the old wine that can make new wineskins burst if kept in them . There are several examples of people of God being instructed not to have wine, not little, not more, but not to have wine. If you still have further doubt, God will certainly speak to you and show you what's right. Depend on Him alone 😊
I'm 5 months clean from alcohol. Thank you for these videos. Unfortunately I cannot control my drinking. I had went through a very emotional divorce and turned to drinking. I battled with it on and off for years. My mind is so much clearer and my walk with God is stronger.
@@LeeshayVolmink Proverbs 23:31-32 and Proverbs 20:1 tells us that wine(alcohol) has a bad impact on us. So yes, that is a sin in Adventist belief. But it won't cause you to not go to heaven. I have just discovered your channel about a week ago, and I had to write to tell you what a blessing it has been for me and my family. I also watched your face reveal video recently and how difficult it has been to maintain the channel and content. I am praying for you and your team to have the provision you need to continue to produce content like this, even if it's not as often. The value in your videos and the messages you produce are priceless. My wife and I have three teenage children that I have been exposing to your videos and they are absolutely perfect for them! I can't express how much of a perfect fit your content has been for all of us. My wife and I have been Christian for a long time and our children are Christian as well, but we all need the Gospel presented in ways that stirs our spirits and speaks to us through the Holy Spirit, such as your content. I will be donating regularly to your ministry here online, and even though it's not much, I pray that it provides a larger impact into the needs and provisions required to help you in your ministry. Praying for you and your team to be blessed and look forward to the next video, even if you need a little more time going forward. :)
your comment made my day. thank you so much for your encouragement, and im so grateful our channel has blessed your family. i hope we continue to do so :)
Also as an alcoholic myself, I used to do what he is talking about in the end , which is forcing my own true beliefs and convictions over alcohol down other people’s throats. I used to believe that it was a sin to drink period and I used to try to tell people that were of legal age (I’m not . I am 19 and became an alcoholic at 16 after I’d been through so much trauma ; my Mawmaw had passed away and I drank in order to cope with it.) that they couldn’t drink and that they were hurting their bodies and weren’t a real Christian if they did this . Now I know from this video that it’s not true that drinking is a sin . I used to get so triggered if people who were of legal age drank around me but now I do not mind as long as they are not forcing it on me. Just because God wants me to not drink alcohol doesn’t mean that is the case for other people. We are all different and they may be able to control their alcohol consumption. I cannot and that’s why I don’t drink .
It's sad. My father drinks a lot. He is kinda sad bout how he can't make enough money but his addiction of drinking his past 30 years is a lot. I want to help him to be able to inherit the kingdom of God. I love him much ❤
I don't know why I clicked on this video because I'm 15, obviously I don't drink. However, I'm so glad I clicked on it because the personal convictions part rlly blew my mind. I have always been really confused about that part of the BIble, and you opened my eyes. Thank you so much Impact for your amazing videos every Saturday, it's like you pack a sermon's-worth of Biblical teaching into a fun, engaging, (and cute!) 10-minute video.
The timing of this video is crazy! I live in Canada where the drinking age is +19, me and my christian brothers are turning this age this year and this is something we have been talking about recently. It is what i needed to hear and i will be sharing it with the others. Thanks and God bless!
I'm a Christian. Praise God! I drink beer, and sometimes wine. I usually only have a drink while I eat dinner occasionally. The only other times are during joyous celebrations, i.e., wedding, anniversary, birth, etc. Never more than a couple of beers or a couple of glasses. Jesus himself created wine. Though, this video opened my eyes to more considerations for the future. Thank you for this video!
I'll have a beer after a hard day's work (if it's actual labor, no office labor...just not the same). It's usually with other laborers and tradesman, but actively avoid becoming drunk. So yes couple of beers, and ofc wine every now and then I can keep my faculties. Drinking to get drunk, rather than savoring and enjoying it, is where it becomes a problem.
I think a sin can be anything you put above God. If I drink it is not a sin because it is just 1 here or there, but to an alcoholic it is always a sin, because that takes over and the person puts it above God. I used to smoke a pack a day, it took over my whole day, i would schedule things around finding a time to stop and smoke, yet some people would have 1 or 2 socially on the weekend, and it not really be an issue. I think with this definition of sin, most any thing such as watching TV, social media, video games, watching sports, shopping, even something like eating, can be a sin if you take it to the point that you start putting it before God and it starts running your life
I never had a problem with alcohol. I quit drinking it years ago however, I do know that some can have medicinal uses. A common drink for a sore throat, cold, etc. is a strong proof alcohol, honey, and some type of tea. I have a small stash but like many don't feel the need or want to drink it.
I’m 12 and I don’t drink but when I’m in Italy I do have tastes (it is nice😋) but Ik when I’m older I will never be drunk! Cuz it’s a sin and I want to be like god and listen to him! ✝️💟☦️🛐
Please stay that way. I thought similarly at your age and let me tell you, alot can change. Cling to the lord in times of need and dont try to rely on your own strength.your strength can fail. Your will can falter. But the lord's is eternal and perfect. His strength will always be enough. His will will always push through. Our hardest challenges are but triffles to his power. May God bless you and take care of uou on your journey.
i see now, thanks for the help. i've had a bit of wine and non-alcoholic beer before and i'm only 16. from now on i'll reject it when it's offered to me, thank you and thank you God for allowing me to come across this video. God bless you all :)
I myself have been in bondage of it but broke free from it 7 or 8 years ago and would encourage others to do likewise if your unable to maintain your convictions with it. I used to be a go big or go home person. That got me into bondage of drinking i give God all the glory for delivering me from that. Some can some cant choose an alternative which is God himself. Stay humble and keep the faith strong brothers and sisters in Christ. Love you all.
Your videos have been very helpful for my walk with Christ and how to synthesize scriptures together. You’re doing a great job, keeping spreading God’s word and leading people to Jesus!
I agree his channel has been a true mind opener to me and even answered questions I’ve had for a long time with the best example I can think of is “Why did God create Sin?” with the answer being he didn’t sin is merely being the absent of God
I was wondering about this a lot recently. I turned 18 in may and that is the legal drinking age here in the UK. I have my school leavers' ball/ prom at the end of the month. There will be a bar and I want to be careful. I will prob drink but I will follow all these instructions! Thank you for this video!
I got buzzed one time and swore to never do that again cause I hated the feeling. I also made the mistake once of having 2 hard drinks and got very sick from it. So now I honestly only drink roughly 4 times a year. I don't need alcohol to be happy, plus unfortunately I have people I know that abuse it. I pray for them.
Honestly, it sounds like you are definetly better off without it. Alvohol is one of those things that once you start regularly consuming it, it just becomes one more part of your daily routine. Like morning coffee except it sucks some energy out of you. Ultimately, it can just start feeling boring and useless.
Alcohol absolutely destroyed my life, and it took years to come back from it. I say stay away, but some people are definitely more susceptible to addiction than others.
I have the same thing with smoking. I have never smoked before but I made a promise to God to never smoke anything because it would exacerbate my asthma and I want to remain sober in my decisions.
I confess because of my own personal conviction not to drink I pressured my sister who was drinking to not drink in conversation and that caused a division between her and I because I believed drinking alcohol was a sin. Had I known what I knew now I wouldn’t have said the things I said, I was coming from a place of concern and love yet I was still pushy because of her dependency on alcohol in the past. After a while I stopped trying to have discussions about her drinking habits because it is her decision, I just did not want her to be far from God because of drinking but God loves her deeply and no matter what she does she will always be close to Him. I am grateful God showed me the truth through this video. Funny enough my little brother sent it this to our family chat so praise God for healing my precious family! Lord forgive me for me for my bitter root judgements, I repent for my self righteousness and for hurting my relationship with my sister out of ignorance. Please help me to be more compassionate and loving in our future discussions, please help me to acknowledge her needs. Please help me to be more understanding, I love her Lord and please help me to treat her the way you would. Please help me to make amends in our relationship for the wrongs I not only committed against her but you. Thank you Holy Spirit for freeing me thank you for your loving conviction and correction my Lord I love you. Thank you so much for opening my eyes. May you be glorified through my life and those around me.Thank you for your forgiveness, grace, and mercy God. I need you please help me to have a heart like yours Jesus, I need you, I need help I cannot do this alone. My mom and I have separate convictions with alcohol and tattoos. She is able to enjoy a drink or two a week with no convictions, whereas I am racked with guilt if I have one. However, I feel no convictions whatsoever when I get tattooed (I have over 30 and a couple of which even glorify God directly), whereas after she got one (containing lyrics from a hymn), she felt that getting any more wasn't right. Thank you so much for making this point--it's something that I always innately understood, but had difficulty describing to others.
I drink alcohol but rarely. But if in my head I am having a moment/bad day, etc…. If I am telling my self I want a drink I don’t because then I am just using it as a coping mechanism
VERY well written. One of the best teachings I’ve seen on this topic in a very long time. Side note. I find it interesting that violating your conscience can bring condemnation on you. Why? Because it comes from faith. Of course learning and growth can change this. Nice background music!
Thank you Impact Ministry!!!!! It's very clear by your teaching that a Christian can consume alcoholic beverages but not to the point of drunkenness and having it effect a weaker Christian. Some like to see it as a social thing to do. I can be social just drinking water, juice or coffee/tea (please understand, no judgment). I saw the ugly side of what drinking did to my family many years ago. Drinking can lead to addiction. God bless the Ministry for the teaching led by the Holy Spirit 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is amazing because this goes beyond alcohol this is helping me understand that how I grew up someone else’s personal conviction w many things were forced on the church. Like wearing pants or make up or jewelry. Thank you so much for always enlightening us!
I love you man you have truly answered many of my questions as a Christian THANK YOU!!!! I’m very grateful for God making such a wonderful human being :) God bless you
I dont have a problem with drinking. I have rules I follow 90% of the time. 1: I don't buy alcohol myself. People who drink usually buy enough for everyone to have some, so I share with them. If I do buy something, it's very, very rarely 2-3 times a month if that. 2: I don't keep alcohol in my fridge. I don't buy boxes of alcohol so there is no reason for me to keep any. 3: When I drink, I make sure that I keep it to a minimum with the majority of my drinks to have less than 7% of alcohol in it. I don't like the hard stuff. I like fruit flavored drinks 4: I make sure not to drink every time I do go out with friends. I can easily say no. Also helps for me to keep myself out of trouble and look out for others 5: I don't get drunk. I never have been drunk or blacked out, and I pray the Lord keeps me that way. I know he can when I do my part by feeding his spirit and not my own. If i ever stumble, I will make sure to give up drinking
I’m not saying prescription drugs are a bad thing, but when psychiatric drugs were numbing me and I was dependent on them to keep from dealing with my problems, they were a stumbling block in my life. Be blessed. ♥️
If you drink alcohol/liquor/wine to relax there are so many adaptations available nowadays. I love making creative and fun mocktails when I’m in the mood for something fun to drink. In my opinion it’s a sort of a “gateway” for bad things; fornication, adultery, gambling, violence, car accidents, careless spending, etc
Really love the fact that you always explain the context of the verses you present, because I always feel more skeptical when someone picked just a single verse, knowing how easy it is to misinterpret it by not looking at the context.
Thank you! Long before I came to the legal limit, I'd already decided that I wasn't going to drink. I now know this is a personal conviction of mine, and it's only gotten stronger ever since. I don't mind other people drinking around me, it doesn't affect my conviction personally since I've never been exposed to an intense addiction, but I'm glad I watched this video because it helped me understand that I'm doing the right thing.
Thank you for this video; I turn 21 on Thursday and everything in this video came up in my conversations with the Lord, as well as with people in my life. Thank you Lord!
Wine symbolized the Holy Spirit. For those who are filled with His Spirit, wine becomes unnecessary. I know because I used to be alcohol dependent. Never liked the taste but really loved the "peace" and false sense of happiness. I have God’s Spirit now in exchange and THAT feels intoxicating!😊💕🕊🌈
Turn to 18 and now that I am an adult your videos have been extremely useful for me to improve as a believer and to inform myself better. Greetings from Colombia, thank you so much brothers and remember that Jesus loves you
Good vid..its a thing of moderation 1 Timothy 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Thank you for this content. I couldn't help but share this with my beloved church. I felt like it may help someone in or someone connected to our church. The line that jumped at me (paraphrased), "Choose the Well-being of other Christians, over my Freedom in Christ". In other words, do not 🚫 trip up other Christians that may have different convictions from our Holy Spirit. That is so powerful in love.
When I drink, I barely drink the glass. If it's stronger alcohol, I might only take a few sips but if it's not as strong then maybe half a cup of the full cup. I don't drink very often either.
Drinking in moderation is fine. But when it hurts you or someone else, then it's a major problem. And those who know that a fellow believer has a problem with alcohol, please don't drink around them and cause them to stumble.
Thank you for clearing this up I was raised in a church that is very controlling in what you do in your personal life drinking being one of them and a lot of other things that I felt you shouldn't be punished for. thank you.😅 sorry I had to edit to add one thing and one thing that I've always felt is God wants you to follow him but he also knows the best way for us to learn is through our own trivial Conquest in life.
Amen! I'm 19 (legal drinking age in Saskatchewan, Canada), and I know my drinking limits. I can detect my body's signals when I'm starting to get buzzed, so I take breaks to rest, eat, and/or drink soft drinks to sober up before drinking more alcohol. I've heard horrible stories and saw sad videos of people drunk driving. I only have alcohol as a tasty drink and social drink, not to try to benefit from the alcohol itself. I was eating pizza pops and having a fireball and raspberry bubly cocktail when I was going through my subscribed channels list and tapped on this video. Thanks!
my family has a picture frame of the fruits of the spirit says love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control, my dad taught me about the fruits of the spirts
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.
If you cannot control your drinking habit then DO NOT DRINK. I barely drink and on my way to stop it at all so that lost soul can follow God's way and be saved. Most of the time we do drink with those who are not christian and they don't learn but for the glory of God to win a lost soul we should be an exemple
Honestly this was the perfect way to present a topic of discussion. I wouldn't have presented it any better. Great job! Please don't stop presenting other topics in such fashion. You hit it right on the mark. I have heard other people presenting topics such as alcohol and I wouldn't say they missed it but rather lagging in certain areas or could have presented it in a better way. Where as you sir flew by that with no problem like it came naturally for you.
Thank you for this video! Especially about self conviction! It opened my eyes on why it never feels right for me to cuss. New self knowledge - unlocked!
It's strange how Christian fellowship seems to revolve around unhealthy eating. I've been to many church potlucks and buffets where if anything gluttony was encouraged.
Your videos are so amazing ❤🙏🏼Thank you for answering your call from CHRIST and letting HIM use you as a vessel to help bring more ppl to HIS Kingdom and to Glorify HIS Name 🙌🏼❤️🔥
Speaking of thought no. 4, I remember a drunk driving incident in my own country from 3 years ago where the driver lost control of his BMW mini coupe due to excess alcohol and he drove at a speed of more than 100 km/h on a road of shophouses. The car crashed into a shophouse door and went up in flames. All four people in the vehicle including the driver were killed. The driver’s girlfriend even rushed to the scene to rescue him and got burned herself; She got seriously injured from the flames but did not die 😢. This is why you must never drive when you are drunk
Yup. I remember sitting with my dad before going off to college and the one thing he made me do was promise to never drive intoxicated. That right there kept me from making alot of poor decisions.
I used be an alcoholic for 10 years from 16 - 26. I stopped last year. Only god help me with that Drinking just made very lustful and depressed I realized wanted changed. I prayed to God those desire are gone now.
Seems like a bunch of other things, self control is key. If one can’t control themselves, they should simply not do it. But if y’all drink and can maintain control for the most part, word of the wise: drink strictly local & regional brands (various craft beers) instead of the EVERYWHERE USA & multinational brands (Budweiser, Guinness, Blue Moon, Heineken). It has nothing to do with scripture, but something I learned in recent years in particular… especially when I travel.
I liked the vídeo and your point of view, but you forgot, or didn't even mention, that we are the temple of God, and whoever destroys this temple, God will destroy him. I didn't say in that sentence that drinking is wrong (even though that conclusion is inferred in the sentence), but it would really be an act of gratitude for our body and consideration for the Holy Spirit who dwells within every Christian who seeks Him.
I pray for God to give you guys more grace impact ministry. The work you are doing for God is so great. I have turned into the legal age of drinking and though i decided not to drink, i fell into a compromising situation which make me to drink, on 1 side i had the medical knowledge who assured i was right , but on the other i felt guilty for disrespecting my own decision not to drink😢,❤❤ ❤but glory to God, now my guilt is gone, I 😊 know that drinking is not a sin and it even has medical benefits when it isn't be abused. So my new decision is not to drink except if it is for the good of my health. 😊
I only started recently but like having one a year not even I never thought it was bad it was just something I didn't want to do as I couldn't stomach the taste (still can't) Most alcoholic drinks I won't touch and I've never been drunk honestly if I think it's a risk I won't do it Honestly 99% the time i still choose not to im just not closed off to it
I was never into the partying/drinking lots of alcohol thing. I have an occasional drink here and there(no more than 2 in a sitting) so I feel confident in my ability to regulate my consumption.
I at one time would drink to get drunk, then i started attending a church and we were told by a pastor there not to drink because it could cause a brother to stumble and not to go buy alcohol from the store because it could cause someone to say well if they can then so can I... I'm now at a different church and have had a drink with a few of the congregants, but before I even order a drink I make sure that all members that are present are ok with it and that it's not going to cause them to stumble. If one claims it'll cause them to stumble I won't order a drink and advise the others not to either to help our brother. I tend to enjoy a drink at home more than I do when I'm out though.
My mom has never had a drink and she's 80. I did send her chocolate covered cherries one year from Germany. She said they tasted funny and she only had one. Come to find out, they're made with alcohol 🤦🏼♀️ I had no idea! They were located in the normal candy isle at the grocery store. We laugh about it now but I felt so bad!
Awesome video! Very informative. Could you elaborate in a video on convictions in a separate video at some point? I’d love hear your take on the topic. I have to say, I definitely agree with what opinions you gave on the topic in Point #6. I feel there is a lot to go over with this topic such as concerns of legality, conviction vs condemnation, and other things. I’ve seen a lot of Christians to grapple with their convictions and others calling said convictions “legalistic” or “nonsensical”. I’ve seen so many people battle with this topic in their walk.
i confess and am extremely hungover after blacking out last night. I had a terrible night after excessive drinking and started a fight with my family and ended up in a bad situation. This video is what I need right now. Thank you Jesus.
Bless you, and may you come over the desires to drink excessively. And that alcohol will no longer have power over your life!🔥
Commit your life to Jesus Christ and ask Him to give you a new heart with pure desires. His grace can transform your life.
Praying for you
God bless you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏and I pray things are well with you and your family!!!
Praying for you! God loves you ❤
I don't drink anymore, but I have no problem with those who do.
Yes I had to give up drinking as well I didn’t know my limits it was getting out of hand

King James Version
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
💯 i don't advise drinking at all as it has no beneficiary to our body (more over it destroys our body) other than to fulfill our lust.
God’s been restoring me ever since.
drinking itself is not, but when it is in excess and leads to drunkenness, that’s sin
Yes, I’m pretty sure it’s similar with smoking (getting high, also destroys lungs)
Exactly
And let's not forget, Jesus said "Drink this wide because this is my blood"
Yeah
Because drinking to excess is GLUTTONY and actually only to be done in moderation? Got it

Peace be with you Friend ❤️
Smoking is Really different.

Thats the best way.
Yes, if you have no self-control.
@@Murph_gaming Having 100% self-control means you will never succumb to temptation. I have self-control, but it's not absolute; and because it's not absolute, I don't trust myself. Thus, I trust God's Word which is absolute.
Adultery is a sin, will you get castrated?
Maybe try melatonin to help with falling asleep.

(Either way, whatever choice you make, Jesus still loves you)
If I ever do have a drink, I may have it at my wedding, might be a one time thing. Don’t think I’m willing to make any exceptions after that one tho.

thank you for your constant encouragement. theyre a blessing :)
i have absolutely no intention of ever drinking alcohol, except maybe as communion wine. dude, your videos are AWESOME!
God did not mean the communion wine to have alcohol. It should never! If it really was okay, why would the Bible say, Proverbs 20:1 - “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.”
@@prahladarao6256 But what were the disciples drinking with Jesus during the first Lord's Supper if that's the case?
@@Wadusherthey were drinking alcohol 🍸
“I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom.” Jesus Himself said this to clarify. Fruit of the vine would imply the grape fruit. They were drinking, in simple terms, grape juice.
In the Old testament-
"I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine..."(Haggai 1:11)
Mountains cannot produce alcoholic wine.

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV
That’s with everything, even with money, money isn’t bad but overusing it and being obsessed than it’s a sin

I'm turning 21 in december and this makes me fully understand what the Holy Bible says and make me prepare for what's to come in the future
I like fruit flavored drinks
4: I make sure not to drink every time I do go out with friends. I can easily say no. Also helps for me to keep myself out of trouble and look out for others
5: I don't get drunk. I never have been drunk or blacked out, and I pray the Lord keeps me that way. I know he can when I do my part by feeding his spirit and not my own. If i ever stumble, I will make sure to give up drinking
Ephesians 5:18
18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.
"Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." (Psalm 31:24, KJV) ❤
A cup of alcohol brings to a glass and a glass brings to a liter, and a liter brings to drunkenness, simply 😊

Thank you for this content. I couldn't help but share this with my beloved church. I felt like it may help someone in or someone connected to our church. The line that jumped at me (paraphrased),
"Choose the Well-being of other Christians, over my Freedom in Christ".
This video basically tells us drinking is not good for us period. Which i agree with
I only really drink on one day of the year and that is new years day but also only when i am with friends or on a really special occasion.

Thanks!

Only god help me with that
Drinking just made very lustful and depressed I realized wanted changed.
I only started recently but like having one a year not even
I never thought it was bad it was just something I didn't want to do as I couldn't stomach the taste (still can't)
Most alcoholic drinks I won't touch and I've never been drunk honestly if I think it's a risk I won't do it
Honestly 99% the time i still choose not to im just not closed off to it
I was never into the partying/drinking lots of alcohol thing. I have an occasional drink here and there(no more than 2 in a sitting) so I feel confident in my ability to regulate my consumption.
Your friends are amazing for communicating with you!! This video is amazing Thank you 😊🙏🏾 All Praise goes to God!
Plz pray for me.. I vape and I'm actually trying to stop but it's hard. I made the nicotine less but still hard to stop. God Bless
Now, this is the real education I am having right now, regarding to Alcohol.
Jesus made alcohal at a party and its was apperanty super good
My mom has never had a drink and she's 80.
