I find these to be effective, but no-where near perfect. They get the job done in a pinch, but there are other options that offer substantially more protection. These are sturdyish, lightweight, affordable, and effective. They are limited by size, but offer just enough protection to be effective on a commute. If you are a Bike Packer, they have a place, but may interfere with your gear.
