I been a DD fan since hearing "digging up the corpses" on RE Apocalypse soundtrack. Got to meet the band last yr an even got the winter kills package pre-orderd. This yr I going to see them preform with Trivium an I'll b decked out in my DD hat, jacket an shirt. DD4LIFE!!!!
To be fair, Last Kind Words was the album that defined them. The solo from Not All Who Wander, especially mike's bit, at 2:36 was utterly beautiful, and the entire album was solid. Yeah Fury was good, and the Self Titled had Meet The Wretched and I Could care Less, but I seriously think LKW was their best.
for me the last kinds words and pray for villains are the best albums, nice riffs and beauty guitar solos, drums are heavy machine gun. Beast is a great album too
Nope. Haunting Refrain's easily the best song they've done so far. Winter Kills, Carings Overkill, Appetite, Ruthless and Oath of The Abyss are all killer songs. It was a good, solid album. If you dont like it, fair enough, but this album is probably a personal favourite of a large portion of DD fans.

Baroque Bastard Most metal bands write lyrics to play the part, you tell me Cannibal Corpse has good lyrics or Whitechapel's first album had good lyrics and i'm fuckin out. Meshuggah on the other hand does have dark interesting lyric, but the MAJORITY of metal bands write hoorible lyrics. Hardcore bands write good lyrics but in my opinion hardcore is one of the only metal genres where you will find truly unique and good lyrics. That being said Devildriver is bomb

The intro sounds similar, but that's about it. Wouldn't quite call this a copy. Perhaps you should listen to more than 50 seconds of a song before you start critiquing it..
