Tevesh Szat is one of the Nine Titans. Why do you think they never put partner on Urza or Lord Windgrace? Prediction; The Nine Titans are returning, we could see a Thran Empire set in the future.
Oh also I wanted to add that from a budget point of view, I can see the partnership between Tevesh and Prava being pretty decent, to have an army of 1/5 tokens, with many anthem effects in those colors (orzhov) I think it could work out pretty good!!
If I’m not mistaken mikaeus and walking ballista is a 2 card combo alone. Mik only gives +1/+1 counters so you protean, get those two, ballista immediately died due to no counters, mik sees non human dies so return with a +1 counter, ballista removes it to deal 1, dies, repeat
I am currently building Tevesh partnered with Ravos and I hadn't watched this video, I like your idea and I'm also running Athreos as well, but went in a jankier way as a Thrull tribal orzhov deck, looks trash but I'm sure it will be a fun deck!! Also I had to promise to my play-group I will never ever ultimate Tevesh with his -10, since for our playgroup it's a broken mechanic. I wish they came up with something different than the old "steal your plan, you have no plan" mechanic, but I like the other 2 abilities too much to pass up!! Thank you for the video!
I'm in the process of building Tevesh Szat and Falthis partner deck. The main lock of the game is to run Contamination and use the thrull tokens to feed it. It's an aristocrat strategy but Falthis is there if I ever ultimate Tevesh
I don't see protean hulk seeing much play in cedh these days and hermit druid while powerful gets hosed by bloodmoon effects which are run more to combat the rising Evolution deck style. I think svat and kraum would make a good turbo ad nauseum deck using svat for earlier advantage (if you don't go off with ad nauseum on turn 2) before casting kraum to assembly a value engine. Ideally you would pull the trigger on your ad nauseum as early as possible or immediately after someone else has been stopped from winning
sadly doubling season doesn't double the uptick. it says if an "effect" planeswalker counter arent an effect its a cost. it will still put double counters of etb
Doubling season doesn't give you double counters when activating a loyalty ability because putting loyalty counters on a planeswalker with a loyalty ability is a cost
You're right - did I misspeak? The Planeswalker will enter with double the amount of counters but the activations don't add extra - we end up at the same goal, apologies if I misspoke. Thanks for pointing that out!
@@JakeandJoelareMagic I thought your 3 different takes on Tevesh were awesome, keep up the good work. Me personally, I've been playtesting Tevesh & Tana together. Red gives you access to all the threaten effects (like Zealous Conscripts, Captivating Crew is underrated in this deck). You also get Purphoros, God of the Forge, Dockside Ext, Korvold, Mayhem Devil and Prossh. Sac outlets like Goblin Bombardment and Yawgmoth play nice too. Skullclamp is silly in this deck with all the Saprolings and Thrulls you'll be making. Fun deck so far.

I’m actually brainstorming a Tevesh Kodama landfall build. I’m not sure if it’ll be any good, but I think golgari landfall could be incredibly fun!
What about Grixis thief deck? Maybe it could be a strong strategy stealing opponent's creatures and sac em with Tevesh.

Ballista gets +1/+1 from Mikaeus' Anthem Effect, so it would still be a 1/1 after removing the counter.
