Cassius, those refs did you dirty bro...no taunting at all, that entire officiating crew was a joke!!! Hope you get another chance to shine cause you were having yourself a great game!!!
I knew I had heard about this game on The Mind Sculptors' podcast when they invited Lynch, and had to go rewatch (relisten to?) the episode (great episode btw, you should check it out) to remember what Lynch said about this game (besides Cassius being shirtless). Apparently they left the rule 0 conversation out, but everyone else agreed to Lynch running the Tevesh Kraum deck just to see it in action. They didn't know it would be a cEDH deck, and apparently they got really salty off camera. I guess this is an example of rule 0 going wrong, since they just agreed to bringing fast decks, and Lynch ended up being the only one to interpret that as a cEDH deck. Even though his deck is not that fast in an actual cEDH setting, relying more on grinding and outvaluing opponents with his commanders, it was still too much for what the rest of the table brought.
I mean we don't know about that, almost every single card he played is in the kraum/tevesh cedh list. Without seeing the list you really can't say if this deck was fast enough for cedh or not. Based on what I seen this deck could very easily hang as most cedh tables
@@spudster8887 Oh, I meant that within the realm of cEDH, he was playing a slower midrange deck. The deck can have a very explosive start, but it mostly relies on value engines (namely, Kraum and Tevesh) to assemble mid game combos after drawing lots of cards (think turns 4-5 with protection), unlike more linear all-in style decks like Codie or Anje. I was merely pointing out that his deck, despite being cEDH, wasn't at the top of the speed chart. Perhaps if everyone else was playing more control-ly style decks instead of focusing on doing their own thing without access to great interaction (except for Cassius' deck), things could have turned out in a different way, but they did not because the rules weren't all that clear. A Torbran deck, for example, can be extremelly fast in a casual environment, but it's ill equipped to deal with what Lynch's deck was doing.
@@Orengi-kun I mean you could just call that being a grixis decks, kraum tevesh is basically a generic grixis midrange deck which relies on what all grixis decks rely on (I played obeka midrange for a while and that was basically just kess with the infinite turns loops obeka enables). But yeah I get what you meant not, sorry internet hard sometimes
@@spudster8887 There are some grixis lists that rely more on speed rather than grinding. A good example would be Rograkh Sylas, where none of the commanders give you any form of reliable card advantage, so you have to bank on abusing your 0 mana commander in order to win faster than other decks will more consistently.
@@Orengi-kun whilst they do exist, the majority of grixis decks in the format are going to be mid range lists which are attempting to abuse stuff like ad naus and win with everybodies favorite fish. But yeah silas/rograkh is different, which imagine showing a new player rograkh and then telling them this is one of the best commanders you can play if you pair it with the right stuff haha
After his turn 1, Lynch’s turn 2 gave me an aneurism. Didn’t use tevesh + took 2 from mogis + played a skull clamp with 1 floating and didn’t use that to equip it to a thrull lmao
Lynch shouldn't need to take a take-backsies counter for skullclamping both creatures as Marsh's Narset "triggers" (They aren't really triggers, it's a 'replacement effect') are Marsh's responsibility (Marsh would announce the first two triggers from Lynch's draw effects and then Lynch would not do it a second time) :x
But even the first draw two trigger wouldn't happen anyway. He took a take-backisies from the skullclamp mistake, and another one from the Barrin mistake.
I mean realistically it's not as big of a deal as it's made out to be since he could (And should since he's playing how power) do this on his second main phase. Hullbreacher can kill narset anyway do he would draw those cards after combat if he did the same thing
I'm so excited to see an Atraxa superfriends deck. I have one and its so much fun to play. I can't wait to see what Cassius has in his version of the deck.
@@raffaelbelmonte2526 I assure you, they did not know he was bringing a cedh list. Look at their comments throughout the game. He was playing solitaire. They had no way to deal with all his counters and card advantage. This is a rule 0 gone incredibly wrong.

*aneurysm
*thrall
pretty sure he was stoned lol look at his eyes
Cassius shirtless with his ink looks fancier than any clothing I've ever had. Bold and cool!
And Rachel, give us infinite Rachel episodes please!
Amazing to see two of my favorite guests on the show back
Lynch would play a hullbreacher. Shirt fits him perfectly
Got em!
My two favorite guests next too Proffessor and Post. Cassius' deck reminds me a lot of my Super Token Friends Atraxa deck, fun asf.
Damn that was a one sided beat down.
Lynch shouldn't need to take a take-backsies counter for skullclamping both creatures as Marsh's Narset "triggers" (They aren't really triggers, it's a 'replacement effect') are Marsh's
responsibility (Marsh would announce the first two triggers from Lynch's draw effects and then Lynch would not do it a second time) :x
Two things, the Alex grey tool poster in the beginning, immediately like. Second thing Cassius needs to do his "taunt" anytime he knocks a player out.
Lynch: "We always discus rule zero and power level."
Also Lynch: turn one fetchland > dual > mana crypt > jeska's will > tevesh szat.
I'm so excited to see an Atraxa superfriends deck. I have one and its so much fun to play. I can't wait to see what Cassius has in his version of the deck.
Lol
Cash is the guy who wears shorts no matter how cold it is outside. Joe is the guy who wears a hoodke no matter how hot it is outside.
I would so love to do this same stuff but representing the East Coast. Still my favorite EDH gameplay channel. Thank you so much guys.
"highest level of performance" oh you are definitely the highest. XD
So... Lynch brought an almost cEDH deck to the table. Or in other words, he brought a tank to a playground fight.
What you mean, Tevesh and Kraum is top tier cede, he just played it sub optimally
It was told to everyone bring their fastest decks, and he did.
@@raffaelbelmonte2526 I assure you, they did not know he was bringing a cedh list. Look at their comments throughout the game. He was playing solitaire. They had no way to deal with all his counters and card advantage. This is a rule 0 gone incredibly wrong.
Yay. That blue card with the black card it is always paired with. Glad we could sit down in the spirit of fun
How drunk were you guys? LOL. I love your content, because the games remind me of the type of games most of us play. It's not polished, it's not pretty, but it's real. Thanks guys.
they seemed stoned, look at the droopy eyes lol
I love Rachel! Also glad to see my boy Lynch win for once! It seems like it's been forever
I love that Cassius has the mike taped to his chest.
He asked to go shirtless. I said no problem. We’ll take it to you!
A true gift to society.
@@misohappy1070 damn I hate typos. I meant we’ll tape it to you lol. But glad you got it.
Can't wait for this match-up!
Fetchlands= abit
Dual lands = alot
The look on cass's face when lynch plays jeskas will = priceless.
It would not have done much, but Lynch missed an Atraxa trigger that would have given him another loyalty on Tevesh.
Respectfully, I did stare..... Would certainly not be opposed to more shirtless Cassius episodes ;) . Great episode everyone! Always enjoy seeing Rachel aswell, really great magic player.
Hell yeah , the trilogy of the postie and prof bromance.
Thoroughly enjoy your content. Keep being true and I’ll catch ya on the flippity.
Awesome game, this was so fun! Loved getting to see Rachel play some more games!
I would never had noticed cash was shirtless
Honestly with that fresh ink, I'd be more pissed if he wasn't shirtless.
@@NeoDMC ❤️
"all white women look the same"
"ONE IS PREGNANT"
lol
Love the tool shirt and Alex Grey net of being!
Don’t forget the Atraxa proliferate on Tevesh loyalty counters, to ult yet again more quickly xD
29:20 everyone's faces say it all hahaha
how nice of lynch to invite the others to watch him play magic!
Finally Rachel is back, but the whole match is Lynch powering up his planeswalker until he takes all.
I'm not staring however I am looking very respectfully with my eyes glued to the screen
This was one of the best IHYD Decks to be featured. LOL go off on em!!
Aye tell cash congrats on that game changing Sack!!! Guess who’s a bears fan now?! I got an ayula deck I’m just calling #59 now!!
I really hope you guys start putting the real-life art of the cards that are being played up on screen. I wanna see all those alt arts on the battlefield!!! 🤩😱
Oh no I was so happy when I clicked this, time to patiently wait til tomorrow.
Cassius may have taken off his shirt, but Lynch apparently absorbed the former's luck energy on turn 1. holy cow.
Lol the takes backsy counter for Joe missing his narset stopping draw 😂😂
Cassius Marsh, that was the most bullshit taunting call in history. you are a legend and the 360 spin kick was amazing. keep doing you and keep your head up.
Ok this is a really old game as breacher is in play and they were still getting the hang of power level and stuff. Fun game to watch but it was an accidental pub stomp
Honestly I think they'd still allow Hullbreacher in this playgroup, since it's more cutthroat.
thanks you guys for the day brightener.. its is a cold dark one here in Oklahoma
Damn I wish we had a rachel in our playgroup as well
Joe ALWAYS says "Rhystic Buddy" whenever it's cast. ALWAYS.
Cassius, Rachael and Prof are the best guests!!! Keep them comin!
I have a glass juice jar that I taped a sleeve to and it un-curls my foils. It works quite well without damaging the card
