I don't work on instruments but I have repaired furniture and jewelry boxes. One trick is to lay a bead of glue along the length of the crack and then to use dental floss or kite string to draw it down into the crack if you can thread it all the way through. Can't wait to see how it comes out. I would guess that a danger with a guitar is vibration in any part of the fracture that doesn't get some glue.
