It’s fair to say that this may just be one of the most exciting 911s EVER released. Powered by a naturally aspirated 4-litre flat-six, the new GT3 can pump out 510hp & 470Nm of torque… What’s more, it even red-lines at 9,000RPM! ❤️
But of course, it’s not all about the engine! The GT3 has SO many drivetrain updates… Suspension, vents, brakes - all of these and SO much more have been updated for the GT3!

@@MrBearTuga You're right. What I especially like about Porsche is that they don't give it more power with every generation and hope it will be faster around the track, no they just make some tiny tweaks on the drivetrain, the suspension and the aero. Thats what makes these cars so appealing to me.
Your both correct, Porsche tweak their car as in fine tune suspension and engine without giving it more power, and perfect their pdk gearbox which is now the best double clutch in the business. The only gripe I have is that I cannot afford the fucking things..😪😪😪

It's most likely more than 510 hp knowing Porsche. They like to understate all specs, including hp.

@@a.banana it's true but 510hp from a naturally aspirated 4.0 flat-6 that doesn't require e85 or 114 octane race fuel it's a good achievement no matter which way you cut it...127.5hp/litre is a solid specific output... a 570s mclaren with twin turbos manages 148hp/litre from it's 3.8l (granted mclaren are also huge liars in this regard...)

2.87s while Porsche claimed 3.4s, that is insane. 1/4 under 11 sec. That is unbelievable, truly crazy. Top of engineering, master craftsmanship. I mean how not to appreciate it? Engineering master alone, makes this car ultra special. This is the one of the top cars for real enthusiasts.

Also you bums need to stop with the concept of one car being cheaper. Yes im all for saving the $100,000 in price difference and using that difference for better economical decisions, such as investing. But goofball the people buying Shelby's and the people buying GT3's usually (while there are exceptions) don't eat at the same restaurants, live in the same neighborhoods, or wear the same clothes. The percentage of their income it would cost to purchase a GT3 is exactly the same if not less (statistically speaking the likelihood of someone purchasing a Mercedes, BMW, mustang, or Camano outside of their income levels is much higher than porsche owners, primarily based on repo and average consumer income rates) than the percentage of income it takes to purchase a Shelby for the average owner. Just a thought.

Aubrey Howe actually, it’s not correct. Porsche has said ALL their cars save the 911 will be fully EV, not hybrid. They tried to get the Cayman and Boxster fully EV to debut in 2023 but performance was garbage due to the weight of the batteries. Their has been no mention of hybrid-which would make much more sense-only EV.

Hi Mat, just a recommendation for future brake tests: it's better to not accelerate right before braking bc you still have acceleration while starting with deacceleration + it's hard to hit 70 mph when accelerating. Maybe a constant speed before braking shows different results.

Sad to say, but Lamborghini never competed for performance, show off cars and that's pretty much it, they don't make engineering achievements. Ferrari is going down that road as well

I'm totally blown away. I actually started screaming when I saw the 2.87 to 60 and 10.8 for 1/4 mile. Considering thee fact that it has 4.0 l naturally aspirated f6, 510hp, 470Nm and RWD, I think that this beast wiped the floor with any other production car at this moment.
It's most likely more than 510 hp but yes very impressive. Just like 0-60 and 1/4 mile Porsche understates HP.

Next GT2 RS is probably cancled due to strict exhaust and environmental regulations... Porsche has inofficialy stated that it cant match these with the new GT2 RS

All GT3’s have those rear bumper vents blanked for legal reasons (they allow stones and water spray off the rear tyres into following cars), for racing the blanks can be removed to vent the rear arches... I did this mod on my 997 GT3.

Hey Matt,
I'd love to see you race the porsche 911 Gt3 with the pdk vs the 911 Gt3 with the manual.
You would obviously have to drive the manual....
But I think it would be a really interesting race since the manual is lighter and has a greater Top speed, but it doesn't shift as quick as the pdk.
Maybe you could also race against it's predecessor.

I'm actually eagerly waiting for the 911 992 GT2RS to be released by Porsche
I hope they make the next GT2 RS at least rev to 8000 even with twin turbos. It's the ultimate 911 so it should sound ultimate too.
I think the GT2 only gets released at the end of the facelift cycle, so you would have to wait another 5 years i'd say.
