When I worked as an extra on Wonder Woman 1, Danny Huston (who played Stryker in this) was on set both days I was there.
He is an incredibly dedicated actor and was so focused for hours on end, it was almost scary.
So no matter if he is playing a generic and shitty villain, he still puts his heart and soul into everything he is in.

You can definitely tell that he is giving this role his all. Dude was really the highlight of the movie, just got overshadowed with a bad arc.

Great breakdown. First character you spoke of was Bolt, not Maverick. Agent Zero is Maverick. But did you hit record, leave the room & the return immediately after?😂

Thanks brotha, and thanks for callin out that mistake, that one must’ve been a poor google. No of course I didn’t, instead I always leave my camera on, I was making breakfast leading up to recording. Got the inkling and began 😉

After finally watching it for the first time, X-Men Origins: Wolverine is, simply put, the worst big budget film I've seen not named "Sucker Punch". It has good ideas, but.... To describe how bad this film is, imagine you're in a cinema, and there's a very obnoxious man beside you. From the studio logos, he's poking you on the face. Slowly. And as the film goes on, he continues to poke you and poke you, the frequency at how he does it getting more increased as time goes on. And then, in the final act, he yells at the top of his voice whilst poking you at an insane speed, and you scream aloud "STOP! STOP! STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!".
_That_ is what it's like to watch X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It's numbing in the worst ways possible. Fact is, I really love the X-Men film series; X-Men 2 and Deadpool are two of my favourite comic book films, and other entries like First Class, Days of Future Past and Logan I have fond memories of and will happily revisit one of these days. So actually watching Origins gave me a shit ton more respect for the entries that followed, and the people who made them. Bryan Singer may be a nonce, but at least he could make a bloody movie. Tom Rothman and the executive morons behind this dreck can't.

I absolutely love your analogy for watching this one. I think there’s a ton of merit in the other x-men movies. I’m currently watching through them again and possibly realizing a lot of that meritis nostalgia. I think this movie could’ve worked in that way for some people. Not me though. Hated it through and through.

@@GioWatchesTelevision Don't even get me started on the special effects; X-Men and X-Men 2 came out 9 and 6 years prior and they had some of the best effects in any 2000s superhero movie. Origins doesn't. Crap, even The Last Stand had better effects, and that suffers from the same issues as Origins (albeit to a lesser extent; if Origins gets a "FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU" reaction from me, Last Stand gets a "Well fuck you. [walks away]" reaction).

The entire premise of xmen origins. Out the gates is stupid as the xmen are born with powers and don't really have an origin at all..

that’s a good point, the word origin could be spun into something a little different. But yes, at the base level all their origins are just birth 😂
