okay, i've finally figured it out: jon and sansa's reunion is the best and most heartfelt for two reasons. the obvious is that it's the first. but the more important reason is that both of them, despite their traumas, are still able to emote and express their true feelings. they're BOTH outwardly emotional when they see each other and embrace for the first time at castle black. none of the other reunions can have that, because the other participants are bran and arya who are so changed from their travels, have been so isolated from people and society for so long, that they are fundamentally different at their core and emotionally detached from what's happening around them. arya's reactions are more heartfelt than bran's, but neither come close to sansa or jon's reactions during any of the reunions, and that's the most important part to make any of these scenes hit.
Sansa is doing such a wonderful job! Sansa has become my favorite character. This scene is everything. I hope Jon gets back soon, really miss his and Sansas bonding.

Even though this scene will NEVER beat the reunion between Jon / Sansa, I admit having tears in my eyes. For Sansa, more than for Bran, of course. The last time she saw him, he was just a child and was in a coma. She just lost her youngest brother and there, she's reunite with the last little brother that she has. We see all her despair and happiness even if Bran has clearly give up human emotions. Personally, when Bran talks to her about her wedding, I had the impression that, awkwardly, he made her understand that he was really sorry for her, that he knew what she had gone through and she did not need to pretend in front of him. I found Bran quite convincing and moving when he told her he was sorry that it happened to her and in their house. But, of course, he has lost a lot of his soul and does not express himself properly. Especially since Sansa, even if she pretends to be all right, is still deeply marked by her wedding. I doubt he'd have brought it up if he knew the full picture, but her reaction is probably the reason he says he needs to learn to see better. It would be soul crushing to have lost the ability to communicate relatably with anyone because you know about their deepest secrets without full context. Bran did have Littlefinger SHOOK when he dropped it on him though and that was fun.

I'm entirely sure the writers made this scene to be compared to Jon and Sansa's reunion to show how things have changed and specifically how much Bran has changed for the better or worse.
What did you honestly expect a Bran and Sansa reunion to be like? I can't even think about Arya and Sansa being all smiles and hugs either. So we'll see how they handle that situation. It was still pretty jarring to see Bran so disconnected, especially when he still seemed pretty normal by episode 10 of season 6. I think everything is a little weird because the show does not do a good job explaining the passage of time. Bran was acting a little weird to Edd when they got to the wall, but I assumed it was because he didn't know him and was trying to get straight to the point. I'm sure a couple of months have passed, so Bran has been downloading so much information that he is gradually becoming less human. But the show has not done a good enough job of showing that. They treat Bran like a side-character and an exposition machine, when he is meant to be one of the main players for the end of days.

He might not have seen everything that happened on her wedding night. He said he could just see bits and pieces of different events. I doubt he'd have brought it up if he knew the full picture, but her reaction is probably the reason he says he needs to learn to see better. It would be soul crushing to have lost the ability to communicate relatably with anyone because you know about their deepest secrets without full context. Bran did have Littlefinger SHOOK when he dropped it on him though and that was fun.

the thing is that's actually not what he was saying, people need to calm down, he was specifically talking about the wedding because all the people there aside reek are dead so there is no way he would know unless he had the sight, he was emotionless yea but what do you expect he can see all at all times he just sees horrors and betrayals, sisters killing brothers and families that one shared a table backstabbing and raping and lying, children slaughtered in there beads weddings, funerals and the knight king, the fact that he can have any emotion at all even enough to say sorry is pretty amazing.
When everyone is eventually crying that Sansa is "power hungry" and trying to "steal Winterfell" I hope they remember this scene and how Sansa tried to get Bran to embrace the fact he is Lord of Winterfell as their father's last legitimate son. Doesn't sound like something someone drunk on power and ambition would do.

I'm entirely sure the writers made this scene to be compared to Jon and Sansa's reunion to show how things have changed and specifically how much Bran has changed for the better or worse.
What did you honestly expect a Bran and Sansa reunion to be like? I can't even think about Arya and Sansa being all smiles and hugs either. So we'll see how they handle that situation.
It was still pretty jarring to see Bran so disconnected, especially when he still seemed pretty normal by episode 10 of season 6. I think everything is a little weird because the show does not do a good job explaining the passage of time.
Bran was acting a little weird to Edd when they got to the wall, but I assumed it was because he didn't know him and was trying to get straight to the point.
I'm sure a couple of months have passed, so Bran has been downloading so much information that he is gradually becoming less human.
But the show has not done a good enough job of showing that. They treat Bran like a side-character and an exposition machine, when he is meant to be one of the main players for the end of days.

Yeah and chose a shitty way to do it. Why not bring something else up? Her secret talk w/ Sandor, Her privrate meeting about periods with Cersei... but no. There were other ways he couldve easily demonstrated it instead of bringing up the ceremony before one of the most traumatizing events of her life. Thats just cold.
