Hi Does these gauge clusters work off of a speedometer cable "? i have a 1993 chevy cheyenne and sitting in park revving up the motor the speedometer goes way up into the 60 mph zone and driving it realling bounces around clear up to 80 mph when im only going around 30 mph do you know what my problem would be ? it's a v-6 engine. i was going to check speedometer cable but looking at your clusters they don't use a cable mine is like the one you have on top right. Thanks.
I do wonder if LED lights will fit into the cluster. They are larger than regular bulbs. I tried putting one in the upper map light, but the hole was way too small for it to fit into.
I watched the show pimp ton char the french version off the pimp my ride and I saw how radicaly the cars are transformed on that show you should see that.
Dude thank you so fucking much man. I was at the point of buying a new speedometer but now I know the other one I have can fit.also, that is that metal piece off the speedometer for?
I kept the same face I I just drilled a hole in it haha actually I went opposite of you I went from the one with the tach to the one with no tach but I forgot to set my gauges before I put everything back together so I'm not sure if my gas gauge is correct I'm not sure if I have to open it back up and reset everything
Did you reset your odometer? I did the same thing but want to reset my trip to the original miles it has. Truck sits at about 240,000 but the new cluster is at 198,000. Any way you can set it back manually?
I was going to change my cluster the rpms are not working but that’s the only gauge inoperative could it be something else besides the cluster before I change it?
1992 and up trucks all have the wiring for the tach to work, all you have to do is pull the old one out and press the new one in! Any year before that and you will have to add the wire to the distributor.
Didn't have to, but I wanted to. That's part of being in the car hobby, always changing, modifying and personalizing your ride...
Sweet I did the same to my gmc obs and I swapped over the mileage from the old cluster to my new/used cluster.
Yup- love the 4500 RPM red line...
very informative, just got a Silverado here in Australia & all the gauges are fked, this is gonna help a lot for me, cheers!

Sweet, tach works.
Great video, now i know i can change mine
Glad to help~
What did you use to polish the lens?? That turned out nice!!
so the connector are the same u did not had to run a wire from distributor to tach
92 and up is plug and play, any year before will have to be wired.
I used Meguiar's PlastX Clear plastic cleaner and polish. I like it a lot better than their mirror glaze cleaner and polish...

I got a 93 cluster for my 94 and the oil pressure gauge is 0-30-60 for the 93 and 0-40-80 for my 94. Is that a big deal?

I have a 94 silverado and I want to Add a tach. Is it just plug and play? I wonder if you could swap the odometers

Look up Dakota digital..
if you don't mind me asking i was wounding what you did with the original gauge cluster without the tach?
Did you reset your odometer? I did the same thing but want to reset my trip to the original miles it has. Truck sits at about 240,000 but the new cluster is at 198,000. Any way you can set it back manually?
did you ever get the trip odometer working? i done the cluster change and its not working.
I was going to change my cluster the rpms are not working but that’s the only gauge inoperative could it be something else besides the cluster before I change it?
nice video man! do you know if that cluster you swapped in fits on a 1989 gmc 1500?
Franky Vera yes it will as long as the outsides are the same shape
Why does your volt meter bounce like that?
Where you buy the cluster?
Would this fix a broken odometer?
I'm trying to swap a 1991 cluster "moon" to needle 1993 cluster any help? Thanks
does the tach just work?
what dash pad is that? and would you happen to have a link
LMC truck sells it. Number: 38-2625-TN. The TN is the color, so yours may be different.
Did you have to add any wiring for the new tach? My temp charge has failed so I like this option
1992 and up trucks all have the wiring for the tach to work, all you have to do is pull the old one out and press the new one in!
Any year before that and you will have to add the wire to the distributor.
Thanks for that info man i have been looking that answer 4. 3. Yrs
Wait how did the 95 cluster fit? in the 94 dash the 95 cluster is like 2'' longer ten the 94 cluster?????
+Lukas Douglas This was a '92-'94 cluster. You are right that a '95 and later cluster won't fit, totally different dash design.
:( i got an 94 dash n 95 cluster
Well some of thoes 94 will have the newer cluster and some won't
How did you do the gear selector thing
its a cable that runs from the cluster to the bottom of the steering column. It's very simple once you see how it works.
My 94 has the rpm meter
Don't have to change it.
DAKOTA DIGITAL😃
what tool you use to take the ac climate control apart
