I was stationed at "the heath" 1963 to 1966. The rooms were very small 6ft x 12ft. and 2 men in each room. I could write more another time. Enjoy the Heath!

Was there in 84-86 and it was two to a room. No bathroom or kitchen. Just enough space for a dresser each and a bed. Was in bldg 936 and 840
The male dorms have the same exact set up. You can move things around to your liking. I ended up swapping the bed and desk area and it made the room more spacious.
Hey! Congrats on making it to Lakenheath! I just have a question, are those dorms for people with specific AFSCs or they for everyone? I'm expected to be there in a month.
Hey Justin! Thank you for congratulating me. The dorm that I'm currently staying in is for the communications squadron so it does vary based on your AFSC.
That’s awesome. Unfortunately I don’t have any experience on that end however if I ever run into a pilot I’ll be sure to ask them that question. Im sure there’s similarities.
I love your vibe and the tour looks awesome. I want to enlist next fall and this dorm looks beautiful. I’d love a video of your BMT experience. Were you nervous? What are some things you wish you knew before you went? What was in your BMT bag? Any tips for how to shower quickly and efficiently? Sorry for so many questions I just know you mentioned saying specific questions. Thank you!
Adelia Cruz-Bianchi Thank you for all of your questions! I will be making a video to answer all of them and to also go into detail with my BMT experience. Stay tuned for that in January, that’s when I will be purchasing my next camera and it’ll be a lot easier to record for you guys. ❤️
Their not too bad. The temp dorms are bigger than the dorm room I'm staying in and they also just started moving people into the newer dorms, not too sure how those look. See you around!
Aw, you're welcome. As far as having similar dorms, I'm not sure. They recently moved a lot of people all over. But being a 3s I would see you having a similar dorm as me or you could be in the temp dorms, their room is definitely bigger the only difference is you don't have your own kitchen.
Hey Jonathan, the bx is definitely close to the dorms like right around the corner. Its about a 7 minute walk from my building. Everywhere that you need to go is in walking distance.
You are so lucky to get Lakenheath.. How did you do it? I really really want Lakenheath. I havent sworn in yet... I'm still talking to my recruiter.. How can I get Lakenheath? Was it your first choice?
Thank you! It all depends on the needs of the Air Force so there really is no secret. RAF Lakenheath was last on my dream sheet. When I was in BMT But I was told that if you want to get overseas then you're better off just putting overseas locations on your dream sheet and maybe one or two stateside bases so you're at least showing that you're flexible. Hope this helps!
Masimba Fraser Thank you! I will be posting more content next year. I’m currently in the works of getting a new camera with better quality. Stay tuned!

Do you know by any chance if the male dorms are the same set up? I PCS there after tech school in May

LOL, my room at Lakenheath in the 80's was the size of your walk in closet.
Another Dave haha, things have definitely changed over the years
You're beautiful 😍 and congrats!! I ship out Nov 28th!
Hi can you make a video of a dining facility at Lakenheath please.

im hoping to become a pilot in the RAF would the dorms be the same for pilots?

@@nataliarosa3614 ok thank you i was just wondering because i do know things are different for different pilots.
Of course!
this is an RAF base but the United States airforce are stationed there so their dorms are to US standards not UK one
Looks alot better than the dorms I was there in the mid 90s

rooms don't look too bad! gonna be at Lakenheath in 2018. will probably see you around I'm LRS as well.

Do you get a lot of snakes or centipedes or roaches inside your dorms there? Idk how bad bugs are in England
England doesn’t have too many but always keep your hygiene to prevent any. You can get small roaches etc
hey thank you for the video it was sooo helpful and thoughtful. i'm a 3s do we have similar dorms?
