Great vid. Love that Thule system. I have a small SUV and use a 2 bike Thule rack on an 1 1/4" receiver, it's a great company for all racks. Always nice to see a new rider enjoy their first time out. I hope your bud keeps going!
Looks like a great solution for getting the bikes to the trailhead if riding there isn't possible. And faster on/off if carrying three or more bikes. Thanks!
Can't go wrong with the tailgate pad! One of the only issues I have seen with the tailgate pads is it is easy for someone to steal while at the trailhead. I run a cable lock through the tailgate handle opening of the pad an lock it to the hitch receiver to discourage theft
Depends on where you take them, obviously, but I have heard of bikes being lifted from trucks stopped at lights. It is worth throwing a lock across there
I have a tri fold tonneau cover. Was thinking of a pad but can’t decide. My rear window will blocked by the folded tonneau cover so I can’t see the bike. Hmm I have a f150..it’s a pain to remove the pad then install it before and after a ride…

Awesome demo video. I just picked up the Thule pad for my Tacoma. How would you recommend locking the bikes? The 4-5 foot Kryptonite chain locks are too short.
I couldn’t justify the cost, but they look like they do a good job. I’d be careful not to block my taillights though. How big is that trail system? That looks like a nice place to ride.
Hey I’m looking to get a small trailer about 15-18 ft. What is your best recommendation right now at this time for a budget small trailer? Thanks! And would you recommend getting used or new? Stay safe.
Easy with 1 bike. When you have 2-5 bikes, it's a recipe for bent spokes, scratched paint, damaged derailleurs or cables, and a mess when untangling them to use.
If I'm going to be carrying around $8k+ in bikes I can throw down a product designed for it, with pockets, strap, padding, and an opening for the camera.
I'm a fan of hitch racks as well, however, you are generally limited to 2 or 4 bikes (and I'm not a fan of hanging 5' of bikes from the back of my truck). This may provides more support and keeps the bike close.
I just throw them in take my kids to the track. Why pay for something not necessary. Well I guess if I had RUclips money then sure. Have a great day. Realist
I just toss mine in. Theyre bike they get banged up on the trail anyhow. Plus that cover all its doing is Ruining the paint with the tire pressing on it and moving while driving. I moved away from bikes anyhow i just ride dirt bikes now i get a better work out on a dirt bike as well
After all these years of watching your channel never would I have thought you ride like that. Awesome man, great video!
I use a 2 x 4 with bike fork mounts attached laying across the floor of the bed. Super secure, inexpensive, and I can still lower the tailgate.

Great video, nice Thule bed cover and AWESOME singletrack footage!
I have a raceface version of that and it is great

Good call with the handle. I wish my Thule pad had grommets for a cable.
OK, even if you are carrying 8 bikes... I think an F-450 is a tad bit of overkill. ;o)
I wouldn't recommend hauling more than 3 bikes with less than a dually.
I like how he explains everything! 👍
Big Truck I've been using moving blankets, I get them for 8 bucks on sale at Harbor Freight they work great
Like the tailgate bike mat. Wow was that you or you stayed behind the camera. 😂😂😂😂
Which part?

And you have its too far forward. It should come down the tailgate more because that flap, is actually to allow you to access to the tailgate latch

I’m watching this in my vw golf lol
Do you have a video about the “rock block seal”?
I sure do
Big Truck Big RV Great! Thanks😀
Edit: I found the video and just ordered the Rok Block for my F-150. Thanks!!
Will 4 adult size beach cruisers fit?
Will this work for ebikes.
Very cool! I’ve never seen that before. And there is no way for the bike to scratch the truck?
Nope, not if it's installed properly.
I couldn’t justify the cost, but they look like they do a good job. I’d be careful not to block my taillights though. How big is that trail system? That looks like a nice place to ride.
Its a pretty large system. Some tracks are 1/2 mile all the way up to 7ish miles.

What bicycle or bicycle seat do you recommend for my 6yr old daughter?
There are a few options I'll highlight in a video
What bike rack would you recommend for putting behind a fifth wheel?
Coming soon and NOT what you might think :)
Have you ever pulled a camper using this?
Wouldn’t ever put something like that on my paint of the truck
Cool - But looks like alot of work
Why not just lay it flat on the bed

$180 for that?? Hell no!!! Throw a moving blanket over the tailgate and hit the road!!

I throw a towel under a thick yoga mat, and haven't had any issues yet. You can also get hitch racks for pretty cheap
You have a beard.lol
Why need bike when you have a truck? 😝
Because I don't need high cholesterol and heart disease :)
1st time seeing a bike rack like that for the tailgate. Personally, not impressed. I’d much rather have a good Thule hitch mounted rack.

He also has 600-800+ dollar bikes, you don't really want to just throw them in the bed lol.

dedalliance1 I sure hope a bike at that cost wouldn’t get messed up just from laying in the back
