I have some rulers for cutting on the mat which I purchased also and one is for large pieces and one for squares and I will be using both of these and I will get the triangle ruler if I see that I want pieces like that in my quilts. Again, I want to thank you for providing us beginners with this tutorial and the others also too.

These are the videos I need! I have a question about washing fabric, I've always washed my fabrics before using (never have quilted before). I bought some fat quarters to use and washed them before I even thought about if I should or not. I read that you should not wash them. Have I ruined the quilt already? Also, I have another big piece that I haven't washed that matches the fabric. If it's ok to wash, do I need to wash this one too? Thanks!

Hi! I wash all of my fabrics before I cut and piece my quilts because I don’t want to run the risk of colours running after all of my hard work.
Whether you wash your fabrics on not, the most important thing is that all of your fabric should be one way or the other so that it shrinks evenly after washing. So if you have washed some of your fabric for this quilt, you should wash the rest.
If you’d appreciate a recommendation, I have learnt a lot from Karen over at her youtube channel “Just Get It Done Quilts”
      Happy quilting!

LOVE your series of videos! What iron should I get?

Get a basic steam iron and that'll do you. Any that has a cotton setting and you'll be fine. No need to shell out

There's too much emphasis on gadgets.

I tried the grip, but it is too hard to peel off the backing, won’t try again until they make the improvement.

TBH these products advertised by youtubers are just paid product placements. Undisclosed sponsorships like that are very common on youtube, dont waste your money
