I was really into Indiana Jones wanabes in the 80's. The best was Canon's King Soloman's Mines starring Richard Chamberlain and Sharon Stone. The lest said about the sequel the better. The score really set it apart. Also of course Chuck Norris and Louis Gosset Jr. in Firewalker.
